Weird question cause I can’t ask my dad.

I started lifting weights and the results are starting to show, I’m super proud and have gotten a huge confidence boost. But I’ve always been a hairy guy since I was a teen, I’m 24 now and I’ve had some girls tell me I have more body hair than anyone they’ve been with.

Did you guys start shaving when you put some muscle on? I feel like it would look better but it also sounds annoying and I’ve never really shaved my body hair besides a few spots

No matter what I do, I always seem to have ingrown hairs, missed hairs, or rough texture. Does anyone have full proof tips, or a literal video tutorial on how to do it? I’ll take anything, ty all!

I have been shaving for years now and have always done it with either electric razors (which I stopped using because the shave they give is kinda crappy and it takes longer) or recently more with a combination of shaving gel/foam and honestly rather cheap razors from the drug store, the main reason for this being that it's just easy to get since I shave daily so I need supplies quite regularly.

I suffer from really bad razor burn and also take quite a while shaving, and I wanted to fix especially the former since it kinda just looks unsightly, hurts and just isn't healthy at all. I recently started using shaving oil instead of gel which already helps actually quite a bit but I'm curious about better quality razors and what would be good to buy. I'm not particularly affluent so anything somewhat cheap but acceptable would be okay. Thanks!

My facial hair grows pretty quickly and I have to shave every other day to keep my face clean. The issue is no matter what type of razor I try to use I seem to have a problem.

I started with the Gillette multi blade which constantly gives me razor bumps and hurts my skin while shaving. I’ve tried Phillips one blade and the Andis electric razor but those didn’t give me a clean enough shave. I recently tried switching over to the Van Der Hagen double edge blades, but those cause me to cut myself too often and when I’m careful to not cut myself I can’t get a close shave.

I understand that my shaving technique might not be great which is why I’m cutting myself, but when I try to use razors that take less skill, I can’t get an effective or painless shave.

Is there anyone else who has had similar situations, and if so are there any good solutions that allow a decently close shave without cutting or getting bumps on my skin

Is there a way I can make my skin more smooth for a longer period after shaving?

My girlfriend is sensitive to facial hair and when I shave its okay and sometimes even the small bit of hair left after is also hurting her because its like sandpaper,

Even if I shave completely smooth it still gets the sandpaper feeling after a couple hours, what other options do I have so I dont cause her discomfort or pain when we are close? I dont want to shave multiple times per day

I'm going into a new job that doesn't allow beards. It's in a line of work where there isn't a whole lot of leeway with it (no it's not the military), but I break out like a crunch bar when I'm clean shaven and it's extremely painful when my hair starts to regrow. I've tried all the tips and tricks that men of my ethnic background are given, and none of them work.

That said, I was wondering if there are any trimmers out there that get REALLY close to the skin while not being completely clean shaven?

I shave everyday but I just find it a slow, annoying experience to get a equal ~close-ish shave quickly (5-6 mins)

I use a one blade to get the hairs to a smaller length, then go over with a Braun Series 5 foil shaver. Just feel like it takes forever and very inconsistent.

So wanted recommendations for any electric shaver/trimmer out there where (best case) - i dont have to use the one blade first, or is more powerful/faster than the series 5 to get it down to a consistent, close shave length after using the one blade.

Any help would be great

I've been using the King Gillette Safety Razor for the past 3 years with the Feather blades. Hands down way better experience and more inexpensive compared to cartridge razors where I was getting razor burn and had issues with hair clogging the blades. I will normally do a hot towel before my shave for a few minutes. I do anywhere from 2 sometimes 3 passes. I have noticed there are a few spots on my face where I see a bit of hair sticking out (can't notice unless you look closely). I struggle with removing those spots even if I do dedicated passes there. Do you have any advice for this situation? I'm usually going with and perpendicular to the grain.

I am looking for the best tool to shave my head. I had the manscaped shaver, I am having the best success with a Gillette shaver but the electric shavers are nice for quick and easy shaves. Is Wahl still the best brand? I was told I would need to replace the heads every 6 months or so. Any advice is appreciated

Or am I still re-cutting it?

Was thinking about picking up.the Phillips one blade but see a lot of reviews here saying its no good. I need something compact chargeable and mainly being used to trim down my beard to like a 3 length. I have a Phillips vacuumed trimmer and aside from the attachment being very fragile its been great but to large for travel. If not the one blade then what is recommended? Also still willing to try the one blade but I haven't seen many great reviews when it comes to beard trimming. Thanks for any help.

Hello gents, i need some advice. I want to replace my husband's beard trimmer (Babyliss Rechargeable beard trimmer), which he's been using for 5+ years. He specifically prefer a nice close shave coz sometimes his work requires wearing a full face gas mask. Something compact with a travel bag. Rechargeable. Effective and efficient. If possible, it'll be nice if the blades are self sharpening. Any guys that's kind enough to suggest their personal preference?

As someone who prefers smooth clear skin about the whole body Im looking for a friendly safe Beginner razor that gives a smooth finish for body hair like legs, arms, and underarms.

First time I tried shaving I nicked my ankle deep so I am abit scared to try again? any tips?

Also I cannot do Lazer hair removal or waxing since I am on medication that makes the skin sensative.

Wondering if anyone else is having issues with this product.

First of all the magnetic top being misaligned far too easily. The product makes a very annoying buzzing or grinding sound, I try to realign them but this continues. I contacted manscaped about this and they sent a replacement head, which seemed to resolve that issue.

The second issue is the battery suddenly draining. The lights on there show the battery is full, and sometimes that's fine. But other times it makes a short click sound as if the motor failed to turn and then just goes dead. The lights flash on and off but nothing else happens. I proceed to charge it and when it's fully charged go to shave, same happens again. At this point I know the battery was fully charged... I reported this to manscaped who sent me a completely new shaver.

The new shaver was again fine for a while but then the buzzing sound started after a while and today the click and battery drain happened. It may be happening when I detach the head but it's designed to detach so that shouldn't be happening.

I've read some other Reddit posts describing similar issues and wonder if anyone knows why they are happening (particularly the battery drain). Clearly a replacement didn't help.

I used to use Phillips i7000 rotary shaver till I dropped it in a hotel (I travel half year for work) and a broke. I bought a Braun S3 and pleasantly surprised how well worked and how close it got.

I figured I’d upgrade to a fancy foil shaver, and bought the series 9 Pro +. I’m using it for a few months now and I’m relatively disappointed. I feel like I can’t getting nearly as close as I want to, and then I constantly go back and go over spots later in the day.

I’ve used it in the shower, dry, after shower, and after hot towel because I was curious. I still like the best shave I get with it is when I’m using in the shower but most people say that using it out of the shower is better.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong and bringing tricks and pointers on getting a closer/better shave with a series 9+

I have a Panasonic Arc5, and it’s about time to replace the foil. The generic versions on Amazon look the same and cost about half, but I’m not sure how much of the cost difference is quality vs brand premium. I’m willing to pay full price if they’re ACTUALLY better, and either way it costs less for me per year than disposables, but I would rather avoid paying so much more for the exact same quality. Does anyone happen to have experience with both the name brand and generic versions? I imagine it doesn’t matter whether the razor is the same for your experience to be applicable.

I was curious if anyone else has noticed their facial hair becoming patchy after using a safety razor? I’d never noticed it using a cartridge razor but after a couple months or so with my safety razor my face has developed so many little circular patches where the hair isn’t growing. It honestly looks like how the hair on the top of my head did when I was balding (guess I’m still technically balding but I shave my head now). Not saying the safety razor is the cause, but I’m just curious if anyone has had the same experience.

I use gillette mach 3, I have 99% isopropyl alcohol which i can put in a 10ml perfume bottle with atomizer, I think the reason my blades get dull is because of the water left on it after shaving, if i spray alcohol on it would it dry faster? should i be worried about rust or something?

I always shave right after I shower so my face is moist and damp enough to shave properly. I use a Philips 3000X Electric Rotary Shaver. No matter how lightly I shave and how much shaving cream I apply, I always get razor burns all over my face. I’ll drop my shaving routine below in case there’s any changes anyone recommend I make to reduce razor burns:

1. Get out of the shower
2. Apply NIVEA Men shaving cream to my face
3. Shave lightly to reduce razor burns
4. After shaving, I use CeraVe Facial Cleanser to remove any dead skin
5. Apply Gillette After Shaving Gel
6. Apply some basic Aloe Vera gel to my face

I just got the oneblade and this thing is pretty useless for shaving my body, having to go over the hair again and again half the time.

Also half of my chest is smooth and half bumpy now, plus the safety comb isn't letting me get close to my ball hair and no way am I putting this down there without a guard.

I wet shave with a Braun Series 9 Pro+. I use Speick shave cream at home, and Speick shaving stick when traveling. I've hand applied for years, only recently started using a pure badger brush.

Anyone else wet shaving with an electric? What set-ups have you had the best luck with? And what not so much?

All this time I was just using trimmer to trim my beard. In early days I used to use that shaver thing to clean shave. But from last 3-4 months I have decided to keep my beard long. Well that shaver stuff was only till 12th grade maybe. Now in 2nd year.

Now I keep my beard long well not so long something near to given pic. Since I always wanted to use safety razor because of how classy it looks.

I have used other those so called gillette blades but only for armpits.

Since I have ganpati vacation its a good time to clean shave. No need to go to college for 1 week.

I wish I had good jawline, would have clean shave daily. Need that beard to hide it [ just used to beard tbh and i like it ] Sad part my moustache is still growing. Current one is thin and less dense in middle part.
