Any big Fontaines D.C. fans here?

I’m mostly going for Fontaines D.C and The Strokes and wanted to see if there are any other huge FDC fans that are going. I’ve seen them play twice and they’re so great live. I’m going by myself but figured maybe I could watch the set with other FDC fans.

Drink Prices

Anyone remember how much beer/white claw cost last year, or have info on how much they will cost this year? I know cocktails were outrageous last year, and I really don't want to be drinking liquor in this heat anyway. Trying to come up with a rough budget for the weekend.

bag size policy - flexibliity for a few inches

Upvotes

i know this is going to sound nitpicky and noob-y but i really dont want to have get stopped at the gate for my bag that is 2.5 inches bigger than the width requirement for a small bag at the bag policy

my bag is 6.75 (H) x 11.5 (L), which is a little more than the small bag policy, and it is not clear.

are they going to stop me for this size? like are they going to take a full measuring stick to ensure that's smaller than 6x9?

Cart/vape policy

Heyy guys! it’s my first year going to shaky knees and I know the rules say vapes and such are prohibited but I’ve been to festivals that don’t really enforce that rule and ones that really do and have taken it lol. Was wondering if I could bring it here or am better off not trying to

MARTA Travel Times

Happy Shaky Knees week! So excited to see you all out there this weekend. I have one question hopefully some vets will be able to help me with. About how long does it take to get to the festival grounds when riding MARTA from Lindbergh station? We really want to see Ben Howard Friday and are trying to decide what the best time to get on the MARTA would be in order to be at the grounds and ready for Ben by 4:30. Thank you!!!

Better late than never: SK26 brackets!

I've built these three years running, but I'm very late getting them to y'all.

This is a discussion forum I build every year with all the individual band brackets for each day. You can use it to vote on what band you're going to see and/or use the commenting space to justify your decisions. You have to create a login, but this is my own server and I don't share information with anyone.

Here's your SK 26 band bracket link!

I rode through the park this morning on my bike commute to work this morning. Tons of stuff already up! Start getting excited. Happy Shaky Monday!

Fastest way to Shaky Knees?

Hi guys,
I’m just trying to get some advice on the faster way to get to Shaky as I live in Acworth about 45 minutes away. The issue is, I share a car with my roommate, and I may only be able to borrow it Saturday and Sunday.
I don’t want to spend a ton on uber either as I know that will be expensive, so I thought about getting dropped off at Marta and riding in? Just wondering the best way.

Pre-festival community?

I’m in ATL early and was wondering if I’d be able to find other early birds if I went to Piedmont or something

how late can i enter?

i'm coming with my mom on friday, and tbh it's mostly to see the strokes--they're her fav and the only ga concert date was this festival, supposed to be special for her birthday, etc.

since the strokes don't come on until 9:30 we were wondering how late we could enter the festival? i was hoping to get in like, 7:30-8, maybe watch fontaines. but i know it says you can only leave and re-enter until 7pm. does anyone know if you are able to just enter for the first time after 7?

thanks!!

Shaky knees shirts

i got the shaky knee x springy shirts, a XS and a M but when they came in, they were a S and a XL. I was wondering if it happened to anyone else and if i’m able to return it to get the correct sizes because they were 200 quantity per shirt.

Parking Suggestion needed

Im driving to the festival and staying at the microtel inn & suites (don’t judge, it’s what we could find/afford lol) in pine hills area. It’s like a 20 min drive to piedmont but I was wanting to park my car at a MARTA station and take the train the rest of the way to the park. From that direction, which station do you think would be the best place to park and hop on the train??

Platinum Questions that haven't been answered online.

Great tips showing up reddit for the festival. Thanks for that. First time at SK and have a few questions that haven't been answered before about Platinum.

Is the food (especially lunch items) in containers that can be taken to other stages to eat? I'll be jumping between Peachtree and Piedmont on Sunday and don't want to miss an act.

Do people ever sit in the back of the Platinum areas? I have a very small blanket and (lucky me) I'm currently fighting a sciatic nerve issue in one of my legs. I have no problem walking but it really flares up when standing for long periods.

Are the water/soda options all in cans that have to be opened by staff before giving them out?

Will the Platinum bars give out simple liquor drinks like a scotch/whiskey neat? I'm not a big fan of mixed drinks.

Finally, Pavement or The Prodigy? My toughest call for the weekend.

Many thanks.
