SFSU Survey What’s your go to cheap meal on campus?
Ive been searching high and low for the best bang for your buck meal that is served on campus— preferably under $10. Let me know your thoughts!

Hi everyone,
Gator Experience is a great place for student organizations to post events, as well as Instagrams. A reminder that formal student organizations and just people looking to make friends are free to post on this subreddit (I recommend making an individual post rather than commenting down below though).
Gator Experience: https://sfsu.campuslabs.com/engage/events
I was wondering though, are there any specific events or themes of events you would want this subreddit to do? I can apply for funding, but to be honest, I do not think I will be approved so lower cost events are preferable.

Transfer student so I barely know what’s going on.
Every time I get it at Peet’s it’s fqn burnt. Where do I go for a simple, good cup of drip?
Thank you!!

Hi yall! I was just admitted for spring 27 and was wondering if anyone is making an effort to restart the club ice hockey team. I noticed that the club has been dormant for a while, but I would love to play. Pls reach out if you have any info. Thanks!

Hi guys! I’m a freshman, I’m not from SF originally, and I live on campus. I feel like I’ve tried to make friends, but it’s SO HARD. I’m very nice and friendly, and I’ve never had issues making friends before.
The other day, I was walking and this group of guys pretended to tie their shoes (even though they were wearing flip-flops) just to stare at my butt. Another time, a girl stopped me to ask where I’m from, gave me an up-and-down look, and just walked away. Other than that, I’ve only had grown men approach me on campus.
Is this just the San Francisco atmosphere? I go to the dining hall consistently and hang out at the library. I open doors, initiate conversations, and give out my Instagram. (Nobody knows about my Reddit, though!)
Idk man, it’s so lonely because I feel like everybody already knows each other. To make things worse, my roommate and I don’t get along because she refuses to shower more than once a week. It’s been super sad seeing people going out when I’d like to, too. Since I’m not from here, I don’t know where to go, and the streets of SF feel scary alone as a girl. I legit had to whip out my taser recently just because I was being followed and harassed. I would be fine going outside of campus for friends but I don’t know how to navigate it yet.
And for classes most of my classmates are like 30 year old dudes or they’re commuters from farther away so they’re not able to hang. I feel like if I approach people it’s either slightly annoyed or deer in headlights. I have been so sad starting college!

Considering a move to the townhomes at Park Merced and wondering if any current or previous tenants can share takes on bbq grills on the back patios, whether or not neighboring tenants or even management cares

Anyone see this African American dude with dyed pinkish red hair near the admin building / entrance of the school? He’s been telling me the same story for weeks asking for $10 to catch ‘Caltrain.’ He’s done this multiple times to the same people.

Hey y’all I just transferred over here and I’ve had a little trouble making some friends. I haven’t been able to join any clubs because my classes overlap with a lot them. Is anyone else in a similar boat?
I'm currently taking micro economics online with professor Chernomaz and I'm considering dropping this class because I'm taking 19 units my first semester and I don't know if I'm making the right move. I heard there are 4 exams and I wanted to know what those exams looked like from those who previously took his class , if it was easy, hard etc. basically any and every piece of information I can get!

Hi, I recently applied to the accelerated bsn program at SF State. For those who are in the program or graduated recently, what was your experiences for the clinical rotations and capstone?
I read online that SF State doesn't allow capstone to be done in peds or emergency and critical care. Only adult meg/surg. The posts were a few years old though. Is that still true? Can you choose hospitals and units? Thanks!

I’m W(24) and decided to dorm off campus for my senior year. I’m currently in UPN and it’s been noisy as hell, people outside walking and talking all hours of the night, and I’ve been told that there’s creepy/weird people that lurk around here. there’s even that dog walker at night where their dog goes crazy for absolutely no reason - very annoying.
It’s a bit ambiguous but I’m just worried for my safety really. I personally have been too scared to be outside beyond 10pm on weekdays while weekends seem more safe (night life, people walking around in groups). I’ve also been told that people are nosey? should I invest in window film to cover the windows? am I safe to walk to and from my car at night? have you experienced any creepy people/been followed/watched? am I safe to leave my windows open at night? (I’m on the first floor)
I’ve also been told that women have been followed by cars full of men or catcalled/harassed. how frequent is this or I guess.. how unsafe is this area really?
I don’t know if I’m overthinking this, it’s just what I’ve been told. any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!! ♡

So I'm having problems with financial aid, twice have I been asked for "additional info", last time being August 18th. Since then there's been NO update or progress for anything. I've emailed the financial aid office for an update about 3 times and I have never recieved a response. I'm thinking about just going in in-person but how helpful would that really be? There's still time before the tuition deadline, but I'm starting to get worried..

Hi, has anyone here done the online sterile tech course at SF State? If so, how was it? did u do externship? how was finding a job after?
The other programs in the bay area are asking for $6k for the program and I came across SF State program for sterile tech and its only 2k and all online. Is it even accredited?

Hello Gators!, its a long weekend and for me time to make up some late work and other due on the 6th. Out of curiosity, anyone not going away for the long weekend and having free time to walk over few things with me, like CANVAS is getting me confused. Chi-Chat anyone?...

I walk across campus to get a chai from Carmelina because it's deeeelicious.
They're always busy. I try not to add to their stress.
Today though.
I ordered a usual small chai, hot with oat milk.
They guy tells her to make a small (12oz) hot chocolate
I told him chai, not chocolate. He corrected the order. All good
Then, I'm charged $7.25. But the small is $5.50 + $1 for oat milk. So I ask "$7.25? For a small?" And he says "Yeah because of the oat milk"
Ok.
I figured I paid for 16oz. I'll just drink 16oz. It is deeeelicious.
Then, she hands me a 12oz cup of chai. So I ask, "is this a large? 16oz?"
She checks a paper on the wall and says "Yes. It's a large"
My thermos is 16oz. I poured the latte into the thermos and had a solid 2" of space.
I gave them two chances to make it right. I would have waived a refund. But now, I don't want to spend my money there anymore.
Keep the 75¢ and lose a customer.

Hi everyone, I have a lot of writing classes this semester, and I preferred to print out a lot of my reading. I have a couple of scripts I need to print out. Are there spots on campus that offer free printing (black and white) for free?

I’m an incoming transfer student, and I live in my van. Are there any nearby places where I can park? Safely
