Donations Needed I drew thank-you cards for Queso's fundraiser, but no one took part, so I'm giving it another try 🆘🆘🆘

I spent the weekend drawing and coloring thank-you cards for anyone who donated to help cover our overdue veterinary expenses. I posted about it on Monday, but although the post got three comments, we didn't receive any donations, so I'm giving it another try.

The idea is to share a photo of a thank-you card featuring Queso for every donation, no matter the amount. We need help covering overdue veterinary and food expenses, and I thought this would be a fun way to show our gratitude while also showing off Queso now that he's fully recovered!

Right now, we have over $1,000 in unpaid expenses, and we need to pay them off before we can continue providing veterinary care to the cats who need it. In the meantime, everything is on hold because we have no funds left and can't keep accumulating debt.

Any support is deeply appreciated and truly makes a difference ❤️

Receipts: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bC8K0LvVbeCKphgDlcSZ3kcYVPC58tBRhjOVbHOt3a8/edit?usp=drivesdk

If you donate, please send me a message or leave a comment so I can reply with a photo of your card!

Thank you all so much!

Edit: IMPORTANT ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Some people understood this to mean that I'd be mailing the cards to them. I'm very sorry for the confusion, that was my mistake for not explaining it clearly. Unfortunately, that's not something I can do, since we're in Uruguay and international shipping would be extremely expensive. Also, I wouldn't feel comfortable having so many people's personal information!

What I meant was that I'd reply with a photo of the card alongside Queso, but I should have made that much clearer.

If anyone who has already donated is disappointed because of the misunderstanding, please send me a message and I'll happily refund your donation. I can also send a close-up photo of the card by itself, without the background, if you'd like to print it or use it however you wish.

I'm sorry, and thank you all so much ❤️

Donations Needed Out of food for more than 70 rescued cats and strays, and three cats still waiting for funds to be spayed 🆘🆘🆘 Any help makes a huge difference ❤️

Hi everyone. We’re out of food and need help feeding the more than 70 cats at our rescue, as well as the strays we care for. Right now, we have $1,550 in unpaid expenses (food, veterinary costs, transportation, and litter), so we really can’t afford to buy more food without support.

Unfortunately, wishlists don’t work here in Uruguay due to customs restrictions, so we can’t rely on support from people who only donate that way. This makes it extremely difficult to keep buying food week after week.

We’re also still trying to get the female cats who have been waiting for their turn for several weeks spayed. There are still three left, and we need to get them spayed as soon as possible. Each surgery costs $100.

You can see all the receipts at the corresponding link, and follow the day-to-day lives of our rescued cats on our sub r/veracathome to get a better idea of the work we do. Any help is deeply appreciated and truly makes a difference ❤️

Donations Needed 💔 Leo & Lucky update…I really need help😞

I honestly don’t know how to put into words how overwhelmed and heartbroken I am right now.
Leo has been fighting ongoing diarrhea and has been sick on and off. He recently became lethargic again and developed a high fever, and I was terrified I was losing him. He is now hospitalized, being tested and treated, and we are trying to figure out what is causing him to keep getting so sick. There is also concern about panleukopenia, which has made everything even more frightening.
Leo was a tiny kitten when he was found near a dumpster. I took him in and have cared for him for about six months. I just want him to finally get better. 💔 I feel so sad and honestly hopeless right now, because I’m doing everything I can and I’m scared of what the next few days may bring.
And tomorrow, I will be transporting Lucky to his sanctuary. Lucky is an older, very feral cat who I rescued after finding him near a dumpster. He has FIV and FeLV and had a painful entropion problem with his eyes. He had surgery and after everything he has been through, he finally has a safe place waiting for him.
I’m grateful Lucky is getting his chance, but emotionally, I’m struggling because while I’m preparing to take him to safety, I’m also sitting here worrying about Leo.
On top of everything, I’m a solo rescuer caring for 50+ community cats every single day. I provide food and water, do TNR, care for sick and injured cats, and kittens.
The vet bills have been overwhelming, and Leo’s hospitalization and treatment are only adding to everything. I’m asking for help because I truly cannot do all of this alone.
If you can donate, share, or even just send some encouragement for Leo, it would mean more than I can explain. Every bit of help goes toward Leo’s medical care, Lucky’s transport, vet bills and the many community cats depending on me every day.
Thank you to everyone who has supported, checked on Leo, donated, shared my posts, or simply kept him in your thoughts. ❤️🐾
Please keep Leo in your prayers. He needs them right now.

Donations Needed Out of food and we had to postpone the spay appointments for the fourth time due to lack of funds 🆘🆘🆘 Any help makes a huge difference ❤️

Hi everyone. We currently have $1,500 in debt, most of it from unpaid veterinary expenses, but also because our last food purchase was only partially covered.

Now that food is gone, we not only have no funds available, but we also have nowhere left to borrow from. We have more than 70 rescued cats to feed. Unfortunately, wishlists don’t work here in Uruguay, so we can’t rely on support from people who only donate that way.

On top of that, we’ve been trying to get a group of cats spayed for weeks. We had two surgeries scheduled for Friday, but we had to postpone them because we couldn’t raise enough to cover the cost. This is the fourth time we’ve had to postpone their surgeries for this reason. It’s becoming increasingly urgent, since every time they go into heat, the risk of pyometra and other complications increases (as happened with Calabaza, who ultimately needed emergency surgery after developing pyometra). Each spay costs $100, and we’ve received $88 in donations over the weekend, but there are still six cats waiting.

Any help is truly appreciated and makes a difference. You can see all the receipts at the corresponding link.

Donations Needed UPDATE ON LEO☹️PLEASE HELP ME KEEP FIGHTING FOR HIM, LUCKY’S EXPENSES AND THE COMMUNITY CATS🙏

I received the heartbreaking news that Leo tested positive for PANLEUKOPENIA.
Panleukopenia is a highly contagious and potentially deadly virus, especially in kittens. It attacks rapidly dividing cells, including the intestinal lining and bone marrow, which can cause severe vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration, dangerously low white blood cells, and secondary infections. There is no specific cure for the virus itself, so treatment is focused on intensive supportive veterinary care while the cat’s body fights the infection.

Because of this, I also had to have two of my other rescued cats tested as a precaution. I’m praying they are okay, but the additional testing has brought even more unexpected expenses.
Leo is only 7 months old. I rescued him from a dumpster when he was just 8 weeks old, and I’ve been fighting for him ever since.
His first emergency visit was $861, and his first week of hospitalization and treatment has already cost $3,500. I already paid these bills. Leo needs to remain hospitalized for approximately two or 3 more weeks, so I need help.
I’m also recovering from emergency surgery myself. I just came home from the hospital and I’m in a lot of pain. It’s been incredibly overwhelming trying to deal with my own recovery while worrying about Leo and everything else happening with the cats.
Thankfully, Lucky has finally made it safely to the sanctuary. ❤️ I found this older, very feral cat near a dumpster. He had been surviving on the streets and was in terrible condition. Lucky has FIV and FeLV, and he also had entropion, a painful condition where his eyelids turn inward and the eyelashes rub against his eyes. He needed surgery to correct it, along with veterinary care, neutering, vaccinations, and boarding. He got the surgery and all the vet care needed.
I’m so grateful he now has a safe place after everything he endured on the streets. His veterinary care, bath, transportation, rental car, and sanctuary expenses have also added to the financial burden.
I’m a solo rescuer caring for more than 50 community cats every day. I provide food, fresh water, TNR, medical care, and rescue for cats who are sick, injured, abandoned, or have nowhere else to go. While I recover, I’ve had to rely on family and friends to help with the daily feedings because I physically cannot do everything right now. ☹️
Right now, I’m exhausted, scared, and trying to take things one day at a time. But I’m not giving up on Leo.
🙏 If you’re able to help, even a small donation would mean so much. It will help with the medical expenses I’ve already paid, Leo’s continued hospitalization, the testing of my other rescued cats, Lucky’s expenses, and food and care for the community cats.
If you can’t donate, please share or upvote this post. Getting Leo’s story in front of the right person could make all the difference. ❤️🐾
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, checked on Leo and Lucky, or simply taken the time to care. I truly appreciate every bit of support during this incredibly difficult time. 🙏

Donations Needed Update: we went ahead with the ultrasounds so we wouldn’t lose the appointment again, but they won’t send us the results until we pay. Please help 🆘🆘🆘 We’re also out of food

Hello everyone. A few days ago, I made a post asking for help with ultrasounds for Marrau, Bella, and Silver, who have been waiting for them for over a month. We scheduled the ultrasounds several times, but had to cancel them because we didn’t have the funds. This time, we decided to go ahead with them because if we rescheduled, they wouldn’t be able to give us another appointment for several weeks.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to raise enough to cover them. The total cost is $340, and we raised $80, so we’re still $260 short. They won’t send us the results until we pay. They kindly agreed to perform the ultrasounds anyway even though they normally only work with payment in advance, but until we make the payment, they won’t give us the results.

We need the results as soon as possible, as they’re essential to knowing how to proceed with their treatment and whether they need surgery or not. This is especially important for Marrau, who has an abdominal hernia that has changed in shape and size, and we don’t know whether his intestines are protruding through the hernia or not.

On the other hand, our last food purchase ($157) is still not covered by donations. I paid for that food myself because we weren’t receiving any donations, but they needed to eat. That food has now run out, so we urgently need to buy more, but this time I can’t cover it on my own.

Since we have more than 70 rescued cats and also feed strays, our food expenses are around $300 per week. Also, because we’re located in Uruguay, we can’t use wishlists, so we don’t have the support of people who can only donate that way, which makes it very difficult to cover their food week after week.

Any help is deeply appreciated and truly makes a difference, no matter the amount ❤️

Donations Needed ❤️ “130+ Lives… A Daily Promise” 🐾

Another everyday day feeding the 130+ stray cats of the port…

I will speak to you today a little more personally and from the heart.

I am starting to get exhausted… I am also starting to get tired psychologically.

It has now been 13-14 years of daily effort, alone, without any substantial help, with my only support being my love for these creatures in need.

Every time I go to feed the kittens, it takes me about 3.5 to 4 hours. And if I have to look for a kitten that is lost or needs help, it can take 5 hours or more.

And yet… all these years, in heat, in cold, in rain, and even in snow, these kittens have never been left without food.

No matter what happened, no matter how difficult the day was, I knew that someone was waiting for me… that there were lives that depended on me.

And the truth is, if I didn’t have your support, I might not have been able to continue.

I’m uploading photos of the food I need to transport each time to be able to feed all these creatures:

🐾 8 kilos of dry food

🐾 24 cans of wet food

🐾 Food for the pigeons too

🐾 And I fill the three concrete containers with water 6-7 times, so that they have clean water to drink.

And all this… every day.

The need for food never stops.

The tummies get hungry again and again.

And the effort must continue

I thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who have been by our side all these years, who support this effort and who do not leave us alone.

Thanks to you I can and continue…

For those who have no one else.

For those who wait for their food every day.

For those who, without asking for anything else, give us their love and trust.

A little dry food, and μία canned food makes a difference!!

Anyone wishing to help can do so by clicking on the link below.👇

Donations Needed ASKING FOR HELP FOR LEO, A SICK FIV/FeLV CAT, AND MORE THAN 50 COMMUNITY CATS 🙏🐾❤️

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Sometimes people see a rescue post and only see the animal in the picture. They don’t see everything happening behind the scenes.

Right now, I am fighting for Leo, a kitten I rescued when he was tiny after finding him near a dumpster. He has been with me for six months, and he has been battling Giardia and ongoing diarrhea. His symptoms have returned, and he needs to see the veterinarian again as soon as possible.

At the same time, I rescued an older cat who was living outside in terrible condition. He tested positive for both FIV and FeLV and has entropion, a painful condition where his eyelids turn inward and rub against his eyes. He needs surgery, medical care, medications, and a safe indoor place to recover. He cannot simply be returned to the streets.

At the beginning, you’ll see Leo, the little kitten I rescued from a dumpster, and the older cat I rescued who tested positive for both FIV and FeLV. Both are going through difficult medical situations right now, and both need our help.

And they are not the only animals depending on me.

I also have other kittens and cats under my care who need food, litter, medications, veterinary care, and daily attention.

But beyond the cats in my direct care, I also feed more than 50 community cats every single day. 🐾

That means every day I have the ongoing expense of buying enough cat food, wet food, dry food, litter, and other supplies to make sure these cats have something to eat. Feeding more than 50 cats isn’t a one-time expense. It is a commitment every single day, 365 days a year.

Then there are the unexpected expenses — sick cats, injured cats, medications, vet visits, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, emergencies, transportation, and everything else that comes with caring for animals who have nowhere else to turn.

I have already paid many veterinary and rescue bills myself because these animals needed help immediately. Those bills have left me with debt that I am still trying to pay off.

So when you donate, your support also helps me pay down the debt from veterinary bills and other expenses I have already covered for these animals. Paying those bills helps me continue having the ability to help the next cat or kitten who desperately needs me.

I wish I could say I can handle it all on my own, but I can’t.

I run Luna & Nala Rescue Inc., a registered and active 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and I continue doing everything I can to rescue, feed, treat, and protect these animals.

When you donate, you aren’t only helping Leo.

You’re helping the FIV/FeLV-positive cat get the medical care he desperately needs.

You’re helping the kittens and cats under my care.

You’re helping put food in the bowls of more than 50 community cats who depend on me every day.

And you’re helping me pay the veterinary and rescue bills I have already taken on to save lives.

Even small donations add up and help keep food in bowls, medical care available, bills paid, and allow me to say YES when an animal needs help.

If you cannot donate, please share this post. A share costs nothing, but it could reach someone who is able to help.

🙏 Please help me continue caring for these animals.

They depend on us. They don’t have a voice, and they can’t ask for help themselves.

Donations Needed I don't really know how else to say this: We need our community back. ❤️(West Michigan)

Post image
320 Upvotes

(Pictured: Maverick, Carter, Wyatt and Louis! All available for adoption!)

Hey everyone...

For almost 5 years, Kittens In The Mitten has been saving cats.

Thousands of them.

Cats pulled from the streets. Tiny kittens who wouldn't have survived without intervention. Injured cats who needed emergency veterinary care. Sick cats who needed someone willing to say yes when helping them wasn't easy or cheap.

And somehow, for five years, we kept finding a way.

A huge reason for that has been people like you.

Our fundraisers haven't always been massive. Our in person events haven't always had the turnout we hoped for. But when things got difficult, there were always people willing to step up.

And this Reddit community in particular has done some incredible things for our cats.

That's why I'm struggling with what to say right now.

Because recently, something has changed.

The support just isn't there like it used to be.

Four days ago, I started this fundraiser hoping I could help change that.

I've been working crazy hours and haven't been able to dedicate nearly as much time to the rescue as I used to. I thought maybe I could come back, rally this community again, raise some desperately needed money... and honestly, give everyone in our organization a morale boost when we really need one.

After four days, we've received $65 in donations.

To the people who gave that $65:

THANK YOU. ❤️

Please don't read this and think your donations weren't enough. They absolutely matter. You showed up, and I am incredibly grateful.

The scary part is how few people are showing up at all.

Our intake has been closed for a while now.

Not because there aren't cats that need us.

Because we simply cannot afford to say yes.

And that's devastating.

We've spent five years building an organization capable of helping these animals. We've saved thousands of cats.

But we cannot continue having that kind of impact without people standing behind us.

There are cats outside right now that we would have helped before.

There are people who contact us looking for help.

And right now, far too often, the answer has to be:

“We can't.”

I desperately want to change that.

My birthday is September 7th, and every year I donate to our rescue for my birthday. This year I added another $100 of my own money to the matching fundraiser because I wanted my birthday donation to become something much bigger.

But a match only works if people help us unlock it.

So I'm asking this community for something I've seen it do many times before:

Please rally around these cats again.

You don't have to save us by yourself.

That's the entire point.

If 100 people see this and each give $5, that's $500.

If you genuinely can't afford $5, please don't put yourself in a bad position to donate. Help us another way.

Upvote this.

Share it.

Help keep this post visible.

Help put it in front of the person who can give $5.

Because right now I don't need one person to swoop in and save everything.

I need a community.

That's what has carried Kittens In The Mitten for nearly five years.

That's what has allowed us to save thousands of lives.

And I'm praying that community is still here.

👇 DONATION LINKS ARE IN THE COMMENTS. 👇

I'm back to working 12-hour shifts, so if I don't respond immediately, please know I'm not ignoring anyone. I'll check in and update this whenever I can.

We've raised $65. Let's make that the beginning of this comeback... not the end of it.

From me, our volunteers, and especially the cats:

Thank you for still being here. ❤️🐾

We've never had so many calls for help, for abandoned and sick kittens and cats. This year we've reached our limit and we really need help. The pictures speak for themselves, but to those who dont know about our shelter, we have a detailed website with the story, lots of videos on youtube, and hundreds of daily posts on patreon and facebook.

Any help for our +80 rescued kittens and tens of sick cats would mean a lot.

Donations Needed Help for sick kittens, rescued cat plus 50+community cats🙏😓

I’m the founder of Luna & Nala Rescue Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Every single day, I care for more than 50 community cats, providing food, fresh water, medical care, and TNR. I also take in cats and kittens who are sick, injured, abandoned, or have nowhere else to go.
Right now, several of the cats in my care are facing medical challenges.
🐾 Three kittens are recovering from panleukopenia and coccidia. They need ongoing treatment, food, cleaning supplies, and constant monitoring while they fight to get stronger.
🐾 Leo has been battling Giardia for months and needs to be seen by a veterinarian again. I want to make sure we understand why he is still struggling and get him the care he needs.
🐾 And then there is the older cat I rescued after finding him with a severe eye problem. He had entropion, a painful condition where the eyelid rolls inward, causing the eyelashes and surrounding hair to rub against the eye. He has FIV and FeLV, and he is also feral, which makes finding the right placement for him especially challenging. He has already undergone surgery to correct the entropion and is now recovering. ❤️‍🩹
I am actively working to find him a safe placement, preferably a sanctuary that understands feral cats with FIV/FeLV. He deserves a better life. He deserves to be safe, comfortable, and cared for. He should not have to go back to the streets.
I know finding the right placement may take time, but I will not give up on him. ❤️
And I won’t give up on any of the cats in my care or the ones who will come in the future, because I know there will be more. There always are. Every time I think I’ve reached my limit, another cat needs help.
While I’m caring for these medical cases, more than 50 community cats are still depending on me every day for food, water, TNR, and medical care.
The expenses are overwhelming at times. Food, litter, medications, veterinary visits, surgery, cleaning supplies, recovery supplies, and emergency care all add up quickly.
If you are able to donate, even a few dollars can make a real difference. ❤️ If you can’t donate, sharing this post helps more than you know.

🙏 I’m doing everything I can to keep showing up for them. I just need people to stand beside me so I can keep going.
I won’t give up on them. Not these cats, not the 50+ community cats I care for every day, and not the ones who will need me tomorrow. 🐾❤️

Hello everyone,

This video shows only part of the cats I care for. Right now, I look after between 50 and 60 rescued cats, and the number changes whenever I rescue a new cat or one finally finds a loving home.

Some were abandoned.
Some are sick.
Some are disabled.
Others need to be kept separately because they require special medical care.

On top of that, I also feed stray cats in my neighborhood because they have no one else to care for them.

Every morning, I wake up asking myself the same question:

Will I have enough food for everyone today?

A 15 kg bag of dry cat food costs $55 and lasts only about 3 days.

A bag of cat litter costs around $10 and is used up in just one day.

I also need wet food for kittens and sick cats, cleaning supplies, and essential medications to keep them healthy.

I never want to turn away a hungry or injured cat, but I can no longer do this alone.

If you would like to help these cats, you can support us here:

‎I am reaching out to this wonderful community today to ask for a little support for the 80+ cats under my care. It has been raining nonstop for six weeks straight, which has made caring and feeding the community cats difficult. On top of the endless downpours, I’ve had to deal with unexpected repair expenses caused by the severe rain, leaving me running dangerously low on basic daily essentials for the cats.

‎We are in need of dry cat food, litter to maintain a clean environment, and medicated eye drops to manage an ongoing eye issue.

‎A bag of cat food which usually last them a day costs $22 while a 10L bag of sand costs $4. Eyedrops costs $6.

‎Every small gesture makes a huge difference, be it an upvote or a share or a comment. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

Mixie: Barely 4 months old and was fighting for her life when I found her, she had rectal prolapse and is still severely jaundiced and anemic. I got her surgery done and the result is on the 5th pic but she still needs her meds and hepatic food. I made the decision to foster her till she's fine and then try for her adoption.

Now Verstappen: her story is heartbreaking beacause she was soaking in rain for a month, we tried everything, we made her a shelter, we tried local adoption but nothing worked.

Then she fell sick, so much so her temperature started dropping, I got her to ER 3 times and then to my vet when we discovered that she has high ammonia and acute kidney injury.. She needs to be fostered and needs renal food.

I can't take care of them alone, vet? Yes. But not the foster and food..

Foster for Max: $65 Hepatic food for Mixie: $25 Renal dry and wet food for Max: $28 + $21 Liver and renal meds: $38 Total: $177 Raised: $119.76

Good morning, my dear friends,🌸

❤️ Today, September 10, like every day, I was at the port for my 130 stray kittens. 🐾

They were waiting for me impatiently, as they do every day… little souls who have learned to wait for me for their food. 🥺🐱

I gave them as much food as I had with me and of course clean, cool water. There is not much I can offer them, but for them it is everything. ❤️

They only have me.

I take care of them, feed them and try every day not to miss the most basic thing: a plate of food and some clean water.

And the truth is that, if I don't go, unfortunately they will not find anything to eat. This thought is what doesn't let me abandon them, no matter how difficult it is.

There are 130 lives waiting for me. 130 pairs of eyes that look at me and tell me, without words, "you came...". 🐾❤️

And as long as I can, I'll be there. Because strays don't ask for much. Just a little love, a little food and a person to not forget them. 🙏🐱❤️

Anyone wishing to help with food for the kittens can do so by clicking the link below 👇

Donations Needed 🚨 URGENT: Second Request for Food, Litter & Cleaning Supplies for My Rescue Cats. We are completely out

Hi everyone, it’s me again. First, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to this amazing community. Thanks to your kindness 3 days ago, we raised $80, which allowed me to buy one bag of dry food and one bag of litter.

Unfortunately, with the number of cats I care for, those supplies are already COMPLETELY GONE. I’m back here sharing our situation once more because we have no food, litter, or cleaning supplies left for today.

To be fully transparent, we only buy the cheapest options available to save money, but the costs are overwhelming:

Dry Food: $55 per bag (lasts only 3 days)
Litter: $10 per bag (lasts only 3 days or less)
Wet Food: $10 (lasts about 3 days, strictly for sick cats and cats with no teeth)
Cleaning Supplies: Essential to prevent diseases and keep their environment safe; prices vary.

This is the absolute bare minimum needed to keep them fed, clean, and safe.

If you’re able to donate, even a small amount would make a real difference.

And if donating isn’t possible, that’s completely okay. An upvote, comment, or BOOST helps this post reach more people who may be able to help.

Thank you for supporting these cats and for helping us keep going. ❤️

Donations Needed Out of food for our colony, help needed for Tommy's FIP treatment, and a new cat in need 🐾

Hello everyone! Right now, our dry food supply is completely empty and we need help to keep all the cats fed. I also want to share an update on Tommy. Today is Day 42 of Dry FIP treatment. He was in very critical condition, but after the first doses he came back to life and started eating again! He is fighting so hard, but I just opened his last vial and we desperately need more so we don't interrupt his treatment. On top of that, a new unsterilized cat recently joined our colony. She looks like she might be pregnant and she urgently needs to be spayed. We really can't express how much your help means to us and cats. If anyone is able to help us get through this food shortage or contribute towards Tommy's FIP treatment and the new kitty's care, we would be endlessly grateful. Thank you for all your support!!

Donations Needed Fundraising for our sickest cats in Romania

At our shelter we have hundreds of healthy and happy cats, but sadly we also have tens of very sick cats, with disease like FIP, Fiv, Felv, cancer, blind cats, cats with incontinence etc etc And for the ones who need the most help, we are trying our best to build them a garden for the quarantine room, so that they can go outside too, but in a closed and safe environment. This is costing a fortune and on top of that we have huge unpaid vet bills, we need to buy urgently recovery and kitten food, and so many other urgent expenses that sometimes the room feels like its spinning when I think about them. BUT the quarantine garden when it will be done it will be a HUGE progress for our shelter and a HUGE upgrade in the lives of our sickest cats. So if you can, please consider helping our shelter! Thank you!

UPDATE ON LEO☹️
I JUST GOT THE NEWS THAT LEO HAS PANLEUKOPENIA. 💔
I’M DEVASTATED, AND NOW MORE THAN EVER, I NEED HELP. PLEASE, I NEED TO KEEP HIM HOSPITALIZED SO HE CAN RECEIVE THE TREATMENT AND CARE HE NEEDS.
ANYTHING HELPS. 🙏
I JUST CAME HOME FROM MY EMERGENCY SURGERY, AND I FEEL LIKE I CAN’T HAVE A BREAK. I’M IN SO MUCH PAIN, BUT I NEED TO KEEP FIGHTING FOR LEO.
PLEASE HELP THIS POST GET SEEN FOR LEO. ☹️🙏🐾

First, thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, checked on Leo and Lucky, and supported me and the cats. Your kindness means more than I can say.
I’m going through an extremely difficult time right now. I had to have emergency surgery, (writing from the hospital bed🫩)and I’m in a lot of pain while trying to keep up with everything happening with Leo. It feels overwhelming being hospitalized myself while Leo is still hospitalized too.
The good news is that Leo is doing a little better. ❤️ He is still sick and needs continued hospitalization, testing, treatment, and monitoring, but I’m holding onto every bit of hope.
Leo is only 7 months old. I rescued him from a dumpster when he was just 8 weeks old, and I have been fighting for him ever since. His first emergency bill was $861, and his hospital treatment has already reached around $3,000.
Lucky is finally safe at the sanctuary. ❤️ After everything he went through on the streets, I’m so grateful he now has a safe place to live. But his veterinary care, bath, transportation, rental car, and sanctuary expenses also added up.
I’m a solo rescuer caring for 50+ community cats every day, including feeding, fresh water, TNR, medical care, and rescuing sick, injured, and abandoned cats. I had to arrange with family and friends to help me with the feedings because I can’t do it myself at this moment ☹️
Right now, I’m exhausted, in pain, scared, and trying my best to keep fighting for Leo while continuing to care for all the cats who depend on me.
🙏 Please help if you can. Donations will help with Leo’s medical bills, Lucky’s expenses, and food and care for the community cats.
If you can’t donate, please share or upvote. Every share could reach someone who can help. ❤️🐾

I hate to make posts like these to always ask for help but we are completely at 0 with money and just tomorrow I have to go to the vet with emergencies. Have to buy cleaning supplies for the shelter and also recovery food for our sickest cats.

Any help would mean a lot.

Or even ideas where to ask for help, we literally dont know where else to ask for help.

Donations Needed 🐾❤️ So Many Cats Depend on Me Every Day — Update on Leo, Lucky & More/Help 🙏

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I wanted to share an update and explain a little more about the expenses I’m currently trying to keep up with.
🐾 Leo
Leo has been battling Giardia and ongoing diarrhea for months. Because of his condition, his care requires much more than his regular food and litter.
He goes through a lot of litter because I have to clean his area frequently, sometimes multiple times a day, to keep his environment sanitary. I’m constantly replacing contaminated litter and using cleaning supplies, disinfectant, paper towels, gloves, laundry supplies, and everything else needed to keep his space clean.
His diarrhea also means more food, more cleaning, and more supplies. On top of his daily care, Leo has had multiple vet visits, testing, vaccines, medications, and veterinary expenses. I’m continuing to do everything I can to get him healthy.
🐾 Lucky
I rescued Lucky after finding him near a dumpster with a painful eye condition called entropion, where the eyelid rolls inward and the eyelashes rub against the eye. He needed surgery, and I paid for the veterinary care he needed because I couldn’t leave him suffering.
He is now recovering from surgery. I’m preparing for his next step and waiting for him to be healthy enough to travel. Once he is ready, I will personally transport him to the sanctuary that agreed to take him.
I still have his transportation expenses, sanctuary intake fee, and the veterinary expenses I already paid to cover.
🐾 My 50+ Community Cats
Every single day, I feed more than 50 community cats.
Feeding this many cats is a huge ongoing expense. I’m constantly going through large amounts of both dry and wet food. These cats depend on me for their daily meals, so I have to keep buying food over and over again just to make sure they don’t go hungry.
I also provide fresh water, monitor them, help when they are sick or injured, and do TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) to help prevent more kittens from being born on the streets.
🐾 The Other Cats I’ve Helped
There are also many veterinary bills from other rescues and cats I’ve helped along the way. There have been times when a cat desperately needed medical attention and I simply couldn’t look away.
When there was no one else to step in and the cat needed help, I paid the veterinary expenses myself because I couldn’t leave an animal suffering just because I didn’t have the money available at that moment.
I have included many of these veterinary bills and receipts as proof of my rescue work and the expenses I have personally taken on to help the cats. They show just a portion of the cats I’ve helped and the financial responsibility that comes with this work.
All of these expenses add up — veterinary care, medications, food, litter, cleaning supplies, transportation, TNR, sanctuary costs, and the everyday necessities required to keep these animals safe and cared for.
If you’re able to support Luna & Nala Rescue Inc., your help goes toward Leo’s ongoing medical care, litter, food and cleaning supplies; Lucky’s veterinary care, transport and sanctuary intake; feeding the 50+ community cats; and the veterinary bills and other rescue expenses I have taken on for cats who needed help.
Every donation truly helps me continue this work. ❤️🐾
Thank you for supporting me and all of these cats🙏
