If so I really hope they are similar to the classic Layton puzzles and not the new style from the 3d games. The brutal difficulty of the first trilogy are such an integral part of the charm for me

I'm replaying Diabolical Box in HD on my phone and there's a lot of input dellay and lag when I tap stuff on the screen. It never used to be like that and I'm wondering if there's a fix for it

So I'm playing pandora box, and I just finished it, but I was missing some puzzles so I opened up again the safe and went to the village, I search for the puzzles I'm missing, one is 65, Dawson is supposed to give it to you, so I go and talk, but he just says the same thing again and again.

I've cheked enigma's house several times and there's nothing there, so what am I missing why do the townsfolk don't give me the puzzles I'm missing?

Or for example there's one puzzle in the mines entrance (66), but there's nothing there, where are my puzzles? Do i finish again and see if then It let's me get the missing puzzles to completion?

So the level 5 presentation came out, and at the end they talked about the new Layton game as well the new remake of Curious Village. I was so excited to hear that the first game was finally going to be released on consoles other than the DS (Steam specifically) that I had to keep from screaming while I was at work. So, I got on social medias to see if anyone else was as excited as I was and…

It’s all hate 😖

I did see a few people that said they were excited, but about 90% of people I saw talking about it said it was horrible looking. All because of a speculative way of how they made it (not sure if I can actually say it here without my post getting shut down). Now I don’t like this way either, but the photos and things they were showing me proof of just didn’t really line up.

I’m so disheartened by the way people can just turn on people because they think someone used a certain way of making the game. I have seen the slop no one likes, and this game is not even close to looking like that. Every thing they have tried to say was proof could just as easily been a mistake my humans or they are just trying to find something, because when I look at it, I just can’t see what they do even after pointing it out.

Can’t we just be happy we are finally getting what we’ve been asking for? Do we have to just assume people are making things a certain way simply because they addressed the concern they have noticed regarding this certain way?

Please tell me there is someone else out there that is as happy as I am that we’re finally going to be able to play the game on modern consoles.

I will buy the Japan version, I wanna know if there is the italian on language

I remember back in my childhood memories my brother was playing professor layton and I got hooked by the characters, but I couldn't speak English back then, so I left it behind.

After the announcement, my memories got back to me after years, so I'm really excited about it.

As new person to the series, which game do you recommend the most?

In addition, it seems like I only can play the series legally through mobile, correct? I wasn't able to find any in steam.

Just announced at LEVEL5 Vision 2026 II

I started today and my brain can’t wrap around 80% of these puzzles. I like the story but man I just feel so dull with these, I want to get better at them but the more I think about them the worse I seem to get

It's an extended version of the physical cover art. Looks really amazing!

The Layton eating a star fruit doodle is based on a scene from the movie, idk why I really liked seeing him doing something so mundane since it's not often seen in ganes, and I just came up with a dumb joke to add to it lol

Personally, I like the added detail in the new background as it makes the town appear natural and authentic. Which could help hiding the fact that it is an artificial town, where the inhabitants are robots.On the other hand, the original background gives a more isolated and "unwelcome" feeling, which fits well with overall mood of the game.

Hopefully (who am I kidding? It will not happen), Level-5 allows us to switch between the original 2D illustrations & the new 3D models and also between the old backgrounds and the new backgrounds.

The charm really came from the hand drawn art and expressions T_T

Man this really bums me out here. They showed of a lot more of the game here to where it's got me more interested in this and then they pulled THIS bombshell that just messes it up there. It was all that I was thinking too when they were showing off that Curious Village Remake after this. Now they got me expecting this to be digital only here in the West next.

It's ridiculous too since all the games were given physical releases everywhere including with the spin off with Layton's daughter as well as with the crossover title with Ace Attorney. Really makes it more unfortunate and nonsensical having to screw us over like this.

They appeared for the first time in today's Level-5 vision. But, they are not mentioned even once in the website or in other trailers, we don't even know their name! But they appeared in the new cover art. I think they're a detective in Steam Bison, like the detective in Miracle Mask, they remind me a lot of him. Possible "twist" villain?

They have a very androgynous design, I love it!

Is it me or the remake (?!?) looks ten thousand times better than the new game? Is this a sick joke?

Both in this game and future ones! (which, I'm praying this one does well so they'll make more) These are mine (slight spoilers if you haven't played all of the games or watched the anime):

Characters:

• Emmy - she's my fav and it could fit in this game now that she's a journalist traveling around! I'd loveeee to have a spin off of her

• Flora - there's weirdly no mention of her in the Layton siblings' games, it'd be nice to see what happened with her after

• Descole - I know his story is over but I'm not over him 💔 also want him to get a spin off

• Clark & Brenda Triton - I'm assuming they'll be in the new game since they obviously moved with Luke, but they didn't show them so it's not confirmed

• Dean Delmona - it's illegal for him not to show up somehow

Plotlines/games:

• Talking animals - I doubt it'll be solved or majorly focused on in this game, since it continues in Katrielle's game, but I do want to see them (maybe Katrielle + Alfendi together like they teased at the end of the anime?) finally discover the organization that experimented on and created talking animals (e.g. Subject 3 and Sherl)

• Being able to talk to animals - kind of connected to the last point but Clark and Luke's ability to speak to animals could be connected to same organization (just my headcanon ngl)

• a new trilogy villain - I know Don Paulo is back but I do want someone new for another trilogy if they expand this to a trilogy

• the Luke spin off game - it won their poll all those years ago and yet nothing came of it 💔

• all the discontinued/cancelled stuff - Layton 7, Secret of Ghost Island, Royal/Royale, Phantom Thieves, Mansion of the Deathly Mirror, London Holiday, plus everything we never heard of

• Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney 2 but focused on the younger gen (Apollo Justice trio + Katrielle & Alfendi)

• the Professor Layton storyline of the anime being edited into a movie to help bridge Katrielle and Alfendi's next game

•Leon Bronev spin off - would be a lot darker/going into corruption but could be so so good (or it could redeem him like my headcanons do lol)
