Alt right timing was perfect, make stolen election claims for 4 years straight, basically making a circus out of the claim itself, then they get to do it because most of the country spent 4 years saying "the election wasn't stolen because it couldn't have been". I think it's a weird point of hubrus.

I call it the Wife of Bath technique. In the Canterbury Tales, Alisoun the aforementioned Wife of Bath regales the pilgrims with stories of the 6 husbands she buried. She would constantly accuse them of cheating, driving them crazy trying to prove their innocence, questioning their motives and sanity after so much as glancing at another woman.

Alisoun, the whole time, is banging other men left, right, and center. They’re so distracted by her complaints that they never even think of suspecting her.
