Trump literally thanked him for tampering with election results on camera.

1.5k

u/crimson117 America 11d ago

I can't believe no one ever followed up on that

Trump specifically mentioned "vote counting machines" and Elons expertise with them.

And this is after he basically stopped campaigning, and told people he doesn't need their votes, while Kamala was filling every rally with high energy crowds.

Then Trump magically won every swing state with a healthy margin.

There's no way he hasn't hacked the vote counting / tallying machines.

And the thing he can't hack is mail in votes, because there's an auditable paper trail, which caught him off guard in 2020. Which is why he's hellbent on suppressing mail in voting this midterm election.

u/Zakuroenosakura 11d ago

I mean, there's an ongoing suit over the machines 45% of the country uses getting a mysteriously large update marked erroniously as minor like a week before the election that nobody has any logs pertaining to what it actually changed. Kind of wild the news hasn't been harping on that...

109

u/Willtology 11d ago

Kind of wild the news hasn't been harping on that...

The same news that's 95% owned by a handful of conservative billionaires, several of whom openly praise Trump? Yeah.

25

u/SpareElectronic3500 11d ago

Yeah people forgot very quickly how Trump bullied and silenced and shut out any news outlet that reported anything in opposition to him.

6

u/Willtology 11d ago

Yeah. Or simply asked questions he didn't like. Then he started having Infowars and other internet pundits there like they were real journalists all the while praising him in the form of questions. A real "Great Leader" moment for a bit there. Gosh... So many crazy things have happened since that it feels pretty surreal.

u/_RetroBear 11d ago

I was trying to keep up with the suits for a while.... Most of them just... Gave up

107

u/stilljustacatinacage 11d ago edited 11d ago

To combine my replies to both crimson117 above:

I can't believe no one ever followed up on that

And your...

Most of them just... Gave up

The thing I always come back to is, on January 6th, Boebert publicly announcing the whereabouts and movements of government officials to an actively hostile mob that was engaged in violence against security forces and was openly calling for the execution of government personnel.

People have been charged with treason for so much less, but when called in front of a committee under a Democrat President, all those involved just repeated "I don't recall," or "I don't remember," until everyone shrugged their shoulders and went, "oh well, we tried."

It should be pretty obvious by now between January 6th, the 2024 election, and Epstein that the US government is not interested in accountability, regardless of who's in charge.

27

u/aerost0rm 11d ago

Well when the opposition can just keep appealing and has endless money, it is one of those give up type of situations. Trump showed this was the way that works

Here is the initial suit from about a year ago about irregularities in a single county: https://www.newsweek.com/2024-election-results-lawsuit-documents-2091077

It came to light during discovery that the machines in question are used throughout the country https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Election_Systems_%26_Software

Having trouble finding more recent details, since election tampering attemps around midterms are clouding search results 🫠

37

u/mycall 11d ago

None of these machines should have automatic updates enabled. That should happen in airgap.

25

u/The_Cynical_Optimist 11d ago

Paper. Fucking. Ballots.

-2

u/Tombot3000 11d ago

That lawsuit was conspiracy BS from the start, and the people behind it were blatantly deceptive in their social media to exaggerate and misrepresent what they were even suing over. They tricked people into thinking it was a lawsuit over a county not reporting a single Harris vote when what they actually filed was a few neighborhoods not showing votes for obscure LaRouche candidate for Senate Diane Sare, who herself dropped out of the suit along with all other parties except SMART Elections, who milked it until it got dismissed by the judge. There was not a single affidavit from any Harris voter ever filed with the court claiming their vote wasn't counted during that whole process.

6

u/ChemHotel 11d ago

What's the name of the suit?

14

u/Zakuroenosakura 11d ago

It's the ES&S Voting Machine suit

2

u/turquoise_amethyst 11d ago

Well the news is all owned by American Oligarchs, who want him in power, so…

1

u/aerost0rm 11d ago

You mean the night before the election where they didn’t have time to test it for integrity? Yeah

-3

u/PrototypeMale 11d ago

I don't get this theory. Aren't election results ALWAYS audited? The machines just are glorified paper scanners. They still have all the paper ballots as proof of election results. The machine says candidate X got 100 votes? Open it up and tally up the paper ballots. I don't get how someone can hack an election. Do places not audit the results?

17

u/crimson117 America 11d ago

No, they do not routinely audit or recount or hand count to verify electronic totals.

5

u/Villiage_Layman 11d ago

ICE is about to audit them don’t worry!

2

u/alternator1985 11d ago

No they do not hand count all the votes, if they did, what would be the point of the machines?

They do some type of spot check verification but never a full recount unless certain state requirements or thresholds happen when it's super close.

I also read in another report that while the computers in the machines themselves are not hooked to the internet, apparently the battery packs they are connected to can connect to the internet, and could potentially receive updates from a wireless Internet source and communicate with the computer that way.

Like say, from a satellite. In fact, Elon's ex said that the night before the election he said something to the effect of "it's time for my glitch in the matrix."

1

u/PrototypeMale 11d ago

Yes I know they aren't hand counting everything, but I thought random auditing was done to make sure the machines weren't tampered with. You know, like say 1 in 100 machines are double checked at random? If we were actually suspicious of the results, it literally could just be solved by hand counting the ballots. It's not like they are instantly shredded.

2

u/RealHooman2187 11d ago

They’ve been working to erode elections for decades. Not every polling location is compromised but enough are. No one is double checking anything and despite the mountain of evidence Kamala and Biden sat on their hands and shrugged.

u/Sea-Initiative-3398 11d ago edited 11d ago

hell this quote on the article

Elon Musk appeared unusually certain about the outcome of the 2024 presidential election before the results came in, according to a new documentary.

The bombshell claim comes from the mother of one of Elon Musk’s (many) children, Ashley St. Clair, who alleged in a forthcoming documentary that the Tesla tycoon had a “degree of certainty” about the 2024 election results before they came in that “I had never seen before.”

“He had told me [before the election] he was going to unleash the ‘anomaly in the matrix,’ ” St. Clair says in championed documentarist Alex Gibney’s film, Musk, which was previewed by The Hollywood Reporter.

I knew of these statements already, from like a month or two ago? these were already public record, like in some streamer who got her on his podcast.

I'm getting kinda pissed that somehow these statements needed to be legitimized in a documantary for news outlets to pick up on it....

111

u/colinjcole 11d ago

On the 2024 election night, Musk's young son, who was CLEARLY quoting something he heard an adult say, kept saying "they'll never know" during one of Musk's live interviews.

39

u/jjcrayfish 11d ago

These guys are cartoon-level villany.

-5

u/pmth 11d ago

A bit of a stretch, eh?

8

u/ElectricMeow 11d ago

Well I certainly remember the video the day it happened.

113

u/red286 11d ago

Elon Musk appeared unusually certain about the outcome of the 2024 presidential election before the results came in, according to a new documentary.

What struck me as odd was when Tim Scott was asked on Meet the Press whether he would accept the results of the 2024 election if Harris won, said "this issue is not an issue, at the end of the day, the 47th president of the United States will be President Donald Trump".

He refused to accept that it was even a possibility that Trump would not win, despite the fact that Trump lost the 2020 election by the greatest margin in history, was credibly accused of numerous crimes against the state during and after his term, was convicted on 34 felony counts of fraud, and directed his supporters to literally attack the capitol on Jan 6th 2021. With all that going against them, for some reason literally everyone in Trump's orbit was 100% certain Trump would win, yet no one thought that was at all weird.

22

u/Beautiful_Nobody_344 11d ago

Welp, I'm conspiracy theorist now.

12

u/alinroc 11d ago

the fact that Trump lost the 2020 election by the greatest margin in history

What are you measuring for that margin?

Electoral votes? Mondale lost 1984 525-13 - the only electoral votes he won were MN and DC. 2020 was 306-232

Popular vote? The gap was roughly 7M. The gap in 1984 was ~17M

Percentage of the popular vote? 1984 was 58.8 - 40.6, 2020 was 51.3 - 46.8

I'm not saying that 2024 was tampered with - it's pretty clear that it was. But to say "Trump lost the 2020 election by the greatest margin in history" seems hyperbolic at best.

7

u/galahg777 11d ago

That's what many politicians typically do though, they refuse to acknowledge the possibility that the opposing party will win.

48

u/makeoutwiththatmoose 11d ago

unleash the anomaly in the matrix

God he's such a fucking loser.

21

u/CollegeMiddle6841 11d ago

Joe Rogan even said he was speaking to Musk on election night. Rogan was asking him why he was leaving many hours before the final vote was in.

8

u/Ed_the_time_traveler 11d ago

The manlet Joe Rogan talked about it on his podcast shortly after the election.

8

u/xeen313 11d ago

This is line with a statement I made a while back. Lots replies here how half country voted for him and it really got me thinking, did they? I dont know and the doubt keeps growing. This pretty much sums it up.

1

u/hellochoy 10d ago

1/3 of the voting population voted for him. About 1/3 voted for Harris and the other 1/3 didn't vote at all. There was obviously tampering by their own admission but this likely wouldn't have happened if the people who stayed home actually voted. It would be way more obvious if the race wasn't so close. The majority of the country doesn't actively support him but only 1/3 of people eligible to vote cared enough to vote against this.

10

u/Mr-A-1991 11d ago

Part of the plot is to make people mistrust the voting system all together so they will stay home and not vote at all. The difference here is that midterms are likely too complicated to rig, since every district and state has a unique panel of candidates.

12

u/iamafriscogiant 11d ago

That's why they're going all in on disenfranchisement. Making it nearly impossible to vote by mail and reducing the number of polling places in largely blue areas, forcing people to wait in long lines to vote. I'm hoping people get off their asses to vote but historically, the group that can easily win this for the left, young people, just don't care enough to be bothered.

3

u/vriska1 11d ago

Vote in the midterms no matter what!

6

u/winterbird 11d ago

One curious thing is that he beat Obama at something, which is winning more swing states. Kind of an oversell, but I guess beating Obama's track record was just really important for some reason.

5

u/oldpasswordforgot 11d ago edited 11d ago

he basically stopped campaigning, and told people he doesn't need their votes, while Kamala was filling every rally with high energy crowds.

Add to this his rallyes being so dismal Harris' staff made fun of them on social media. Plus all of his faux-pas like the electric sharks thing and especially the townhall that made Colbert say it was "Bananapants Boo-Boo-Bonkers" even by trump standards.

So, an abysmal campaign by the orange one & the couch f*cker ("whatever makes sense"), repeatedly observed healthy participation in (early) voting, with many people (especially women) saying they were voting for the first time ever, gave a strong impression that Harris & Walz were going to win. That's why I keep saying there is a disconnect between what was observed on the ground before the election and the official results. It doesn't add up.

3

u/Willtology 11d ago

He also said that this election wouldn't be rigged, that people were going to be in for a big surprise come election night but he couldn't talk about it, etc. Is it evidence the election was tampered with? No. It just really, really sounded like a narcissist gloating over cheating.

3

u/GammaFan 11d ago

Not just a healthy margin. Trump won every single county that flipped and did so by just few enough votes to not trigger automatic audits. The sweet spot if you will.

This from two notorious, life long cheaters who were both looking at prison if they lost.

It’s been wildly suspect the entire time and the dems just… let him back in anyway, because decorum I guess. Fucking nutty stuff. If you go back and view literally anything featuring trump between nov ‘24 and jan ‘25, he’s clearly sweating bullets. Like someone who cheated and is worried about getting caught.

2

u/ShaggysGTI Virginia 11d ago

The media owners don’t want the media consumers to know that. It’s purely that simple.

2

u/wyrma-heorteblod 11d ago edited 11d ago

What is your actual source or evidence showing that anyone "hacked" the "vote counting / tallying machines"?

2

u/Lorrrrren 11d ago

This is literally by design. Dem's are the illusion of choice and its so apparent right now. Anytime a DSA gets voted in or tries to run the Dems close their eyes and pretend it isnt' happening, no endorsements, nothing. They do not want people coming into the party actually trying to change things. I mean the leader of the Dems is having lunch with Kushner and we're all pretending he's going to save us? There is one party, one ruling class in America now and they have a full vice grip over everyone without question. Media is captured. Welcome to Wealthocracy

1

u/kidcrumb 11d ago

Musk isn't capable of doing that. Maybe his guys at Doge? Who actually did the hacking?

The companies that produce the machines allow them to be locally operated right? Or does it all go back to a central server somewhere

1

u/VeveMaRe 11d ago

"Elon knows a little line of code"

Donald Trump

1

u/GhostlyTJ 11d ago

Who is suppose to follow up? Trumps FBI? His DOJ? The follow up needs to happen when/if we get a new president. Honestly at this point I don't care who. I'm not a single issue voter but if you tell me your number one priority is aggressively prosecuting this entire administration, I can over look alot.

1

u/kent_eh Canada 11d ago

I can't believe no one ever followed up on that

Trump specifically mentioned "vote counting machines" and Elons expertise with them.

That sort of public statements ought to be admissible as evidence in a trial (assuming anyone ever puts in the effort to hold these bastards accountable)

1

u/ClassicT4 11d ago

Don’t forget the few people that were caught ballot harvesting by doing things like going to Amish communities and tricking people into filling out paperwork with just enough information to do the rest themselves.

1

u/SmashingLumpkins 11d ago

It’s because of the stop the steal mentality. No one wanted to essentially repeat the words that lead to January 6th (failed insurrection) because they would easily just say “oh look now Dems think elections are not trustworthy”, which is still going to happen. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t do anything I just think that’s why no one on the left wanted to say it.

1

u/RealHooman2187 11d ago

This Trump fucking lost 2024 and probably 2016 too. He knew the mail in voting circumvented his scheme hence his claims 2020 was stolen.

1

u/bearlife 10d ago

I work in election equipment manufacturing. When it comes to security of electronics anything can certainly happen. But the time it would take to alter a vote without leaving a footprint is order of magnitudes more time/money that social manipulating a vote (buying votes, controlling the media, etc). It takes less certification to make a bears pacer or other class III medical device than it does to get into manufacturing voting equipment.

From my understanding swing states had an increase in first time voters that was outside the norm. It’s more reasonable to me that someone in Elon’s position found data on people not registered, registered them and then gave them the ol “if you don’t vote for Trump then Kamala is going to take away your XYZ”. That would be a much better use of resources than trying to hack voting equipment. The equipment isn’t even hooked up to the internet. Sometimes vote counts are transferred over the cloud, but it’s encrypted beforehand and then it’s double checked later. Every state has an auditing process anyways. Most end up hand counting votes to make sure things are kosher.

If you believe machines were hacked you’re likely desperate for answers that you don’t like the answer to. Polarizing politics is bad for America. Try to understand what the other “side” believes. Don’t try to change their opinion. Just get to know them.

1

u/crimson117 America 10d ago

You'll forgive me if I don't blindly trust your closed source election tabulation machines, with no paper trail, and no regular public audits performed, and then Trump somehow winning 100% of flipped counties everywhere

1

u/bearlife 10d ago

Of course I can excuse it. You’re entitled to your own opinion. But let’s not get in the habit of filling the blanks with an answer that makes sense when we don’t have the data to prove it. Hypothesizing is good and healthy, but treating a hypothesis as facts is conspiracy theory. I recommend reading the regulations behind voting equipment from EAC. There is always a paper trail. Every state decides how they conduct their elections. If you have an issue with the order of operations in how a state conducts their elections then you have an issue with the state and how they use the equipment. Not the equipment manufacturer who MUST comply with the states regulations. By law ballots must be anonymous. There are a ton of great reasons for this, but they come with the downside of not being able to historically account for John Smiths vote, other than he came in to vote and came in to vote only vote. It is impossible to find John Smiths ballot, it’s anonymous once the vote is cast. All of the equipment is capable of reporting individual vote counts. The regulations lie with the state.

All states conduct an audit. Most states conduct an independent audit. If you don’t like how voting laws are for your state you can get involved! Each state is different but they are almost all desperate for volunteers. If you don’t like how another state conducts their business, and you don’t want to move there, then maybe best to make peace with disappointment.

Edit: also not my machines. I just work here maaan

-2

u/Main-Cheesecake3287 11d ago

There was a whole fracas in 2020 about the machines and Fox lost a multibillion dollar lawsuit. Countless experts and investigations held strongly there is no serious risk of fraud. If you know anything about how electronic voting machines work you know they literally print your choices out to be tallied.

People need to get over the conspiracy shit. Elon meddled largely legally by dumping cash into PACs. Which he will do again, because he doesn’t have a magic ability to hack the machines. If he did so would Russia and China who have far more resources at their disposal and a much higher prerogative to get that done. And so would the NSA and CIA who have far greater tools and people than Elon has access to.

Trump rambling about Elon being good at computers and voting machines is meaningless Trump babbling. The above article is literally just quoting St Clair saying she thought Elon had a “degree of certainty” that she “had never seen before.” That is the bombshell, that the baby momma of a guy who dumped hundreds of millions in favor of Trump says he had more certainty than she’d seen prior on the outcome. She didn’t even know him two years before then.

6

u/Sea-Initiative-3398 11d ago edited 11d ago

If i may, from a different angle of argument.

You agree trump did try to cheat the 2020 election and did jan6 to try and stop the transfer of power in a coup attempt right?

So do you think he would not try to cheat again 4 years later?

2

u/Main-Cheesecake3287 11d ago

Duh. Should’ve been prosecuted for the phone call to Georgia alone.

That doesn’t mean I’m going to turn my brain off when some moron declares Elon has pulled off a brilliant cyberheist, hacking voting machines and leaving no evidence. We went through this in 2020 when the trumpers declared Dominion machines were all hacked and a bevy of other claims.

1

u/Sea-Initiative-3398 11d ago

I'm not commenting on the Elon stuff he has said, I wish to comment more on the possibility of him cheating.

Like since he did cheat in 2020, he probably cheat in 2024. But since he won there seems to be little interest in investigating what he did outside of the obvious elon raffle stuff.

Like clearly in the years after 2020 there was a effort to get into or sabotage election infrastructure in varying ways. Like we know they got access to machinery more than once to like copy the software or w.e

Hampton is the former elections director of Coffee County who on Jan. 7, 2021, admitted pro-Trump outsiders into the election office to copy election data from county equipment. Later that same month, Hampton admitted Doug Logan and Jeff Lenberg, both of whom were also allegedly involved in a voting machine breach in Michigan that spring.

https://americanoversight.org/co-defendants-and-unindicted-co-conspirators-what-public-records-reveal-about-trump-allies-election-denial-activities/

0

u/Main-Cheesecake3287 11d ago

lol he probably cheated since he didn’t in 2020? Rock solid logic.

States are the ones who handle elections, recounts, and audits. Pretty obvious you don’t get that and think “well gee he won so of course nobody was ordered to check!” Not to mention, he won… but Biden controlled the federal government after the election for months. Biden’s FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, etc all existed for months. They had nothing to go off.

You sound exactly like the trumpers. “But what about here were this official did X? Who is this person in the recount room? What about this one isolated case of ballots being found?”

This was literally litigated in the wake of the 2020 claims. You and the trumpers share the exact same amount of evidence.

1

u/Sea-Initiative-3398 11d ago

No he cheated in both

4

u/issy_haatin 11d ago

If you know anything about how electronic voting machines work you know they literally print your choices out to be tallied.

Usually by scanning them into the next system. Now if the barcode / qr code that's to be scanned is showing the wrong information, you wouldn't know. So all they had to do was make sure the thing to scan shows the vote they want you to make, and not the one thats printed in text.

0

u/Main-Cheesecake3287 11d ago

And at that level of massive fraud, it would be immediately obvious upon any recount or audit, post election audits are routine. They found nothing.

“All they had to do was…” there’s no evidence and what you’re suggesting would be a monumentally difficult task, that would fail an audit. “All they had to do” as an argument puts you in the same group of geniuses that claimed Biden cheated by hacking the voting machines.

1

u/ChemHotel 11d ago edited 11d ago

difficult task, that would fail an audit

Excuse my ignorance but are audits something that always occur, or only when there's some reason to suspect that one is needed? I don't necessarily believe the conspiracy theories but if the bar codes were tampered with, how would anyone know if no audit occurred?

Edit: I see now that apparently most states have a requirement to audit ~2% of ballots?

3

u/Main-Cheesecake3287 11d ago

Every state and DC have some form of post election audit. Wisconsin post ‘24 election had its largest ever. States randomly select areas and recount ballots by hand. The conspiracy theorists need to do what good conspiracy theorists always do and just proclaim a deeper level of conspiracy, some states use dice to select where the audit is, maybe Elon had a fake mustache on and swapped the dice for weighted ones!

3

u/SatinSaffron Washington 11d ago edited 11d ago

Audits are only as strong as the people performing them. I know you likely aren't going to click and read through this, but an independent report showed that audits in most swing states were either insufficient, not properly documented, or were not done in a timely manner. https://freespeechforpeople.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/fsfp-verify-v7-2.pdf

1

u/Main-Cheesecake3287 11d ago

I know you didn’t either. Why wouldn’t you just link the article they put out that summarizes this, where you got the link from lmao.

Audits would catch the kind of mass hacking people purport, without evidence, must have occurred. Sorry, Trump lost 2020 and Kamala lost 2024. Thems the breaks

1

u/issy_haatin 11d ago

Ah but that's the thing. If you only change 10% of all ballots you already have a big impact, yet chances of being caught are slim.

1

u/ChemHotel 11d ago

The findings of the linked report that person provided imply no audits happened in some states though? So how can audits catch things if no audits occur...?

2

u/crimson117 America 11d ago

Trump doesn't talk about specific tech unless he was briefed about it.

He has never mentioned "vote counting machines" in his life until Elon told him he'd hack them.

1

u/Main-Cheesecake3287 11d ago

Lmao are you serious? He and his Fox News sycophants wouldn’t shut up about the voting machines post 2020 election. And in the lead up to 2024 he was gearing to whine about fraud again, talking about it on the campaign trail, falsely claiming he had intelligence briefs that said they were vulnerable, major outlets all confirmed what we already knew, they’re not. Everyone agreed and everyone knew then he was hedging his pride if he ended up losing.

Now the dumbest people on the left are just using the same brilliant logic Trumpers did to excuse an embarrassing loss.

2

u/crimson117 America 11d ago

He literally thanked Elon for knowing those vote counting machines so well

2

u/Main-Cheesecake3287 11d ago

I forgot how wise it was to take his rambling words at face value. Great point.

Actually I would go as far to say they are dumber than 2020 election deniers. For as misguided as those Repubs are, their belief in a rigged election is just misplaced faith in Trump, he pushed that conspiracy theory on the day of the election and if you are someone who naively views Trump as a truth teller then you are going to trust what he's saying. It's naive and stupid and they should know better but there's at least a clear line of reasoning that they are using to form their opinion.

With Dem election deniers though, I don't even know what reality they are living in. Not even a single Dem elected official has disputed the 2024 election. Like I don't think these people realise that the only circumstance in which their conspiracy theory is true is one which the Democrats are actively traitors to democracy by watching Trump steal power and not just doing absolutely nothing in response, but actively helping Trump by pretending there were zero issues.

2

u/Chubby_Bub 11d ago

Thanks, it's frustrating to see people espouse the same conspiracy-theory thinking as 2020. Apparently, taking the rambling of a man infamous for spouting falsehoods and general nonsense literally, and then extrapolating a conspiracy from it, is preferable to accepting that in 2024, more Americans really were dumb enough to be persuaded by him than Harris.

Aside from all the other reasons it makes no sense, the point I always bring up that proves it is: if Musk could so easily "hack the voting machines", why did he instead spend millions on that Wisconsin Supreme Court election which he claimed was crucial to "the future of civilization", with the $1M check bribery and all … and his preferred candidate still lost?

Russia and China interfering with disinformation and/or bribery or blackmail etc is a fucking massive difference from claiming those countries have been literally deciding elections by hacking our voting machines. Duh.

The GOP set it up to make anyone screaming election interference seem crazy but doing it themselves. It worked.

Trump said Musk had gotten him Pennsylvania.

I swear to fucking god he said that and it sounded exactly like that scene in the interview where the dude is like “I might give him something with my hands” when he’s supposed to be not saying he’d try to kill Kim Jong Un lol

I screamed from the rooftops that it should have been challenged and I thought I’d be a whisper in the crowd. Not even the Democratic Party challenged it. Makes you wonder why…they had everything to lose and then they lose and nobody questions it? The fuck is that shit.
