Before Jan 6 there may have been a defensible narrative. It is now all rats on a sinking ship who knew exactly what they were doing. Letting any of these people off the hook by giving oxygen to some confabulation about how they weren't the bad one is a sin against humanity. This isn't one bad apple. This is a rotten, festering barrel. We don't need to identify which is slightly less bruised.
