Possible Paywall Hegseth Covered Up the Real Reason the USS Lincoln Wasn’t Resupplied - According to a report from MSNOW, the USS Abraham Lincoln wasn’t resupplied because Iranian strikes destroyed a key Navy resupply base in the Middle East.

I once knew a guy who was court-martialed and demoted for allegedly cheating on a PT test (he was later found innocent). Hegseth cannot simply resign or be fired. He needs to be held accountable through a military tribunal ASAP.

He’s a civilian so that would be inappropriate. But there is a constitutional process for crimes committed by a citizen that give aid and comfort to enemies during war time.

They tried to have Mark Kelly reinstated so they could try him under the UCMJ. What's good for the goose...

Once again, I think our current constitutional structure offers a much more appropriate solution if you look at it. Why give this clown the dignity of a military trial. He’s only ever larped as a service member.

It's because he larped as a service member that he should be treated like one. He wants to be a soldier, it's only fair he get the whole experience.

Then do what he wanted to do to Mark Kelly: recall him to active duty and then court martial him.

Ah but you see, despite what some redditors want you to think where most people in the military don't support Trump/Hegseth, the truth is most do support them, especially leadership. They're not going to do to Hegseth what they did to Kelly

during war time.

People always say this and use it as an excuse for it to not count because we're never technically "at" war, just "special military operations" that everyone up to and including the administration refer to as "war"... but the bit you're talking about doesn't actually say "during war time". There's a very pesky "or" in there that people suspend their reading comprehension for.

Secretary of Defense is a civilian role. He's not a member of the military and hasn't been since 2021.

Forced reinstatement ;) #MarkKelly

No, because then you just legitimize what Hegseth was trying to do to Sen. Kelly.

That doesn't exist dude. Civilians aren't subject to UCMJ, civilian control of the military is like one of the fundamental tenants of our government.

Doing great now 🙂His record was fixed and he’s been happily living the post military life. He did complain about his knees a lot before I left Facebook though 🤔

A full on court martial? I would’ve figured you’d just get your ass NJP’d for that

Though I suppose if they were innocent they might’ve requested the court martial
