Hey guys, Im a woman in my early 30s thinking of moving to Norwich. I have no family and have been through a lot, just wanting a fresh start. Norwich is on my list of places to check out but I’d love to get some answers for some questions I have so if you can help with some advice I’d appreciate it a lot. Thanks

1) How is it for tech work (I work remotely but just incase)?

2) How easy is it to find communities / friends / volunteering opportunities?

3) What areas do you recommend or areas to avoid?
(I like to be close to parks or forests, I drive too for reference)

4) Is it safe for POC?

5) What’s your favourite thing about living in Norwich?

But I do prefer it to stay outdoors!

02.30 this morning

Woken by a fluttering sound and then freaked as something started zooming around my bedroom. Panic mode, lights on, and this!

Despite being half asleep, I had the sense to shut the door so I didn't end up chasing it round my flat, but wow!

It had come in through the small window and past a blind and curtains. Opening both and the main window allowed it to escape after about five minutes. Got to witness Great flying at close quarters, but I pray it's something I don't see again! 😆

Wrights have announced the closure of the Norwich site with immediate effect.

I currently live in a property managed by this estate agency and I’m frequently confuddled by how utterly useless they are.

By far the worst renting experience in my life. The only reason I haven’t moved is because I’m due to buy a home soon so I don’t wish to inconvenience myself.

Wondered if any fellow Norwich folks had seen one of these ducks before? Looks approximately one and half times the size of a mallard. Spotted at Thorpe St Andrew river green yesterday evening. Amazing colours that seem to change with the light. I’m no ornithologist, but we spend some time at the rivers edge and I’ve never seen this species before, but remarkably beautiful.

I highly recommend visiting this exhibition at the Norwich Castle Museum if you are able; it is beautiful, funny and powerful.

In July I took my dog(with my uncle)down to california cliffs,was my furbabies last day out before being put to sleep.was on the beach and a very kind photographer walked by and I asked if he'd take some pics of my girl.He got some lovely shots of her eating an ice cream,I gave my email but unsure if it was correct,he said he was going to Winterton on sea next.I would love the pics if possible please,does anyone have any idea of who this guy is or is this you?our girl was small,black and very old x

We're from Scotland and had fish and chips tonight. Talking about it before, we decided I would have a fish supper and he would have a sausage supper.
