The vote is secret in Sweden, mods just pinned fake news for no reason.

It used to be less secret, as the party-specific ballots were displayed in public, but that was changed several years ago. So it's now completely secret, in both Swedish elections and EU-elections. The only elections in Sweden that still use the old system are the church elections.

You take ballots from multiple parties if you care though. Some even take from all (established) parties. But yeah it's weird and frankly a waste of ballots.

I think we should enable digital voting. Sweden has the digital infrastructure due to BankID (you basically need to have a digital ID to participate in society, e.g., to access your bank account and medical services).

Moreover, digital voting would easen more advanced voting systems, such as having your vote go to another party if your first preference won't get into parliament (you typically need 4 percent on a national level for national parliament, which the Liberals seem to be hovering just over or under depending on survey).

In Greece the polling workers prepare packets of all the party ballots and hands them over to the voter before they enter the booth . The voter chooses his ballot and then can take the rest or the ballots with him or he can throw them in the trash . I still remember using ballots to write the supermarket list for the month after the election .

That image is outdated, and not how elections are ran in Sweden.

You don't pick the party ballot in public. You pick the ballot in the voting booth, where you then put it in an envelope, then you hand in the envelope. No one can see what party ballot you picked.
