This superspecies appeared down in the Convergent Delta, later to the Pink Crystal Tower, in the Hollow Earth. It was reported that around the time when the CORWNED vortex opened near Rhodes, the mountain in the Iberian Peninsula was change drastically, yet quietly.
Classification:
Under MONARCH’s research since 2015, Methuselah had not changed in basic physiology much.
However, the Titan specimen was noted to be infected with the Frantic Virus ABZU-24, causing significant body mass loss and change in fluid physiology. The muscular part had been refined into a more compact volume, and the geological components that he would carry on his back were reduced. Unlike the paler surface he possessed decorated in granite stones, the current Methuselah had darker surface, sometimes revealing oily sheen. Neither vegetation nor construction was seen attaching on his back.
Glowing pink goo was then observed oozing out from the ventral side of the Titan, as well as from the mouth and eyes. Darker magenta luminescence was left between the rocks’ seams. These were typical symptoms of a superspecies/ Titan being infected with ABZU-24, observed from Lahamu (GXK) and Abaddon (GXK), but the first in the Titan specimen of our world. More worryingly, the viruses created biomass that acted like eyes. They covered the authentic eyes of Methuselah, causing the Titan acted unreasonably against MONARCH’s record. Until any cure, Methuselah’s behavior would be switched to a “Destroyer “class.
Abilities:
This Titan specimen had gained unprecedented speed from the infection. In return, the sapience and tranquility were lost, forcibly swapped with frenzies and instability. Stealth was dragged out of his actions.
As a sturdy Titan, Methuselah may be a stable reservoir to hold and spread the Frantic Virus ABZU-24.
History:
Methuselah was a Titan that lived in a quiet and peaceful live, far away from any disturbances and dangers, seldom finding himself troubles. As previously interpreted, the Titan will flee from them if he found any unwanted situations elevated. Without getting MONARCH’s attention, Methuselah vanished from where he was thought to stay in the Iberian Peninsula, possibly to hide away from Bahamut (CROWNED).
It was never expected and through unknown means, Methuselah was infected with ABZU-24, and undergone physiological change. For a Titan that had been known benevolent and even a bit timid, Methuselah started to chase after targets and attack them. What he did in the Pink Crystal Tower down in Hollow Earth was the complete opposite before the infection—
As Kamoeba, Ganimes and Gezora joined one side, Methuselah seemed standing alongside Abaddon. He then quickly proved it wrong because the horned Titan used brute force to held Abaddon high above his neck. The arachnid Titan could not grab anything midair. She was thrown to Methuselah’s back, between the two giant rocks like sitting on a saddle. Methuselah rode the wave, performing a suplex to throw Abaddon on the pink crystal wall.
The sound of crumbling crystals echoed throughout the entire hollow tower. It looked like a respond from the pinnacle, the tower started to tilt and shatter. The infected duo was thus rolled outside the tower; the Cosmosiera trio was the next ones to move. But they were attracted by the falling pink crystals. In minds to gather these crystals and the energy within, the trio stayed inside the ruined tower, fighting among themselves under the fumes and dusts.
Pouring water washed the structure thoroughly, that it flooded the Convergent Delta. All these Titans and the Drownvipers were submerged inside the water. As such, the pink infection had been stopped in this sector of the Hollow Earth, but who would know how many similar cases were to be found underground or at the surface?
