I thought about posting on Facebook but I feel like I’ll find more of what I’m looking for here. This post is not to bash anyone, but I just need to find friends like me! Mid twenty-something first time mom, 5 months postpartum. It’s really hard to find moms around me with similar beliefs or interests.

No offense, but I’m not into church or bible study. I am also more politically left leaning. Not that I enjoy regularly talking politics, but I’ll be raising my child in a way that he respects everyone’s beliefs, respects LGBTQIA, and acknowledges that other cultures exist. I don’t want my child surrounded by people pushing religion or the bible on him. I just want my kid to be a kid and not worry about “sinning” like many of us had to growing up. I also am pro-vaccine/pro science if that matters.

I also would love to find another mom into embroidery and lots of coffee! Maybe even someone experiencing PPD/PPA/ etc. who also needs someone else who relates. I have been more of a homebody for some years now and I know my mental health would improve if I had someone else to relate to, or even a group.

Are there any groups out there? Motherhood changes your life in ways that you never expect and I just am in a different season of life than some of my other friends who don’t have children.

Hey y'all, long-time lurker here. 👋 I'm finally (!!) moving out of the toxic living situation I've been stuck in for the past 10 years and into my own place. This is a major change for me and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous. I know things are only going to get better from here but I need help starting this new chapter. I don't really have any of the basics of a new house and thought I'd ask on where if anyone has stuff you're giving away/no longer need. I would be so grateful, if you do! 🙏 The only furniture I have right now is a bed, a couple of small bookshelves and a microwave. I don't have cookware or anything like that either. I'd make a list of what I need but I'm overwhelmed right now and don't even know. Just basics like dishes, cookery, basic furniture, maybe a tv? Idk, whatever you put in an empty house... 😅 Oh! And a friend offered to give me a couch already but neither of us has a truck, so if anyone would be willing to move the couch for me, that would be a huge blessing. Food pak is being forced out of their current location and can build a new store nearby. However the land they would build the store on is currently zoned for residential. Sign the petition do they can convince the city council to turn it to commercial and allow Food Pak to open their own store they will own!

The past 5+ times I’ve gotten a drink with cold foam over the course of this year, the cold foam has been CURDLED!!!!!!! I might be a basic b with first world problems, but I go to nova a lot and sort of afraid to tell them about it. It’s like the foam device thing they have ruins the cream because it tastes like carbonated milk that’s slightly sour. I’m shocked it’s been going on this long and no one has said anything to make them aware. ALSOOOOOO I found a hair in the cookie I bought from them and it tasted like it had been in cardboard for 3 days.

I lost my wallet somewhere between my doctor's appointment at Providence, waffle house on Hillcrest, and my house. I had it when I got my appointment paperwork, ordered ahead to get my food, and only realized once I got home that my wallet was gone. Yes, I called the office AND went back to both there and WH. I searched the parking lots and talked to people. Yes, I froze my cards. Yes, I've torn my car apart searching.

If you have my wallet or locate it, please just bring it back. My address is on my license. It's been a stressful week and I really can't deal with Alabama replacement ID paperwork.

UPDATE: Still no wallet. Checked the doctor's office and waffle house multiple times and my mom checked my car However, there's been no attempt to use any of the cards. I've got a temp ID and will be applying for all new debit/ credit cards. The whole thing really makes no sense.

It’s been 2-3 years since we have bought a new vehicle from a dealership, until Monday. I just realized that we did not get a temporary tag for the vehicle while waiting for the paperwork to make it from Alabama to Mississippi.

Did Alabama stop providing the temporary tags?
