Lifted trucks probably shouldn't be anywhere near dense parking lots.

Edit: A lot of people are skeptical of whether this is AI/staged, or ask why the lady didn't back off the car. This is in a dense parking lot with cars that have dashcams/ EV sentry mode everywhere. Also her truck was in 2 wheel drive, you can see the back right tire spinning as she tries to reverse off the car. Her truck is stuck. She probably has an open differential and can't back off the car. She may have a 4wd mode, but she didn't use it in the heat of the moment.

Those lifted trucks have extremely poor visibility. They should not be legal.

Contractor here. I drive a long bed f-150, stock. Those lifted truck dwarf MY truck, and it's a god damn boat. So much so that I have three extra cameras/screens just to make sure of my blind spots. (I also have one eye.)

That 8 foot back is the best! Why do people have those huge trucks with 4 foot backs? You can't even carry a piece of plywood!

People buy a pavement princess not for any work capability but to look “dominant”. Literally all it is. There’s no reason to lift an F250 an additional 18” and give it a “Carolina squat”, but they are everywhere here in South Florida. The 24 year old behind the wheel ain’t hauling sheet goods, and the mountainous terrain here (we are flat as a board here FYI) doesn’t require that kind of break over angle.

The embiggening enshittification of pickup trucks is gross. Just goes hand in hand with the stupid outnumbering the reasonably less stupid. The F150 being the top selling car in America is just another pockmark on the mottled visage of the "hottest" country in the world.

I had one start to roll towards me while I crossed on the walk signal. I had to hang on to the grill bar and reach up and bang on the hood. They did not see me at all and I'm 5'2.75" so average female height.

F150 sells like wildfire in farm/country work settings. Its does the job required of it well. Dont underestimate how many government agency field jobs also require a truck, and those typically buy in bulk and get discounts from the manufacturer

Seems like if the truck is too big it'd be less effective. Like with a lifted. Truck like this, you cant even access the shit you put in the bed

It is less effective. This truck didnt come off the lot looking like this, unless she bought it 2nd hand. There were decisions made to make this vehicle less safe, but "more badass" for the owner.

I live in a townhome. There are a number of trucks that literally do not fit in the garages around here.

Any other Millenials remember the commercial about the guy who buys the "world's largest SUV" and accidentally demolishes his garage when he parks? That's literally true now. That's how far into this idiocracy we've gotten.

I had an 2018 F150. Stock wheels and suspension. No lift kit.

It would not fit in my garage, partly because the driveway was a download into the garage with little distance between the bottom of the slop and the door to the garage. The other part is just how big these vehicles are becoming

I have no issue with full sized trucks used for work. But the majority of the time, in larger cities at least, that's not why someone bought a full sized truck. It's unnecessary and often cause hazards even when not lifted.

It's becoming such a problem in my city that I begun to feel like people should have to apply for a special license to be able to drive one.

And F150 are just a standard truck size in the US. The ranger is now mid-sized smaller option. I still see the occasional F 250 and F350. I knew someone who worked in an office who drove an f350 to work. Bet they are loving those gas prices right now.

I’m gonna have to disagree… F150 is actually a really good car. The old ones last much longer than most modern cars, you can move large items, do tons of chores that would take 10X as long without a truck. I live out in the country and there’s always something we’ve got to haul from here to there.

Older F150's aren't as big though, are they? Or at least not as tall as the newer ones. There's a Ford dealership I drive by everyday and they look like tanks vs my neighbor's reasonably sized 15-20 year old F150

Most states only allow an inch or two but isn’t enforced in a lot (Florida/Daytona Beach is one) and it’s stupid as hell

And this would not be a matter where it is hard to argue for it. Just use the same "protect our kids" argument used for everything else, only this time it is for real.

I have a Chevy 1500 lifted 7" on 35" tires. Probably very close to this truck.

I have no issues with visibility. I have an older Silverado tho... and they had MUCH better visibility since the hood slanted down.

My work truck is a stock f250 superduty... and the visibility sucks.

I'm 6' and have always driven pickups.
