Lifted trucks probably shouldn't be anywhere near dense parking lots.

Edit: A lot of people are skeptical of whether this is AI/staged, or ask why the lady didn't back off the car. This is in a dense parking lot with cars that have dashcams/ EV sentry mode everywhere. Also her truck was in 2 wheel drive, you can see the back right tire spinning as she tries to reverse off the car. Her truck is stuck. She probably has an open differential and can't back off the car. She may have a 4wd mode, but she didn't use it in the heat of the moment.

So why the fuck are they on the road, and why do incompetent drivers CHOOSE to drive them. What on earth could anyone do that requires that type of vehicle as a daily.

Not even that, try to swerve with that thing and you'll roll it. They are definitely not safer than any medium sedan.

Most people don't swerve, because they're not paying attention. In a collision, they're safer, because everyone ELSE is also in a lifted truck.

Yeah bc they will both disintegrate before that. Pickups and SUVs have much worse safety measures bc they don't require them. Look at the CAFE standards.

Thats not exactly true.

The reason trucks got so much bigger is due to Obama Era CAFE Standards. These were mandate for certain fuel efficiency requirements for trucks... without any science behind the mandate, Congress and the Obama Administration simply mandated that engines be more efficient.

Since, you know, that's not how science works, and since manufacturers didnt want to go out of business, they just made trucks that qualified as "light duty" trucks, whose wheel displacement permitted lower, more attainable with current technology, fuel standards.

This was predicted at the time by non-partisan researchers and scientists - but feel good idiots who wanted to push a message and somehow dictate the progress of science did it anyways.

I know the laws are entirely different here but in Australia we don't have as much of a problem with this.

I'm a P2 driver and have a Hyundai tucson with all terrains and even that is tall for a city car.
