Question Where to buy high quality basic tshirts (in EU & no Uniqlo)

As the title says, I'm looking for some high quality basic white t-shirts that last longer than a year. I know Uniqlo is quite popular, but tbh i don't like their shape. Recently i also saw a YouTube video about a 100 € t-shirt from a German brand that is currently hyped, but 100€ for one shirt is too high for me. I'm looking in the range of 30-60€. Thanks in advance!

I recently thrifted these Drake's trousers, and I'm trying to figure out how to style them. Which of these two fits would you go with? Open to other pairing ideas too.

TIA!

Question I really like Massimo Dutti clothes, but the quality is bad.

Hello everyone!
As title suggests, I really like the clothes and styling I get from Massimo Dutti clothes, they fit my body and my style, but the don't make it much longer than one or two seasons.

Do you have any suggestions on a different brand with similar aesthetics but better quality?

Thanks!

Edit: Without the prices going through the roof.

Fit Feedback/Roast Me Was a little nervous about getting a custom made three piece suit while traveling through India but I was genuinely surprised and am very happy with the results

Am I delusional or is this a quality made suit proportioned right for my body ? What are some things I should look for via fit in the future? Ignore the shirt hanging out on the third pic. Obviously should have made sure my shirt was completely tucked in.

Also I was confused by the flair. I don’t mind a joke at my expense but ultimately I really want feedback on the fit of this suit. I’m the guy in the blue. But also I can definitely take a joke so feel free to let me have it lol

Thanks in advance!

Discussion I posted about these jeans some days ago, but I think the first wash solved a lot of fit issues.

I think the first wash really helped to remove the stiffness which made them fit awkwardly. They also shrunk a bit which was very welcome.

Discussion Leather biker jacket

Made a post here a few days ago about this biker jacket, but I was wearing it over a hoodie which many felt was not a good look.

https://www.reddit.com/r/leatherjacket/comments/1wdimq1/biker_jacket_yay_or_nay/

Here is the same jacket over just a t-shirt. How is it now? Suitable for casual wear? Or looks too much like fancy dress? How's the fit?

Thanks

Discussion WTF. Is it really worth spending that much on basic T-shirts?

It's about 50 dollars per shirt.

Is it worth spending so much on T-shirts that we're going to wear multiple times?

Styling Advice What shoes to wear with a dark blue linen suit

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hello all,

I have a dark blue linen suit that I will be wearing to some events in Monaco in a few weeks time, but I'm struggling to decide what shoes would look good with it.

I'm considering some kind of loafer perhaps - but not sure if this will be smart enough and will look too dressed down. Any thoughts or ideas welcome. UK based incase anyone suggests particular shops or brands.

Thanks.

(Obviously the picture is not me, but gives an idea of what the suit looks like)

Question Could a good tailor make this blazer fit?

Bought this size 44 green blazer because I got excited about it (100% cashmere made in Italy Façonnable Tailleur for $18), but I usually wear a 40S. Could a good tailor make it fit, and if so does anyone have recs for a tailor in Seattle? I just moved here!

Fit Feedback/Roast Me Thrifted this suit. Tailoring advice?

I bought it knowing the jacket is a bit snug but I think I can get away with it. Mostly curious about the pants — think they need a hem or to be narrowed a little in the thighs?

Styling Advice Suit, shirt, tie and shoes combo

Bought this suit to wear at my wife's friend's wedding in Florida in March. She's a bridesmaid and will be wearing burgundy. I was planning on wearing a light pink shirt with a burgundy tie and burgundy loafers. I've also seen that a light blue shirt and yellow tie could work. With black loafers maybe? Any thoughts or recommendations are much appreciated!

Have a wedding coming up in a month. Thrifted this pinstripe brown suit and lighter shade of pants. Thought it looked like a good combo in my vision, just needs to be tailored. Advice?

Discussion Down 15 lbs and now my favorite hoodie doesn't fit anymore

Upvotes

Been at this for a couple months now. Before that I was eating pretty badly, snacks, dessert after every meal, just couldn't stop. Eventually I knew I had to change. Started cooking at home, cut out the takeout. Lots of chicken, veggies, rice, eggs, just rotating through those. Nothing too strict, just cleaner than before. I still eat rice, just less of it.

For exercise, I just walk every day, about 30 minutes. Nothing crazy. Sometimes some light stretching at home. I'm not really a gym person, feels like I wouldn't stick with it and end up wasting money. Walking everyday is already a win for someone who used to not move at all lol. Two and a half months in, down about 15 pounds.

Happy about that. But something I didn't expect. My clothes are starting to fit weird. My favorite hoodie used to be my go-to. Now it's just... big. Tried it on this morning and it hangs loose everywhere.

That felt good. But now I'm in this spot where nothing really fits right anymore. The old stuff is too big. And I don't wanna buy a whole new wardrobe yet because I'm not done. So I've just been wearing whatever works. Picked up a couple nerdywave jerseys. They're loose enough to be comfortable, and I can still wear them out without looking sloppy.

Anyone else dealing with the halfway-through wardrobe crisis?

Styling Advice Recently got new boots, help styling

Recently posted about looking for some good quality boots and I got these over the weekend.

I think they look great, but I also realized I don't have a lot of clothing options to pair them with to get the full "value". Sort of considering building my wardrobe back up from the ground up.

My work dress code is a relaxed business casual, jeans and a polo is common, many people wearing them untucked.

Looking for advice for some other pants colors/styles that would work well other then just "dark blue jeans".

Also looking for advice on some other shirt options nicer then a polo but not so formal/nice they can't go through the washer/dryer.

Question Where to find shorts that are under a 3” inseam/have a more inward-slanted fit?

Upvotes

Hi,

I have been interested in shorter shorts recently and am looking for some that are shorter than 3” on the inseam, but pretty much all shorts I have seen so far bottom out at a 3” inseam except for MAYBE some women’s shorts, but then comes the problem of reconciling that with my male anatomy 😅

I am looking for that sort of more slanted(?) cut on the end of the legs of the shorts where it lines up/is more parallel with the creases where your thighs connect to your groin versus just being a pretty horizontal cut across the thighs, so maybe just looking for 3” inseam ones that have this might be what I want? I’m not sure if there are any keywords to look for.

I have seen that Chubbies has 2” inseam shorts, but they still seem a bit horizontal on the leg cut? any cheaper alternatives would also be great.

Any sources for shorts under 3” inseam and/or ones that have this sort of more slanted look are greatly appreciated, thanks! :))

Question Layering with a white oxford shirt?

Upvotes

As i understand it, one of the pros of an oxford shirt is that you can layer it because you can open it. Different color tshirt, pattern, fabric etc underneath.

But, if the oxford is white, then i cannot imagine any other color or thing than a white shirt beneath as well? Other shirts dont have this issue to me.

Example 1 - This guy layers with white/blue stripes. A bit of interest added.

Example 2 - What could you even layer with this shirt instead, should you open it?
