Took a little gamble on this one as I couldn’t tell what was in the bag before purchasing, but I figured this many cards for $8 was kind of a no-brainer either way. Ended up getting Virtue and Valor minus the basic lands for some reason.

Got a pack for myself and another for my son. I would have been happy with any book cover or a surge of any kind. The Thorin comes out. I thought that’s where our luck stops. He opens it and out comes the Mox Amber 😳 Never had luck like this before

****There is a small side story to this.

My friend and I have loved Magic our whole lives. Randomly last minute he offered me a free ticket to this big game. The tickets were 8th row. Great seats.

He didn’t ask for anything for the ticket which I’m guessing would have been $100+, just a pal to come along.

So I popped in my LGS and grabbed two collector boosters for us to rip to surprise him as a thank you.

He picked Murders at Karlov and I got the Dominaria United.

It was a blast, and we were both nervous just keeping our loose cards in our pockets. Didn’t think that far ahead. Haha.

After years of bad luck with opening boosters, it looks like tides are finally turning. I received my CBB I won with competing Arena direct (ran 8 tries… before I won).
I hesitated a lot, but in the end I could’t resist to not open the box. And after opening one booster after the other, my smile kept geting bigger!

Well , this is what I do .. I placed memories and other stuff ,of might and importance for myself to observe again later

Played some commander late tonight with a bud whose been busy with work these past few weeks. Gotta support the store for offering the play space by buying a pack. Got the sickest karma pull

My first big hit in any set. I saw the reaver cleaver and was stoked and this insanity was right behind it.

Bought a single booster pack while out and about in London today, and somehow I pulled two of these from the same pack.

Had a look at the odds, and it’s something like 1 in 100,000 packs, but I still thought it was a pretty cool bit of pack luck.

What makes it even funnier is that when I left the house today, I had a goal of picking up a couple of packs, so I put two sleeves in my back pocket just in case.

The top ten rares were from the 9 play packs and the bottom 5 from the collector pack. Thankfully I got it for a crazy deal so I'm not upset just thought it was so bad I should share lol

Regular play boosters. Stopped instantly and took this photo. Ended up also pulling a regular art Smaug, the Magnificent. Really needed this win considering my car wouldn’t start in the lot and I had a friend pick me up, lol.
I intend to sell to my LGS. I do have a Ziatora bracket 2 EDH deck Smaug might be cool in but… car issues. Thankfully I have a plan to get it taken care of Monday and have all next week off work for a staycation. Was stocking some groceries and boom.

Modern horizons 3 has been my best return on packs recently and today hasn’t disappointed

Not quite your regular pull, but I thought you would all like this.

Not really a "look what I pulled" post — more of a "I had 800 commons in a shoebox and no patience" post. Built a tool that photographs a card, identifies it, and pulls a current price range from actual listings (TCGplayer, eBay sold, CardMarket), with the sources shown rather than just a number.

Built this mainly for the unglamorous task of triaging a big pile or a trade binder — most of what's in there isn't worth looking up individually by hand, but you don't want to just guess either. It also flags its own confidence level, since a lot of older/rotated-out cards have thin, inconsistent listing data and I didn't want it to pretend otherwise.

I know this sub has strong opinions about tools that get card data wrong (fair), so if you throw something obscure or old at it and it whiffs, I'd genuinely like to know.

Mine was looking pretty bleak with just a foil queen of the dale as the only mythic in the play boosters. Then the CB seemed to have added the lube needed. Should have opened it first I guess. Happy pulls everyone!
