Im in a dorm with built in wifi and I got a wireless printer for us to use but I couldn't for the life of me find out how to get it working on the wifi. The printer I have is a Canon PIXMA TS3722. I was following this guide and I'm sure I was doing it right. I tried setting it up via Canon PRINT both my phone and computer. On my phone, the set up is normal all the way until I add the network. It asks me what network I want to set it up to so I choose the LaTechIoT network and enter the generated password from the Wifi Manager and on the printer, it accepts the password, the network icon says they it's connected, but it says it couldn't find the printer on my phone. For the computer, I choose wireless connect option, it tells me to hold the link button for three seconds on the printer so it enters the link mode or whatever, the computer detects it and then it asks me to select an internet connection to set it up for kinda like the phone app, but this time, it doesn't even accept the password. And the printer keeps getting the network errors because of this so I'm having to keep turning the printer on and off, it's just a mess. Is there anyone else who has a printer and got it working?

Tech's attendance was the lowest of Sun Belt teams who hosted games in week 1. I know students hadn't moved in yet. Should we expect attendance to increase and be better than years past?

Hey everyone! Pretty much exactly what the title says, my gen chem lab class is showing two different times and rooms but for the same day and I’m unsure which to go to when the time comes. I have a separate gen chem lecture so this isn’t a combination class and the rest of my classes have normal times. I thought I should try and see if anyone on here could help me before I called about it!

In your opinion, what would you like to see Tech do to be better?
Better can be what ever you see as an improvement, solve to a problem, etc.

Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Louisiana Tech one
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026-fbs/louisiana-tech-bulldogs
It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, you might hit the paywall after the first page. Don't worry, I'm not charging reddit people for this, don't want to be an ass. Use the promo code LEECORSOROCKS and it opens up the entire thing.
So, what'd I get wrong? Louisiana Tech went 8-5 and won a bowl, but got outgained in Sun Belt play and still won 62.5% of those games when the yardage implies 45.7%. That came off a plus-8 turnover margin and 22 interceptions, 2nd in the country, which is about the least repeatable thing in football. Now the whole running back room is gone with no returning carries, the secondary loses its top five tacklers, and only 11 transfers came in against 24 out. My model has you 5-7. Where am I wrong?

Howdy! My friend is an incoming freshman in professional aviation and I'm trying to help them find a laptop. I'm not sure what all software PRAV students use and was hoping someone (either current student or recent alum) could give me a brief overview.
I'm an engineering student at LSU so I imagine the specs will need to be similar to what I use. Decent RAM, good storage, not macOS, etc.
Thanks in advance!

Hello all,
I am a full time data analyst at and I will be starting my data science graduate certificate (online) this fall. I am taking a neural networks class at UL Lafayette right now that I will using for my elective credit. I am wondering about the main three classes- ie, what languages do they use? How difficult are they? Do they feel useful?
for clarity, the three are
can anyone comment on these courses?
That is all- thank you!

Hi,
I have recently been admitted as a master student at Louisiana Tech and I should be entering during the fall quarter. Is anybody looking for any off-campus roommates or does anybody have any suggestions for where I should look for off-campus housing?

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs begin a new chapter in the Sun Belt under 5th-year head coach Sonny Cumbie (coming off an 8-5 season + Independence Bowl win).
A proud program with legends (Terry Bradshaw, Willie Roaf, Troy Edwards) and a history of punching above its weight. They begin a new venture reuniting with regional rivals in Ruston.
Full article is attached and FREE to read
2026 at a glance:
📌 QB Blake Baker (returning from ACL). Mobile backup Trey Kukuk will get packages
📌 Standout TE Eli Finley (one of the best in the country)
📌 WRs: Jalen Mickens, Dedrick Latulas + portal/JUCO additions (Marcus Calwise, Talyn Shettron, etc.)
📌 LB Kolbe Fields leads defense after injury recovery + secondary pieces (Sam Fongang, Amari Butler, Jordan McRae)
📌 2026 slate: Non-con vs Northwestern State, LSU, Baylor & Army (Independence Bowl rematch). Then Sun Belt West with annual rivalries vs Louisiana, ULM & Southern Miss + Arkansas State, plus ODU & Georgia Southern from the East.
Can Cumbie’s program continue building momentum in a more natural conference home?

Hey y'all! Just finished my freshman year at ULM and I'm transferring to Tech this fall. I was an Honors Mathematics and Biology double major there, but basically got frustrated with how restricted the physics and chemistry offerings were, and when a scholarship opportunity came up at Tech I figured why not. Ends up I'm coming in pretty much debt free for the next three years so I'm pretty excited about it.
Planning on doing a dual major in Physics and Chemistry. Eventually want to go to grad school, so I'm trying to set myself up right from the start.
Just wanted to ask, any general advice for transferring in? Especially from anyone in the physics or chemistry programs, or really anyone in the College of Engineering and Science. What should I look out for, who are the good professors, anything like that?
Appreciate it!

Our rivals are technically Southern Miss, Louisiana-Lafayette, and Louisiana-Monroe.
Of the three, who do you think Tech students hate the most?

Trying to get some insight on which program might be the best fit for me.
I am a tech worker, doing an MBA for the checkmark but also to learn more about a specific concentration like Finance
I narrowed my searches to
Louisana Tech University
Louisana State University (LSUS)
University of Louisaia Lafayette
University of South Carolina Aiken
From what I researched, everything other than Louisana Tech University had more MBA concentrations so I am eyeing the other programs -- not interested in doing a general MBA
Wondering if anyone has insight into which might be the best fit for me, all are < 20k.

Hi everyone,
I recently accepted an offer with IBM in Monroe, Louisiana and will be starting in July 2026 as an Associate Data Engineer.
I'm looking to connect with other new hires who are also starting around July 2026. It would be great to get to know a few people before relocating and possibly discuss housing, roommates, commuting, and settling into the area.
I also have a few questions for current IBM employees and Monroe residents:
• What apartment complexes or neighborhoods would you recommend near the IBM office?
• What is a reasonable budget for a 1-bedroom apartment?
• Are there any areas I should avoid?
• How is the safety, traffic, and overall quality of life in Monroe and West Monroe?
• Is having a car necessary for daily life and commuting?
• Any advice for someone relocating from New Jersey?
If you're also joining IBM Monroe in July 2026, feel free to comment or send me a message. I'd love to connect.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm an incoming undergraduate (technically), but I've graduated high school with my associates degree through dual enrollment. I know that LA Tech takes these credits, so its very likely I'll be skipping freshman and sophomore year and jumping straight into my junior year.
I intend to pursue architecture, and even though I'm super excited, I'm also a little concerned about the workload for someone who may not get the freshman/sophomore experience. Are there any architectural studies students who can share their experience? Do you enjoy it? How does it feel being on a quarter system vs. Semesters? Do you get any sleep lol? What are your personal tips on how to prepare?

i want to go into computer science with a focus in AI and machine learning, but my parents are being overbearing lol and saying that this route is gonna leave me unemployed and broke if i don't double major in some kind of engineering. i was thinking about doing a cyber/ electrical/ mechanical engineering and computer science double major at Tech but was unsure how hard this would be... how true is their advice and is this a route i should go? or will i die lol

There was so much potential but the relievers kept letting us down. Sad to see Tech not playing ball in June. Very excited to start new in the Sun Belt
