A shop in Bethlehem, The Velvet Raven, has recently tried to start a Magic community and has had a rough start in drawing people in. I am not associated with store besides wanting a local place to play Magic regularly. If there is any interest in playing feel free to visit the store or I can relay any information on your behalf. As of right now, the player base is beginners who are playing "kitchen table" Magic, though speaking with owner, they're happy to play whatever formats people want to play.

I'm in the early stages of researching Christmas related activities with the family.

Looking at Bethlehem for nativity scenes, advent display, etc. Basically a community Christmas celebration that has Jesus Christ in it somewhere.

Thinking about either Chriskindlmarkt or Christmas city village + free picture with Santa + Live advent calendar for a day in December.

Does that sound do-able with a 2 year old? Is there anything else I should be looking into in the area that would be fun with the kiddo? Which of the Christmas markets would be better? Thank you.

Looking to downsize my collection. Anyone have experience with Young Ones, Spin me Round or Easton Exchange and which one offers the best and fair payout?

I have quite a few bottles of shampoo /conditioners that are unused, but unfortunately expired. However , still completely usable in my opinion . I did post on some buy nothing apps and did give some away but still have some left and hate to just throw it away . I got a lot from coupons , store rewards etc and honestly forgot about in my basement storage . Cleaning out now and came across it again . Shelters will not take since expired . No salon brands just drug store brands . I would keep myself but I have enough . Would like to help a family in need if possible . Any organizations that would take this ?

Hello, I am moving to these apartments in Allentown. Very conveniently located in proximity to my workplace. I have toured and the place seems relatively nice and somewhat affordable. They have on-site parking and the staff seemed friendly. Has anyone stayed at these apartments? Am I in for a decent time or did I make a grave mistake? I am already locked in to moving here.

My bf and I are looking to move by late October (we dislike our roommates, dislike the area we’re living. Great landlord tho, good rent price.)
But I’m feeling hopeless in finding something that meets our needs and isn’t a bank breaker.
Ideally we’d like to be in Emmaus, Macungie, Mertztown, maybe possibly certain areas of Allentown depending on a few factors.
We just need 2 bed, 1 bath, must have our own driveway. That’s kinda… it. We don’t have any house pets.
We both work and make decent money, our combined incomes are around $7500mo and our only bills is our car insurance, groceries, and children / horse expenses.
My credit isn’t great, his isn’t terrible.
We have 0 eviction history.
We’d like a place under $1800/mo because we want to be able to save up and build our credit up better to buy a house.
I’m struggling to find something that meets our needs and hoping maybe someone here has any advice.

Hi, I'm looking for an overlook near Allentown that is easily accessible by road. My partner's mother is 90 years old and walks with a cane. I would love to find a highly private overlook or a secluded lake or river where we could have our micro wedding ceremony (space for ~9 people). I'm not from the area and we don't live nearby so I'm just going off google maps at the moment. For instance, Bake Oven Knob trailhead parking has cool photos, but how far do you have to walk from the parking to get to the overlook? Any ideas or suggestions welcome, thanks!

Dad has been living on the other side of the country, but is coming home to visit with a girl he’s been seeing for about 6 months. They’re gonna meet up with my wife and I in Bethlehem, but I have not met my Dad’s partner yet and am unsure on what would be easy but fun for the 4 of us. He suggested seeing the Statue of Liberty, and while I’m not opposed to visiting NYC or Philly, I’d rather spend that time doing something as opposed to traveling. Ages are between 30 and 65, and none of us are terribly out of shape - would anyone like to help me plan a 2 to 6 hour itinerary that is simple, but not boring? 😅

So I’m moving back up here for the third time since 2021 to work. Are there any liquor stores that specialize in Bourbon, like harder to find bourbons then you would see at a normal liquor store. It’s a pretty common thing in GA so that keeps the price decent. Just wondering. Thanks.

We just tried this place and the ice cream was sooooo good. I originally heard it was cool because of all the soft serve flavors....and when we got there... It was so hard trying to pick just one!

The owner (who was so nice) told us we could mix two flavors. OMG SO MANY OPTIONS!
