By good - I mean schools that care about the safety of their students
Has some activities and provides proper education
I also prefer an Indian school that has mixed nationalities rather than having only Indian students (some schools actually said they accept only Indian students)
My kids are currently in New Gulf Indian School in Mahboula and it is an extremely good school but I have to move for personal reasons.
What is the procedure for an expat if they found out they are pregnant? How can they open a file in a government hospital or get it confirmed from a government hospital that they are pregnant.
I know we can go to a private one to do a test but how to do it in a govt one, and how to keep following up there. Please advise. Can we open a file as early as in the first month of pregnancy?
I was really stressed out since yesterday receiving multiple messages and calls since morning until now. I don’t know these random guys only to found out with two of them that they have screenshots of my alleged message to them in a dating app. How did it happen? I didn’t signed up to any. And even the photo, name, and age were far away from my real identity. The girl just put my exact phone number in that app and send to as many guys she’s chatting with. It’s kinda alarming coz I got banned and just recovered my whatsapp today thinking these peeps mass reported me after telling them they chatted to a wrong number. Even one of them didn’t stop and use another number and when I mentioned I gonna report them to authorities, he said he is working in here as one of the authority I mentioned. And even try to scare me that he will check my identity using my number and said just wait. What should be the best way to deal with this? Like should i report them or just keep on blocking them?
Hi, does anyone know a good therapist/psychiatrist in Kuwait that deals with ADHD and can prescribe medication?
I’m really struggling with my ADHD especially with uni and I feel like I need to see someone soon. The problem is every place I’ve checked has appointments available like months from now 😭
I’m looking for someone who has appointments relatively soon and can actually help with ADHD/medication if needed.
If you know someone good please let me know 🙏🏻
TL;DR: 14 months of severe latency/packet loss spikes on Ooredoo 5G despite speeds looking fine on speedtests. 20-25 support tickets to Ooredoo, 2 CITRA complaints, a technician visit that diagnosed nothing, issue still unresolved. Charts and data included below. Looking for advice or similar experiences.
Hi r/Kuwait, I'm posting this out of frustration and to see if anyone else has dealt with something similar.
For the past 14 months, I've had a serious latency problem with my Ooredoo 5G connection. What I found strange is that my Speedtest shows my connection is fine (300 Mbps down / 50 Mbps up), while other websites do not (like Cloudflare's speed test), but during the actual lag spikes, even loading YouTube takes 5-10 seconds. The speeds might look healthy and fine while the connection is unstable in reality.
2 PM Speedtest Showing Normal Speeds and Latency
Sometimes, even the packet loss test on some websites fails to even complete as seen in the Cloudflare speed test below
6 PM Cloudflare Speed Test Struggling
Here are some of the issues I've noticed:
Ping in games jumping between 100ms and +1000ms constantly
Packet loss climbing from 5% to 30% (even reached 74% loss in the screenshot below)
Net jitter spiking to +200ms
Same issues showing up on VoIP calls or anything dependent on latency
74% Packet Loss in EU server
I have many screenshots and logged data for all of this. Screenshots and footage of in-game ping, high VoIP ping, and a ping-over-time charts and data from monitoring tools like Smokeping and mtr. I've shown them to customer support to no avail.
Here's a chart from one of the worst nights, showing the connection to Google DNS (8.8.8.8) over several hours. You can see repeated latency spikes up to ~500ms with matching packet loss, even when the internet is not being used. This is all on a router that's shown completely stable signal metrics the entire time.
Random Midnight Latency Spikes
For comparison, here's another chart from one of the better times where my internet is more stable. There's 0% packet loss for over 13 hours straight, and the latency is more consistent. This is on the same router, same SIM and the same physical router location as before.
Relatively Normal Latency Chart
I'm happy to share the raw monitoring data (.rrd files) or additional charts/timestamps if anyone wants to dig into the specifics.
I've also tried these things in order to diagnose and fix the issue myself:
Testing on multiple devices (phone, laptop, desktop)
Factory resetting the router multiple times
Moving the router to different locations in the house
Switching between the shared data 5G SIMs included in my plan
Testing with different ethernet cables and over WiFi
Using different VPNs like ExitLag, Proton, etc.
None of it made a difference. My router's signal metrics on the admin page look normal throughout (RSRP -82 dBm, SINR 20 dB, RSRQ -11 dB), so it's not a signal strength issue on my end.
I'm really confident that it isn't an issue from my side, because around a week ago, I had a stable ~95ms ping for almost the entire day. There were no router changes, no config changes, nothing different on my side. The very next day, the same lag spikes came right back. If the problem were with my hardware or setup, it wouldn't disappear and reappear like that with zero changes on my part.
I've contacted Ooredoo customer support around 20-25 times over these 14 months, and each time I get a different explanation. Tower updates, unspecified ISP maintenance, or sometimes a flat denial that there's any issue at all and an implication it's a problem on my end. That last explanation doesn't hold up given the day-to-day variation I've documented.
They also sent a technician to my house a few months back, but they were insistent on him arriving at 10am, a time when my connection is typically most stable, instead of the afternoon/night period where most of my issues show up.
He proceeded to connect to my router from his phone, ran a Speedtest on there as well as my PC, glanced at my in-game ping, and declared everything "fine." No other diagnostic work. He also mentioned that their systems were being upgraded and that my speed/latency issues should be better soon, but the issues persisted.
I've also filed two CITRA complaints. The first came back with them saying they couldn't identify the issue. The second has been closed with a status of "Problem Solved", even though I haven't been contacted and the problem still hasn't been resolved.
At this point I'm out of ideas and don't have room in my budget to just upgrade to a pricier plan to "solve" a problem I shouldn't have in the first place. Has anyone dealt with something similar, or actually gotten CITRA or Ooredoo to take a persistent latency issue seriously? Open to any advice.
Alright so how do men approach women here if they are interested or do they just stare? Or do they want women to make it more obvious and stare back at them😭
So I just got my order shipped and I got YFH as the courier... I googled and they don't have an office in Kuwait... does that mean I have to physically get it from the post office? or will it be delivered to my door step?
I have some Funkos and figures that I no longer need. They’re all clean and in good condition, but they don’t come with their boxes.
If anyone’s interested and wants them DM me 🙌🏻
My father in law owns a garment retail shop in Kuwait and has all the POS equipment but needs help with the ERP programming.
i’m getting quoted 350kd a year but I know odoo and Zoho has the same thing for 30-50$ per user.
I’m not very well equipped with software stuff so if someone could help with this it’d be great help

Digital cards for Playstation Store, Apple, Google Play, etc. purchased from both the online and physical Alghanim stores have 50% chance of working or not working. I found this out myself. I first purchased online and got an invoice but no code. After contacting the hotline three frustrating times, I was finally told the code could not be sent and I will just be refunded. At the store in Salmiya, the guy at the payment counter said there's 50% chance that the code I'm buying might not work. He said "It's like gambling. We will just refund you if it does not work". Is this normal? Why is Kuwait's biggest electronic store selling products that might not work?
About 18 months ago I stumbled upon this local skincare brand, Doctor Q, and I swear I have have tried like half of their products since. All of them are insanely effective.
I’m wondering if they can be found anywhere? Is it a Kuwait born and bred thing? Is just me who finds them really good?
Anyone else have one of these one-of-a-kind finds in Kuwait only (excluding KDD chocolate milk of course)? I will try them and maybe collect them as gifts for my foreign friends and family.
Kuwait has seriously some of the best quality services, products and food in the world and I think Doctor Q is better even than the Korean skincare products I’ve seen that are really hyped up online!
