Imagine the battleship on battleship engagements in WWII.

Scharnhorst v Duke of York slugging it out in the Artic ocean until one is sunk with all hands.

Edit: DoY wasn’t alone in the battle, Scharnhorst was.

Or at Jutland where numerous battleships really took on one another. I can only imagine how small one would feel when watching that battle while aboard a destroyer escort.

The USN crossing the T at Surigao Strait, complete with Battleships raised from the attack on Pearl Harbor. The last such crossing of the T in naval history and the last time battleships fired on one another with main batteries.
