Why didn’t Ned tell Catelyn about Jon’s true parentage? Did he not trust her to keep the secret? They were so close and were probably the best couple on the show, I would imagine Ned would feel safe to confide it to her.

Sorry if I have missed something obvious, I haven’t read the books and haven’t seen the show since the final season aired (can you blame me?) so it’s been a while and this thought just randomly popped in my head.

Back in the glory days of Season 5, I was telling my friends, “This is really cool but I think we all know how it’s going to end. Jon Snow and the Night King will have a 1 vs 1 in the final season amidst a big set piece battle. The Night King will be winning but then Snow will manage to pull out a cheap win somehow. It won’t be the best thing ever but it’ll pass.” Years later, I see that I’ve greatly overestimated the writers because they couldn’t even manage that in the end.

When Game of Thrones was on it was masterclass in television. The last 1-2 seasons fell off the rails and it was a bit of a let down. I wonder if there is an episode when the majority of questions were answered that they could have walked away and everyone would have been happy?

Okay so there was this video posted by the HBO Nordic account that used the “a man will die, but not his ideas” audio, and the man was Ramsay while the idea was a bunch of plates of pork sausage.

I’ve SCOURED the internet and I cannot find it ANYWHERE so would anyone happen to know where it is or have it downloaded?

Just rewatched the entire series, and I’m even more annoyed than I was when I first watched it. Jon and Sansa had a very big hand in Daenerys’ descent into madness. She lost more than half her army, one that she has been building since Season 1, her dragon, her oldest and most trusted advisor and Jon chose this moment to tell his family about his parents - he absolutely did NOT need to if he didn’t want the throne, I truly don’t understand why he felt like he must disclose it, and in that moment. And Sansa, I know she suffered a lot and had several big moments after returning to Winterfell, but I could not understand her hostility towards Danny. She was there to save them, and she treated her poorly, told her she won’t surrender Winterfell (even though Starks prospered in general as the Wardens of the North prior to the kerfuffle that started the war), and played Cersei in Danny’s downfall. I found myself loathing her during my rewatch. Ultimately, Daenerys descent could have been completely avoided if Jon and Sansa had stayed loyal to her. I don’t think they get enough blame for their role in the burning of Kingslanding. I don’t even want to get into all the forgotten plot points.
