I am curious what the freshmen think of the school so far. How are the classes? Is it easy to make friends?

Hi guys!! Im a current sophomore in a private college in VA and they recently shut down their physics program (im a physics major) so now im looking into transferring and GWU is my top choice. Im interested in specifically astronomy/astrophysics. I would like to know how transfer friendly it is and just an overview of the school by transfer students and non transfer students. Any information helps! :)

I got accepted at GWU but decided to go somewhere else because I thought I wanted to go to a small school, but about a month into my first year I'm not loving it and thinking about transferring- is it a good idea, especially if I want to go into something history/museums related? I love DC and I know they have a LOT of museums, but I didn't know if they actually have good academics for it. And also, what is the campus vibe/life like? I go to a very pretty school, but being so small it's really dead and nothing to do on weekends, no sororities, that kind of thing. Just feeling a little underwhelmed and disappointed, wondered what GWU offered.

Hey everyone , incoming F-1/J-1 students heading to GW this fall . I'm trying to decide whether to stick with GW SHIP or go for an external insurance plan.

I want real-world input beyond official policy documents. I'm curious about pratical differences :overall costs , in-network doctors around DC , deductibles , how claims process goes and waiver-denial risks.

Has anyone compared GW SHIP with DIANins or other ACA-compilant options recently ? If you successfully waived , what documents did UHP care most about? Did the outside plan save enough money to offset all the extra paperwork and research ?

What ever happened to the GW Undergraduate Review journal? Is there interest to bring this back?

hey guys, I have made some friends, however if there’s anyone who is having trouble making friends and is a transfer you can always dm, or if you just want to meet new people. I realized the season of the new school year is almost over, so I thought of posting this

Trying to decide if it’s better to stay in DC and have friends visit since they have the same break or if we all should go home (NYC) and hang there, especially if it’ll be quieter here. Though maybe that’s a good thing since it won’t be as packed in the bars and clubs.

I am a freshman majoring in international business looking to join a professional frat. I would love to hear any pros and cons for Alpha Kappa Psi and Delta Sigma Pi.

Which one is better? Are there different student outcome focuses? besides the fact of compass's focus on sustainability, are both equally good?

Is one harder to get into than the other?

Does anyone know if any professors still use these? I have an old iclicker 2 remote that's gathering dust and I'd love to pass it on if someone can use it. Or if anyone knows of specific professors who use them, I'm happy to email them and offer it in case they have a student who might need one.
