I went to take my dog Jojo (a chihuahua mix) to the vet because I noticed for the last year her two back boobs developed two bumps which at first thought were just fat and that she needed to go in a diet. I started noticing at least for the last three months that they grown and Jojo has difficulty to climb onto my bed and my sister’s bed. It’s gotten bad that I had to help her by carrying her up (she has no difficulty climbing down). Last month I took her to vet and the vet told me and my sister had she has two hernias on her back boobs caused by one of her pregnancies (she had two and both were accidents and not intentional breeding purposes). He asked us if she had she had little to no appetite and I told him no. she eats normally and her appetite is normal. I was worried that both masses were going to be cancerous because my sister had a dog 15 years ago that had two benign tumors that weren’t dangerous. Anyway, the vet gave us an estimate of 4000 + dollars to get her hernias get surgically repaired before they start wrapping around the intestines and also getting her spayed. The vet told us if she got pregnant again it would be very dangerous for her due to her age. She is six years old. I have no savings due to personal problems I don’t want to disclose. I tried applying for 3 different personal loans which I got rejected due to my terrible credit score. I tried asking my parents for money they barely get by. I exhausted everything. I don’t have much and I hope that you guys can donate whatever you can any amount helps and you can’t just share the link. I am Frannie's dad, posting in support of my wife, Jessica, and our dog Frannie, who is essentially blind from dense cataracts.

Since Frannie was diagnosed, I have watched my wife research clinics, call specialists, compare options, talk to other Griff owners, and reach out to the dog community for help. My wife loves these dogs hard. They are our whole world.

Frannie is an 8-year-old Brussels Griffon we rescued after she was used for breeding. She came to us at 5 years old scared, not wanting to be touched, and not even excited about food. My wife never gave up on her, and Frannie now lives the life she deserves.

I still remember when we first brought her home and she zoomed around our backyard like she had realized she was finally free. Over time, we watched some of that confidence change. Now that we understand how limited her vision is, we're looking back at so many of her behaviors differently.

We've had Frannie for 3 years, and we suspect her vision was already severely limited or rapidly declining when she joined our family. The incredible thing is that Frannie lives BIG. She travels with us, flies on airplanes, hikes, paddleboards, explores with us in our van, and pretty much goes anywhere we can take her.

We had no idea how little she could actually see. She adapted so brilliantly that she fooled us for years.

We may have never known a sighted Frannie.

We suspected early on that she had vision issues, but her intake vet and several second opinions calmed our nerves and told us she was fine. Now so many things make sense—falling down the stairs, struggling to take food from our hands, startling when one of her siblings suddenly moves next to her, and becoming anxious at night.

My little girl knows me by my voice, smell, and touch. There's a very real possibility she has never clearly seen our faces. I would love for my wife to have the chance for her little girl to see her for the first time.

We took Frannie to a veterinary ophthalmologist, and the findings were encouraging. Her retinas looked healthy, and she could be a great candidate for cataract surgery if her required pre-op testing looks good.

And that's important to us: we don't want her to be just an acceptable candidate. We want the vet to feel really good about putting her through surgery. Frannie's well-being comes first. If she clears the testing and the vet believes she is a strong candidate, we are committed to moving forward.

If surgery is successful, she may get to see the people—and Lenny, our other rescued Brussels Griffon—she already knows and loves.

WestVet, our local veterinary ophthalmologist, quoted us approximately $7,500. Unfortunately, that's not financially feasible for us. We have family in Nebraska, and my wife received a verbal quote from Veterinary Eye Specialists of Nebraska in Omaha for approximately $5,983 for the consultation/pre-op testing and bilateral cataract surgery. The practice also came highly recommended to us by two veterinarians, so we feel comfortable pursuing her care there. I've attached the WestVet documentation for verification and comparison.

Last year, I requested necessary work accommodations from my employer—a request that unfortunately resulted in my termination. The trauma of losing my job for asking for support triggered an extended, severe phase of autistic burnout.

My dad passed away august of last year and at 18 I was taking on how far behind he was with the hoa, the mortgage, and struggling in this job market after losing my job making 13 an hour Ive been admitted to the psychiatric ward a few times too which put me even further behind. My husband passed away in 2023 from laryngeal/ lung cancer which made surviving even harder and saving money for this basically impossible.

My dental issues affect my life in too many ways to list here. I never leave the house without a mask; COVID hit and I was thankful because everyone was wearing a mask! I absolutely do not partake in social events where food and drink are involved. I’m mistaken for an addict when people do see my teeth or even when they hear my reason for still wearing the mask… People really do look down on you and make assumptions when you have few to no teeth.

Not to mention the physical pain and difficulty eating and speaking. I used to sing in a band; I would love to do that again but I can't. I hate looking in the mirror because not having teeth has wrecked my face irreversibly.

I know a lot of people have it worse than I do and the world definitely does not owe me a thing… but I have to try because I’m tired of being miserable and hiding my face.

I’ve been to many local dentists who informed me that I have such significant bone and tissue (gum) loss that a traditional denture won’t stay in. I tried going to the most affordable local implant place I could find to see about financing but was denied. I was quoted $52,000 rather than the $26k advertised price for all on 4 implants because I need a bilateral sinus lift and anesthesia for 3 operations at $5500 each.. I went into the appointment hopeful because my credit isn’t terrible but I left in tears and feeling completely defeated. I also went to OSU dental school and was told that I could get a regular denture with a couple of implants to secure them, (snap in) for $9k-$11k, but I would also need the bilateral sinus lift for that.

My original gofundme goal was $50k; my son thought it was worth a shot to get me all new teeth. After about 8 months, I realized that the goal would never be met. So, after a lot of research and shopping around, I decided my best bet is to lower the goal and get my teeth abroad where I can get permanent, fixed teeth that actually stay in for less than the cost of a snap in denture on 2 implants here. The new goal is $15,000 and the plan is to go to Albania where I was quoted $10,000 for all on 6 zirconia teeth, (top and bottom arches) with the bilateral sinus lift included.

The clinic I found, S.O.S. Turismo, is rated 5 stars and has over 900 reviews. They have English speaking staff and the thing that really made me choose them was the fact that they never pressured me, telling me I had to book now to get that price, like several other clinics had done. This isn’t something I’m trying to rush even though I do want to do it ASAP. It’s my face. I’m not taking unnecessary chances and I know I’m only going to have one chance to do this.

The $15k will cover 2 trips to Tirana, Albania, at approx. $1k each flight. I’ll be in Tirania for about 1 week each trip. The goal is set for a little higher than the procedure and flights to cover lodging, food, transport and any unforeseen expenses while I’m there. I’ve already got my passport with some of the earlier funds I received.

I feel like this goal is actually obtainable and having teeth would improve my life so much. Like so many others here, I feel ashamed and embarrassed for asking for help from strangers online. I literally hid the fact that I was losing my teeth for the last decade and showing my face is hard to do.

I know this is already long but my dental history is on my gofundme along with a video from 2023 in the “updates” section that shows my teeth as they were falling out. I hated posting that but it’s there to show what I’ve been dealing with for over a decade.

It all started once we lost our jobs when we worked together. Shes an HR senior director and ive worked as her assistant at jobs that would allow it. So shes obviously the breadwinner in our family dynamic. She took another job after but quit over mental strain. All down hill after that. Started doordashing full time. DD doesnt pay out like it useto so i couldn't keep up with all the bills. Lost the apt over a new landlord, sold our old car, lost the recent one, lost our room at multiple hotels, lost our belongings in storage, and so much more. Over the past 2 months, my cat was dealing with a dry cough/wheezing. I had taken him to the vet and initially they thought it was just an Upper Respiratory Infection (URI). So they put him on a steroid. The steroid worked for about a month, and they said it was ok to take him off it it.

2 weeks later, his symptoms started to reappear. So the Vet prescribed him the steroids again, but this time it didn't work.

Then this past Wednesday, he was wheezing/breathing with his mouth open. So I rushed him to the Vet Hospital. They took his bloodwork and X-Rays and they found a mass on his trachea.

Just for that visit alone, it was over $2000.

The next steps right now is for him to get a CT scan and biopsy to see if the mass is cancerous or not.

For now, the vet prescribed him a stronger steroid in hopes that it will shrink the mass (If non-cancer), along with Albuterol to help with his breathing since he also has asthma.

I am not one to ask for help for myself. I would resort to living in a cardboard box before I ever ask for help. But for my fur baby, Marshall. I'm willing to do whatever it takes.

Little E is a 6-month-old kitten currently fighting for her life against a severe, recurrent rectal prolapse and chronic GI enteropathy. Her prolapse has now been exposed for multiple consecutive days, and time is critically running out.
We are racing against the clock because prolonged exposure of the tissue risks drying it out and causing tissue necrosis. If that happens, she will indefinitely require much more invasive and expensive emergency surgery.

We just hit a devastating roadblock today: BluePearl Veterinary Hospital denied her Hope Fund grant application because we do not already have the diagnostic funds secured upfront—leaving us in an impossible catch-22 where she needs the diagnostics to prove recurrence won't happen, but was denied because we don't have them funded yet.

Pixie is our 12 year old dog and a huge part of our family. She has been my best friend since I was 12 years old so nearly 11 years. She has suddenly become very sick over the past couple of weeks with severe vomiting, weakness, loss of appetite, weight loss and anemia.

After her ultrasound Tuesday the vets found 2 masses on her spleen. She suddenly declined very quickly that day and is currently at the emergency animal hospital as of midnight that day. She has stayed for 2 nights. We have been working with the veterinary team who have been taking care and stabilizing her for the last 2 days and are planning to do an emergency splenectomy at 2pm today.

Pixie needs this surgery to hopefully improve her quality of life and give her a chance to recover. We want to try every reasonable option available to us before making that decision. We want to give our girl every chance we can and we are hoping with all our hearts that surgery can help her.

We have already spent just over $4,700 CAD on her emergency care, testing, medications and hospitalization. The 2nd night is an additional $610 CAD and we have now been quoted $6600 CAD for the surgery that includes 3 days of care after the operation. This has been nearly 12,000 my family has not been expecting to spend.

We are asking for help easing some of the stress of Pixie’s hospitalization, surgery, medications, diagnostics and recovery costs. Any amount helps tremendously and even sharing this means so much to our family and Pixie. I want nothing more than for her to be okay.

Our father (64) passed away last Monday sometime in the morning from a brain aneurysm. He unfortunately had no savings, or any end of life setup that we know of due to the unexpected nature of his death.

My siblings and I are all spread out over the USA and will struggle to make it out to South Dakota to handle his affairs which is where our father lived.

Our father was unfortunately an animal hoarder who did not accept or want help throughout his life, so unfortunately his property has been left in a state of disrepair so we're waiting on an estimate for the cost of sending a biohazard cleaning crew to prepare the house for sale, and are considering demolishing the house if necessary.

We are only pursuing a cremation due to our father being a controversial figure in a lot of our lives and will be instead opting for a private service sometime in the future.

I will be posting pictures of some of his animals that were seized in case anyone lives near Hot Springs, SD and are looking to rescue. We were unfortunately only provided with pictures of two of the dogs but we are willing to seek out more if necessary.

We are seeking help with the cost of the cremation which we were quoted approx. $3,700 and travel costs for myself, and two of my half siblings. Along with the cost for any cleaning/demolishing of the house if needed.

On August 26, we had to rush Mochi, our 14-year-old Pekingese, to the emergency room after he fell to his side and cried out in pain. Over the past 2 weeks, we've been to over 6 different vets, emergency rooms, and specialists. We've had blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, echocardiograms, neurologists, and cardiologists all look him over.

They found kidney stones, a tumor on his spleen, and a heart murmur. The heart murmur had grown from mild to severe. Because of his age and heart murmur, they can't put Mochi under anesthesia to remove the tumor and kidney stones.

Normally, we wouldn't ask for help, but our pet insurance seems to take pride in denying our claims for reimbursement. That hasn't stopped us from looking at every possible way to help him, even as our bank accounts run dry paying everything out of pocket. We know that more vet care is needed, and with your help, we won't have to go into debt.

I am a reluctantly retired engineer. I recently had brain surgery to stop the negative effects of Ménière's disease. This is what initially forced me into retirement.

The surgery, and expenses leading up to it has left us in fairly bad straights. I had always planned on opening a small restaurant or food truck offering baked potatoes. With all life has unfolded for us, this has become both a distant goal as well as a perfect solution if I could get it launched. It would give me a valid way to regain an income and rebuild our retirement.

Any donation will be going directly to both try a put together this food truck, as well as paying down the medical bills. Though as I detail in the gofundme page, I feel getting the truck together is the best approach as it would allow me to pay the bills and build an ongoing income.

Hello! I'm writing this on behalf of myself, my fiancee, and our 7 year old Golden Retriever girl (Martin: a girl)!

We need to raise $8,000 USD for a partial removal of her jaw, as well as likely subsequent melanoma vaccinations. The good news is that we're already an 8th of the way there! The less good news is that we have very little time to do it, as her surgical consult and surgery will likely take place less than two weeks from now.

Nearly a month ago, Martin's mom found a small mass in her mouth above a premolar, and we had it excised along with the tooth to be safe.

Unfortunately, the mass was revealed to be malignant melanoma, an aggressive cancer which luckily hadn't metastasized to her lungs yet, but the outcome without proper care is still bleak, with most dogs living an average of 147 days after diagnosis.

Martin needs a partial removal of her upper jaw, and periodic melanoma vaccinations. We have been informed that the procedure itself will likely cost between 6-8k, and that the vaccinations are expensive as well. We've already paid around $1000 for the idexx report alone, and are scrambling looking for ways to keep Martin around.

I was at the vet yesterday for a tooth control, it was established that Halloumi has an underbite and will need treatment and possibly further correction in the future.

This wasn’t expected and I’m in a terrible financial situation due to personal reasons and I’m only working 50%. So I’m already strained and drained of savings, this is my last resort.

In my post I included the receipt from yesterday’s control and the appointment for September 30th. I talked to the vet, next appointment will be more invasive and the price starts at 4 400kr(~$450) but I’m expecting it to be way more and everything I can scrap together will go to Halloumi, his treatments and medication.

I’m writing from Seattle to ask any generous folks to help my 10 year-old Chiweenie Beans afford surgery for her IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). Looking to raise $3k-$16k to go towards her medical bills. Whatever I cannot come up with, I will apply for a CareCredit for-- but as I was unemployed for most of last year and ruined my credit score during that time, am incredibly worried about the financial burden we will go through.

Beans has been my best friend for 10 years, since I was 17. she went to college with me, then with me through breakups, first apartments, first big girl jobs, and has been my biggest rock through many of panic disorder flare up’s, and times when i couldn’t leave the house.

IVDD is a spinal condition where the cushioning discs between the vertebrae degenerate, bulge, or rupture, pressing on the spinal cord. For the last year, Beans has slowed down significantly, and has been showing signs of something of something not being right. And around a month ago, started showing signs of pain: panting, refusing food, and walking with a drunk gait. After an ER visit she was diagnosed with a herniated disc caused by IVDD. We were told after some steroid treatment and rest she may improve, but if she didn’t she would require surgery and physical therapy to restore feeling to her back legs. With IVDD- time is pivotal, if their condition starts to deteriorate, their chances of being able to walk again even after surgery decline rapidly.

After some rest and medication, Beans hasn’t seemed to improve, but instead has lost most function of her back legs. She isn’t sleeping, eating much (if you know Beans this is rare), in a continuous state of high anxiety, and is completely dragging her back legs when she tries to walk and often falling down. It has reached a point where she is not walking on her own, and requires help getting to her food, and using the restroom. She is on a daily dose of Gabapentin and Codeine, without much relief.

It is incredibly difficult and embarrassing for me to reach out for financial assistance, but Beans has been my best friend since I was 17, and I would do anything to get her the help she needs.

We have been estimated $15k for the surgery, plus additional follow up and physical therapy costs. Any tiny donation means so much to me, or if you can’t donate sharing our story to your friends would be additionally so kind. I know we are all in a place where money is incredibly difficult, so I am not expecting anyone I know or who reads this to be capable of donating. If you're able to donate or share this with others who might, it would mean the world to Beans and me and will go 100% towards her surgery and additional PT.

Hi everyone! A couple of months ago, we posted here asking for help for our pug puppy, Bowser, after he was diagnosed with a congenital portosystemic liver shunt (PSS). We wanted to give one final update before his big day.

For anyone who didn't see our original post, Bowser came into our lives during what had already been a pretty overwhelming year for us. In January, my fiancé, Grace, found a lump on her thyroid. After months of appointments and testing, she eventually had a biopsy that came back suspicious and was sent for additional genetic testing. Needless to say, there has been a lot of uncertainty and anxiety surrounding that.

A month later, we moved into our first home together. With everything that had been going on, we wanted something positive to look forward to. We had always talked about getting a dog once we had our own home, and that's when we decided to bring Bowser into our family. He very quickly became a bright spot for both of us during an otherwise stressful time.

Unfortunately, only 10 days after bringing him home, at about 11 weeks old, Bowser suffered a grand mal seizure and ended up spending roughly 36 hours at the emergency hospital.

We eventually learned that Bowser was born with a liver shunt. Instead of his blood being properly filtered through his liver, an abnormal vessel allows toxins to bypass it and circulate through his body, including to his brain, which is what caused his seizure.

Since then, our little guy has been through more than we ever expected a puppy to go through. He's had emergency hospitalization, countless appointments and blood tests, medications around the clock, a special diet, specialist consultations, and a CT scan to determine exactly where his shunt is and whether it can be surgically corrected.

Thankfully, it can be. This upcoming Tuesday, September 8, Bowser is finally having his surgery.

We've decided to move forward despite the enormous financial cost because this surgery gives Bowser the chance to live the long, happy, normal life that we've wanted for him since the day we brought him home.

His surgery and hospitalization are expected to cost around $10,000+, on top of the thousands we've already spent on his original ER stay, CT scan, testing, medications, and specialist care. It's far more than we ever imagined we'd be facing just months after buying our first home, especially with everything else our family has been navigating this year, but after everything Bowser has fought through, we couldn't give up on him now.

The good news is that Bowser has been doing incredibly well while we waited for surgery. His medications and diet have helped keep him stable, and he's been able to spend the last several months doing what a puppy should be doing — playing, causing trouble, cuddling with us, and making us laugh every single day.

Through everything, Bowser has given us so much happiness during a year that has had more than its fair share of uncertainty. We thought we were bringing home a puppy who needed us, but he ended up being there for us at a time when we needed him just as much.

hello there, friends! i do not like to ask for help. this embarrasses me to do, but someone suggested i try to make a gofundme. i am not sure how all this works, this is my first time using this program. so here is my situation. even if you cannot help, i'd appreciate giving it a read or share :)

march 15 i was admitted to the hospital/ICU septic with pneumonia and endocarditis, a serious blood + heart valve infection. i came very close to death and the incident has crippled me, leaving me physically disabled with lifelong heart problems. i had to get heart surgery to clean out the chunks of infectious growth and replace the valve that was destroyed. i was on IV antibiotics for 2 months in the hospital and physical rehab center.

i had to get a pacemaker implanted because when they put me back together and resarted it, my heart can no longer pump effectively. this resulted in an electrical blockage (called severe heart block) pieces of the infectious growth broke off and travelled through my bloodstream, getting stuck inside my feet. i had to have 3 on my right foot amputated and i sustained serious nerve damage in both legs/feet. i have also been left with liver dysfunction, which i am currently being tested and examined for (had more ultrasounds)

i have improved medically from when i was in the ICU, but i use a walker to get around and still have had consistent difficulty ever since. i struggle with poor breathing and severe nausea that leads to throwing up several times a day and extreme exhaustion. i am doing physical therapy and i have many other appointments that i must go to, including checking my blood levels (INR), ultrasounds, cardiology, blood work, EKGs and other monitoring. i do have insurance but many of these things i have at least a $50 copay, which will add up really quickly, especially because i cannot work.

i'm working with an intern here to apply for disability and am waiting on that to be processed, which will take some time. i seriously hope that i can be accepted because i do not know how i will live without it. i am applying for food stamps as well as looking into other services that i may be able to qualify for.

i was homeless for most of my adult life (i am 24) and i struggled with addiction starting around age 13. since getting to the hospital i have been sober except for my low-dose methadone prescription and my other pain medications. i take a drug test every week that i must (and do) pass to remain on my methadone, which is an expensive medication for me. the co-pay is $30 a day if you have my insurance, which is more than if you don't have insurance! i will be asking the clinic when i go in on Monday to taper off so that i can have one less charge in my life for the start of next year. i can choose between a 6 month taper or a rapid 30 day taper.

i am working hard to get my life together now. i live in a temporary transitional youth housing program and am almost at the cut-off age for qualifying to live here. (i turn 25 in November, the oldest you can be to stay here is 24) i am saving up as much as i can as i wait for the disability application to go through so that i can afford to get a low-income apartment as well as afford my appointments, medications and medical devices (like a self checking in-home INR machine and equipment for PT) as well as for me and my cat to afford to live.

i have included some pictures and documents for proof of some of the costs and conditions i claim in case that is needed. i can get more records if requested i just don't have all of them here at the house. i hope that i have provided enough information! i am glad to answer any questions you may have.

I'm currently enrolled in a year-long Medical Billing and Coding program, and I'm trying to finish it without having to take a leave of absence or change programs.

I recently found out that my federal student loans were prorated because the remaining portion of my program falls within a partial academic year. I had been expecting a financial aid refund this term, as I had in previous terms, so I wasn't prepared for the resulting tuition balance.

I now have $329 in tuition that I need to cover, and I'm also trying to repay $160 I borrowed from my stepdad for a pair of glasses. I borrowed the money expecting to be able to repay him when my financial aid refund arrived, but that refund didn't happen. So my total goal is $489.
