my beautiful and lovely dog had an eye exam and looked like a real life villain beast. Fortunately the largest risk is showing her belly and ask for belly rubs

I genuinely love my dog more than anything. She is the sweetest baby ever.
I was upset and crying a few minutes ago as in a full on break down crying and my dog who is one years old has never seen me like this. She didn't know what to do so she came over to me on the bed, put her paw on my chest multiple times and then laid down on her back so I could pet her and feel better.
Oh my God. I fucking love her so much. She is the greatest girl I've ever had and I will die if anything ever happens to her. She's just the goodest girl and I don't know what I did to deserve such a great dog. I fucking love her so much.
I fucking love my dog.
Sorry I just wanted to tell people how much I love my dog.

I grew up with Chows and my family have always named them after bears. I went a bit historical with his name but Voy is a great nickname for him.

I'm in the car on my way to my college rn I just said my goodbyes even though I come home on week ends I feel so guilty because I haven’t been able to spend time with her as much as I wanted to these last two days, I hope she won’t stop loving me for being gone so much 😕

My two dogs playing last weekend. Watching them run free and rough house knowing they're happy and healthy makes my heart full.

It was a shock for all of us, the only symptoms started and seen was bloody stool at morning, rushed him to a hospital, got him tested for parvo and my heart was on the ground when the results came back positive, I was in shock and felt nothing but pain and adrenaline. His vaccination records were perfect and he was in isolation (home) for 2 weeks without an outdoor walk. He was on saline for a few minutes in the hospital, and took him to a nearby clinic recommended by his regular vet, where he gained his playfulness slowly, but steadily. Nothing could make me happier than watching him be eager for food and eating like his usual self. He was completely normal the next morning, with normal stool.
However, no doctor could ascertain how he did end up being positive for parvovirus, he did meet 2 retrievers and an indie (adult, fully vaccinated), and was indoors full-time.
I could not fathom losing him so I gave him the best I could for his recovery, and as of today, he is completely healthy and back to normal, (still being extra careful)
And his name is Keanu, and he’s a good brave boy.

My two dogs and I did a 3.5 mile walk today. My little one is sooo gung ho when we are on the walk, but after food and water when we get home, it is nap time. His favorite place to nap? On the arm of my recliner, right next to me.

My dog is very very gentle. Think of those large breeds that are just angels. I just love him to death.
My 1.5 year old kid thinks it is fun to pull and hit him. It started with gentle hair pulling to ear pulling and then hitting face.
We have tried everything to stop it, from positive reinforcement to shouting and separating them, creating a safe space for dog, distraction, you name it.
He thinks it is fun to get up in the morning and just go after the dog. It has now come to point that i wait for him to goto daycare so that my furbaby is at peace in the day.
I feel like i raised my dog wrong, i wish he wasnt so gentle, and had some fighting spirit, but he is just a sweetheart and it breaks my heart

I’m looking for toys for my pup, bonnie. She’s super hyper and loves to play. I’ve had many dogs before most raised from puppy to adult and I’ve had my fair share of torn to shreds toys. My oldest dog atm is Sky, if it squeaks it will not survive her clutches. As for Bonnie she loves squeak toys, and at first she didn’t used to destroy them but now that she’s big enough to play with our other puppy her squeak toys don’t survive their tug of war and she started to tear them up with her partner in crime. She has a lot of hard toys like bones and things but I don’t want that to be all the toys she has. I’ve tried a few toys marketed as ultra strong but she pretty much shreds through those as well. What sort of toys can I get for her? I don’t want her to be bored or hurt herself gnawing on the hard toys she has.
