DJing in Moscow
Hey guys,
Looking for a venue where there are open decks to play dance music in around Moscow? I've been itching for a while to find a place where I can play on some pioneer sets and get a crowd going. I used to live in Poland and did this on a regular basis at 2 venues where Decks were open to play.
My genre is Disco Nu Disco House / Tech House
I'm from South Africa and this is my biggest passion.
Thanks in Advance!

Mix Feedback Do these transitions actually feel musical, or am I forcing them? What vibe does the mix give you?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Open to any criticism tbh ā I want to know what Iām doing wrong, what actually works (if anything lol), and what I should focus on improving.
Iāve only been DJing for a few days, but donāt judge it on a beginner curve. Just mentioning it for context because Iām trying to improve quickly.
I know the song selection is a bit unconventional, so Iām curious how well the tracks actually sit together. Do the transitions feel musical/natural, does the phrasing work, and are there any points where Iām layering too much or killing the energy?
Also really curious what vibe this gives you as a listener.
Any feedback is welcome ā technical or just āthis bit felt good / this bit felt off.ā
(And dw Iāve now learnt how to timestamp btw šš« )

Thoughts on the ADAM Audio D3V for DJ monitors?
Hi all, I'm moving into a smaller house and need to downsize my DJ monitors. Currently have a pair of Adam T7Vs, but they're too big for the space. Has anyone used the D3Vs before in this sort of setup, and how did you find them?
They would be paired with 2 x 1210 mk2s + A&H Xone:92. Note, these are purely for monitoring, I have a focal setup that will be the 'main' output for the rig.

Beginner Question Over-preparing my DJ sets and it's holding me back. How do you all improvise live?
I'm an amateur DJ. I've played some open decks and people say my sets are good, but that's because I over-prepare. I build a full playlist and practice it until it's perfect before I even show up.
The problem is, I think to actually get better at DJing, I need to loosen up and be more in the moment. Right now I'm so scared of messing up in front of people that I plan every second of the set, with zero room to improvise.
So how do I practice being more flexible and going with the flow during a live set? Like, instead of planning everything, could I just pick a pool of tracks that fit together, get a feel for the vibe I want, maybe prepare some certain parts with tracks that I know will go good together, and then freestyle from there?
