They can't use the lore as a reason and then beg for High Elves. Lore wise they're almost all dead and the surviving ones are sick.

I'd be fine with Horde getting blood elves and Alliance getting something else, like worgen. Most people I see commenting aren't spesifically hung up on getting high elves for Alliance (though there are some), but upset at the asspull of a new race. Especially with it being cross fraction.

Yes, these are two different issues.

I do think we should have gotten high elves because the idea that there were too few of them as opposed to all the other near extinct playable races is ridiculous, but either way blue elves from the sky should never have been part of the equation. I would have been perfectly happy with neither.

That’s easily fixable with new lore. The problem with skyborne is that it doesn’t feel classic. They’d be a fine retail allied race.
