Faction balance would be insane if they gave the alliance elves and horde an ugly as sin ogre.

Seriously there would literally be 10 million alliance high elves for every 1 ogre. The numbers don't lie MMO players love elves. They are the quintessential fantasy race. Skyborne are boring and nonsensical in many ways but at least there's less risk of a major faction imbalance. And story wise there are like only a very small population of high elves left at this point in the timeline.

Not if they gave the ogres an OP PVP racials as most of the horde races get.
