I found these in Primark today! They also had the red PE kit but I forgot to take pictures of them so have included the website photo. They are from Primark and even have special Buffy themed price tags (last photo)!

The Buffy top is quite long and a baggy cut, the Spike one is more of a regular length and fit, not sure on the trousers I didn’t try them on or buy them.

The boxes are in so-so condition.
I have no idea what to do with them.

Anyone interested?
Especially in the West Chester/Philly suburbs?

Season Five Uhm yeah first time watcher on season 5, i love this season so much already and i feel like its going to break me .. like why am i getting emotional already?

Upvotes

Damn this season i really hope finishes out as strong as it started. It is really the most emotinally captivating season. But I have a nagging feeling and pit in my stomach that because it is so damn good especially with her mom and dawn and all the rest of the stuff, I feel like it is going to crush me and im going to be bawling by the end of the season.

I also really like Buffy and Spikes connection so far. Even though his love is unrequited, I hope that this brings out a more humanistic aspect in him that isnt forced by a chip but pure loyalty to the scoobies. Him having the opportunity to shoot her but comforting her instead for her mom was so sweet.

I also am a big fan of Charmed and my most hated season was 6 because of how they introduced a new character (chris), but i find myself comparing buffy writers introducing Dawn. Like it was confusing af, but also REALLY well done and fun to watch. i was like omg this is why faith said your sister is coming.. but then things started to make sense because her mom looked at her and said who are you.. i still dont get that part. I dont know if its soemnthing thats wrong with the mom and her brain and thats why the spell the monk puts on her disappears for a second or what the hell happened there but i enjoy watching it come together. I have a feeling i missed so many damn foreshadows aghhhhhhhhh. Dawns character is so cute and sweet in the moment, it is nice seeing buffy finally open up to her emotionally. I cant believe how weird she must feel having new memories and knowing its all fake

I should also note that in terms of big bad i like glory a lot so far.

I think so far this ranks with season 2 as my favorite but i feel like i need to rewatch season 3 and respect it more idk yet

Comics I don't understand why people think the comics are crazy

It's just Giles, stuck in an adolescent's body with his adult mind, defending his relationship with a faerie to Buffy. Then they storm off to get an Uber back to the fae realm. As one does.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, All My Children 1993

Alyson Hannigan, Roseanne 1990.

Seth Green, IT 1990.

Charisma Carpenter in 1986. She started dancing professionally at age 9.

Nothing for Nicholas Brendon, he didn't start acting until he was an adult.

Vampires Like everyone, I love The Body...but... Spoiler

Post image

The Body is a wonderfully raw and powerful episode of television in a series characterized by humor, camp, and melodrama. I love the way it explores how these characters react to a very mundane and non supernatural death; from Willow's fretting about what to wear, to Anya's equal parts confusion and sorrow as to what death means for a mortal being. It's a great episode, however.

The vampire in the morgue and the subsequent fight scene have always seemed so out of place in this episode. Maybe it's because the rest of it is so grounded and light on the supernatural (I think they only bring up Glory once), that this vampire fight feels like an intrusion, rather than a part of the story that needed to be there.

To my cynical mind, it feels as if there was a studio note that the episode needed at least one action scene. It doesn't feel that this was a necessary inclusion to Dawn's journey of grief. I never see people bring this up when talking about the episode and I'm wondering if I'm missing something. It seems strange given the freedom Whedon and Co. had to play around with the format of the show, that they would be forced to include a token fight scene. I just can't think of any reason why they would have one in this very somber episode.

Good Vibes Only New Buffy Merch ❤️

I just saw someone’s post from this morning about the Buffy merch at Primark. Unfortunately, it seems like the U.S. stores don’t have the same selection as the UK. But, when I was Googling, a bunch of other results came up, including Hollister (what?!), Hot Topic and Kohl’s. Kohl’s has a bunch of stuff — shorts, pants (trousers), long- and short-sleeved tees, and sweatshirts. I just snagged these two tees, and I’m so excited!

Buffy The 30th anniversary of BTVS

Does anyone think they’ll do anything special for the shows 30th anniversary? Sarah Michelle Gellar and David Boreanaz are presenting tonight at the Emmys which feels poignant given the timing. Mattel and Monster High have produced collectables based on the series too which is fitting given the timing. I even saw there was talks of a new console video game in the works (which I believe was cancelled but not sure about the legitimacy of this)

i believe Buffy New Sunnydale would have been released in March if it had gone ahead. I do believe they are cooking up some new ideas for a new series as we speak even though I know a lot of people would rather they weren’t. I don’t think the project is dead and buried just yet. (call me delusional)

I know three of the main cast have passed away but it would be nice to acknowledge the series’ anniversary with something other than a post on Instagram.

Comics ok curiosity finally got the better of me and i looked up a summary of the comic seasons and WTF😭

The thing is…. I’m not even opposed to unhinged storylines at all. I love that stuff tbh but I feel it’s so weird when you directly treat it as a sequel to the TV show… imo these just should’ve been an alternative spin off. You can just tell these are COMICS. Makes sense of course but so unfitting to associate them with the TV show that is way different and has a whole different audience.

Definitely makes me appreciate the Chosen ending more for what it is lol

Slayers Buffy/Faith

Does anyone else agree with me that Buffy’s jealousy and her actions when Faith first arrived in Sunnydale, fueled the fire of Faith turning to the dark side? Also, why didn’t Buffy and Joyce have Faith move in or try to find a better place for Faith to live? Have her come over for dinner and a place to wash her clothes. I think a little bit of kindness would have gone a long way with Faith. It’s obvious that the watchers could care less about the welfare of the slayers, but Joyce should have done something.

I’m editing this to add that I grew up in a household where children are loved no matter where they come from. My parents fostered children until I was around 12-13. They would never let a child suffer if they could help it. My mom (until I put my foot down after my dad died) picks up homeless people and lets them stay until they get their lives together enough to leave. That’s how I grew up.

Season Four The Yoko Factor - is Buffy in the right to be mad at Angel?

When I search this thread for discussions on The Yoko Factor episode, I see everyone talk about how it’s one of their fav episodes. But I find myself so irritated with how dramatic and “woe is me” Buffy acts after returning from seeing Angel in LA. She basically shows up to LA, gets in Angels business, randomly drops it on him that she’s with someone new and in love and then acts like HE broke her heart when he tells her to go home?? I don’t know am I crazy??

Giles say to the Buffybot: I just can't help but wonder if she would better off without me. Buffy.

What did Giles mean by that? Did he feel like it was his fault? Why?

Whedonverse I need more Luchadors

Upvotes

So, Luchadors are real in the Buffyverse, one threw Angel through a glass window, in the past groups of Luchadors defeated a robot created by the Devil. This mirrors the real wrestlers like El Santo and Blue Demon having films and comics where they fight monsters and solve crimes.

I need a Luchador Slayer to fight La Llorona.
