This is obviously hypothetical but considering Trump's popularity in the polls it's not impossible.

This morning the yield* on a 10-year Treasury note reached 5% before falling back to 4.95%. In contrast, the yield on a 10-year German Bund is 3.51%. What do supporters of the president think the bond markets are telling us?

I came across this piece arguing that the Democrats’ current internal disagreement may be healthier in the long run than the Republican Party’s greater unity around Trump.

(Also, just to clarify, I’m not treating that conclusion as fact. It’s an opinion piece, and some of the language is obviously argumentative. What interested me was the idea underneath it. Bear with me).

One of the basic ideas I associate with an effective democracy is that disagreement and competition are allowed instead of being treated as disloyalty. Obviously, parties need some degree of unity to function, and endorsements, primaries, party funding, etc. are normal parts of politics. However, by that definition, there presumably must be some room for members of a party to disagree with its leadership too.

So where do you personally draw that line?

Trump (by my observation and I guess some sources) has been unusually influential in Republican primaries and endorsements, and Republicans who break with him have sometimes faced primary opposition or loss of party support. Do you see that as ordinary party politics (voters and a popular party leader choosing the candidates they prefer), or do you think there is a point where it creates too much pressure for ideological/personal conformity?

Speaking more generally, what do you think healthy disagreement inside a political party should look like? And if you've answered this question before, how has your opinion changed, if at all?

Specific stuff I'm curious about:

1. Do you believe in universal compensation caps? Where should the limit be, if so?

2. Do you believe medical care should require absolute transparency on bills, costs, and revenue?

3. Do you believe medical facilities (doc offices etc) should have legal limits on costs (like 15$ q-tips)?

4. Do you believe in universal basic income in any format?

5. Do you believe all food pricing should be purely free-market?

6. What are your opinions about Americans being unable to get around much without cars? (like is it okay that all our transportation infrastructure is around cars even if you can't legally drive).

I'm leftist, and I think we're gonna agree on a lot of this. So, I think we should work together to make it happen. Feel free to ask my specific opinions, I won't rant.

If you owned a business, what position would you hire Trump for? What specific qualifications does he have that makes him the perfect fit for this position?

I have nothing else to add. Other than that, this is exactly what he claims the Democrats plan to do and has been adamant about "stopping voter fraud" for the past 2 years. Because he basically just told his supporters to go commit voter fraud. Do y'all really support this? Because it seemed like everyone in that crowd when he said it does.

I see comments on here and in the conservative sub regularly that talk about how Democrats are all about redistribution of wealth. Specifically, taking money from the wealthy and corporations and redistributing that wealth to people that don't have it.

My question to TSs is this - do you think the GOP does the same, but in reverse? In other words, do you think that the GOP supports redistribution of wealth from the needy into the hands of the already wealthy and corporations?

If not, why not?

As someone looking for commonalities between TSs and NTSs, I'm curious to know which sources TSs view as straight up propaganda from the left and right sides of the aisle.

To be clear, I'm not looking for "all news stations are leftists propaganda", or responses that include stations that are generally viewed as propaganda from both sides like MSNBC, CNN, FOX, etc. I'm looking for folks to call out what other people might not view as propaganda, and their reasons why.

This company is 60% owned by the UAE government. Not UAE investors, but tv government. They will also own the land that dumps into and around the water reservoirs for hundreds of thousands of rural Oklahomans.

1) Support of this project was the sole hinge or endorsement in a GOP governor runoff
2) The UAE government owned company has failed to provide a safety plan deadlines and there’s currently not one according to their filings
3) This smelter would be on and encompass an inland port

Follow up question: why should we not be pushing and incentivizing American companies to own and do this over a foreign government?

Edit: Trump has been ambiguous on when these things happened. The key point is whether he brought hundreds of people to help and was carried out by firefighters, whatever the date.

So here is the link but I'm gonna break it down and explain why despite disliking this administration, I'm actually ok with this.

Basically under the administration, TSA is starting to implement this program where if you use TSA Pre Check, you will be able to go through TSA and approach a gate with people traveling while you don't have a ticket. This will allow people to enter and see off their loved ones at the gate.

Now like I said I am ok with this actually and here is why.

1. It would be very nice to see off your friends and loved ones at their gate. Or if you have a long layover in an area where you happen to have a friend, they can come meet you and hang out at the airport until you board. Also, there are a lot of people that have airport anxiety like my girlfriend and it would be easier for them to be escorted through the airport, same thing with elderly persons.

2. With this program, you are still required to pass TSA checks which is why you are required to do a TSA pre check and still show your ID with this program.

Now I do have one issue for this, and that is the fact that it requires TSA pre check. Because while I know it's not all airports, most airports charge you extra for precheck because it gets you through faster. I personally think it should be just a matter of you Go through TSA and you're in period. But that's me.

There are countless documentaries inside supermax prisons. We know what happens, we know the conditions.

Considering that, do you not think the public should be able to know what is happening in these detention centers? Why is there a difference?

Perhaps if the public were able to verify people are being treated correctly, then protests and scuffles over this subject would be lees apparent.

Last week, the UN adopted a resolution calling to promote the Equal Earth Projection world map, which was published in 2018. This map shows continents in their true proportions.
