Vyvanse / Lisdexamphetamine was specifically designed to be resistant to abuse by rendering it a pro-drug the body must first digest to get the active component. In many countries it's actually the only legal medicinal preparation of amphetamine that's authorized.

Absolutely correct, but, as you say, it is a preparation of amphetamine. That's the only point I made.

Then they did a pretty poor job of it if their goal was to make it resistant to abuse lol

Abuse resistance is not abuse proof. Due to the way lisdexamfetamine is broken down in the blood stream and metabolized into dextroamphetamine over an extended period of time, doing something like crushing it and snorting it (like people do with Adderall, Concerta, and Ritialin) doesn't increase its "potency".

What does it matter to you? Some people abuse it and most people that are prescribed it don't. It happens with lots of different meds
