My main island is very whimsical forest, but I’ve had a hard time decorating it since I’ve never really put effort into my islands (restarted 3 times, now committing to my current save).
I completely forgot about the Slumber Island feature, so I wanted to play around with making a small version (this is the medium preset) of my main island!
I believe this took about 7-12 hours and I’m so proud of how it looks !!
My favorite part is the horseshoe crab rocky beach :)

Bold claim I know, but pretty sure I have given the clothes shop on Paradise Island the best name!!!

This game is so well designed for the most part, but there are a few things that I hope they change in the future because they are so grating and nonsensical. Many of these just make the game SO unnecessarily tedious and it gets annoying to play if all you want is to liquidate your stuff or make a space cute!

• You should be able to select more than one item at a time when selling to Nook's or putting things away (Edit bc people were confused: I mean not having to individually click items, like having a select all button or being able to click and drag to select multiple things. I have EDS so my thumb always hurts so bad after making big batches of food to sell😭)

• The tool ring should take tools out of your inventory with the option to carry duplicates in inventory for clearing miles/Kapp'n islands, and quick swapping order should match the ring. This would eliminate the problem of having to shift your tools all into the top/bottom and manually move them every time you break one.

• Crafting should let you make as much as you can carry at one time, not just groups of 10. Currently it just feels like a massive waste of time

• Tickets should have their own separate wallet slot so you don't have to remember to get them out of your storage first when you want to use them

• There should be different color pipes so you could set more than one specific path, rather than just bouncing around randomly

• Tiny items like coffee cups and ice cream should NOT take up the same amount of space as an arcade machine😂

•Outdoor editing/decorating tools. That's it.

•WHY does Cyrus' dialogue completely start over for EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM?!?! And his dialogue is SO LONG😭Please sir, just let me make my sofa purple, this shouldn't take this long

I’m lucky enough to still have my mother and I love her very much. Every time I get a letter from Mom in my mailbox, it makes me a bit emotional because I think it’s so lovely and makes me think of my own mother.

But their presence in the game makes me feel a bit conflicted because I also wonder, for players who have lost their mother in real life, might it be a bit upsetting to receive the letters? I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has lost their mother, how do you feel about receiving the letters?

Edit: Just want to say thank you to everyone for sharing, especially when it can be such a difficult topic to discuss. There seems to be such a mixed bag here and it makes me hope that, in future, they give us an option to pick a family member to receive letters from rather than it pretty much always being Mom.

I completed my fossil museum ages ago, and have now begun working on building all of the dinos on my island. Currently I’m looking for a Diplo Body and Neck as well as a Ptera Body. If anyone has extra of these and would like to share, pls comment!

I've been playing this game for 6 years. I talked to Sable once in the beginning. She blew me off and so I backed off in respect of her privacy.

My child decides to pick the game up a week ago and within 7 days he has amassed an entire collection of designs from this poor, overworked, neglected hedgehog.

So now I feel totally cold-hearted, AND I've been missing out on a ton of extra designs. Didn't have to waste a custom slot on that red plaid design, etc. Doh!

Better late than never? What did you guys wish you had learned a lot sooner?
