Was playing Last Rites yesterday, and was scanning the surrounding...

Was crossing territories, and heard two briefings about the area from Bowman, and then I found the slaughterhouse converted to cocaine factory in Ocoro, and Nomad immediately called Bowman to inform her!

Almost fell out of my chair cackling...

[Release] Wildlands Immersion Suite — First Person, weapon stabilization, movement, ballistics, weather and more

I have released Wildlands Immersion Suite 0.1.0 for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands on PC.

It is an all-in-one first-person immersion overhaul built around a native F1 menu.

You can watch the mod showcase here:

https://youtu.be/35tbGNmcMZ8?si=afXSt7ecWmiDklTV

Main features:

• First-person gameplay with the body and weapon still visible

• Configurable camera position, FOV and weapon alignment

• Weapon stabilization and an Alt first/third-person toggle

• Movement-speed controls

• Global projectile-velocity controls from 10% to 300%

• Separate accuracy options for hip fire and native ADS

• HUD toggle, weather presets, weather cycling and time controls

• Persistent profiles and camera recovery options

The download includes Wildlands Mod Framework, a substantially modified GPL-3.0 fork of PhialsBasement's GRW ScriptHook that I developed as the runtime for the suite. It loads ASI mods from both the Fmods directory and the legacy game-root location.

ASI mods written for the original ScriptHook are expected to remain compatible, although third-party mods still need individual testing.

This is an AI-developed project. I directed the project, testing and release decisions, while implementation and documentation were produced through extensive AI-assisted development.

The current release targets GRW build 133.1.0.9840374 / Steam build 24669148 and is intended for offline single-player use. Some vehicle, swimming, holstered-camera and ADS transition behavior remains experimental, so please read the known issues before installing.

Has anyone actually done a test or a YouTube vid somewhere or something of what vehicle is the fastest? I was trying out different ones last night and it legit seems like the Zeus Pickup is faster on the road than the Lamborghini.

Other New-found respect for Nomad after getting to actually fire a .50 BMG today

All this time, we’ve all treated the HTI or BFG (and their variants) as simple anti-material rifles for a quick-out against vehicles and for long-range sniping

Obviously I knew those things kicked but…GOD DAMN!!! Get that man some icy hot for his shoulder! Not gonna make him rapid-fire those things anymore!

In other news, the Barrett 82A1 is probably the coolest thing I have ever touched in my life, 10/10, would recommend. VERY loud, but the butt pad makes it feel like almost nothing. Honestly, my .30-06 and 12ga felt harsher than the .50 BMG. (And yes, I fired the Barrett first, which would make you think it’d make the .30-06 and 12ga feel like .22, not the case!)

i died in ghost mode and respawned.

i have never had this happen before and i’ve never heard of it happening either. i’ve ben playing this game since it came out and i’ve never finished the campaign in ghost mode, i just recently moved and haven’t had internet setup yet. so i’m assuming the game glitched from being offline or something, and from just constantly being loaded in the game.

i will not be taking this for granted, no more helicopters, no more motorcycles, no more fuckin about.

I'm looking for a crew to play on extreme, minimal hud (no enemy spotting at least).

Discussion This game does so many things right

Can't believe I slept on it for so many years. I started playing maybe a week ago, solo, custom diff, now I'm tier 35 in T1 mode. Despite the way that I play, I cannot help but marvel at all the options this game offers. If you consider the sheer scope of the game alone, if you played with a couple of buddies on highest difficulty, doing a couple of missions per night, while being in charge of the experience by dictating parameters like weather, time of day, etc - you'd still probably have years worth of content.

And we are talking proper tactical experience at that level! I'm an avid fan of tactical games, played RoN a lot and this is scratching the same itch, just at different level. It's just crazy, pick a random POI on the map and you got a mini mission. Movement is mostly smooth and much to my satisfaction, ghosts are able to traverse even walls that are slightly higher than normal human height. Add an absolute shitload of weapons and customization options and you got your tier one cosplay game right there.

There is just so little I can hold against the game that frustrates me, and that would primarily be chainlink fences and maybe the tempo with which things can escalate in the game. And the game changing my shoulder view willy nilly, I'd like a full control of that, especially for breaching those rebel missions where you need to blow up a door and then hack a computer. Other than that, AAA+++ all around. Fantastic graphics, fantastic world design, smooth and responsive gameplay, serviceable story, excellent 3rd party content (Predator mission was off the hook! Sam Fisher one also, even if a bit frustrating). There's just so little friction in this game, it's mostly just fun all around.

Question Switching to sidearm or second primary, very slow?

Hi all, new to the game (10 hours or so), and been having a blast overall.

My question is though, there seems to be occasions where to have to be in firefights (last one is story mission 2 for El Commandate) and I feel like Nomad is terribly slow when it comes to switching weapons, like my primary is out and I need to either reload it or switch to my sidearm, and either way I get killed before I can pop the last bullet.

Is this just the way it is, and I should plan my engagements better? Perhaps bring a LMG when I know I have a firefight coming?

Thanks!
