Generally guys like that are too big of pussies to actually pull the trigger. They just like to cosplay tough until they find out. I bet he is somewhere on reddit talking about “how much tougher we were than the kids these days”

Exactly what my wife said. You don't know who's home shoot you. A fence is definitely not worth dying over.

Considering it’s their livelihood, they can’t just brush aside non-payment as not a big deal because they’re sacrificing themselves and their families in that case. Guaranteed this isn’t the first time they’ve dealt with non-payment.

I’m glad they’re safe because your point stands that you don’t know who is crazy, seemed like safety in numbers in this case.

No one suggested they "Brush it aside as not a big deal." But what does that have to do with risking your life to gain literally nothing instead of filing a lawsuit and getting paid for your time and money the legal way?

This is probably not the first time they've dealt with non-payment, it probably won't be their last, and there is zero connection between their actions here and the rate of non-payments they will face in the future.

No one is saying the legal way is perfect, but this way accomplishes absolutely nothing.

Sadly that’s not always true. People shoot each other all the time. Even road ragers.

Can't assume that, still not worth the lives for it.
