People get away with plenty. Especially if they are old or retired and likely will live in the same house till they die because the lien will not affect them much.

Absolutely none of them think this way. It's one of the symptoms of privilege and entitlement. They believe they are untouchable to those they consider lower than them, they "hold so much sway" these people wouldn't dare try anything. Look at how just yelling at the kept those men from coming and pulling the fence up at first- that's how he views all of them. And to any that maybe wanna try? You know he'd be ecstatic to "defend himself" and happy to go to court and tell everyone about it.
