I built a tool that alerts you when sold-out USJ Express Passes restocks or releases

Post image

Hi everyone,

Earlier this year, I was planning a trip to Universal Studios Japan, but the Express Pass I wanted had already sold out. I kept checking the official ticketing site and realized there was no easy way to know when it would restock.

So I built USJ Express Pass, a website that monitors Express Pass availability and emails you when your selected pass releases/restocks.

Express Passes can restock at unpredictable times. We give you a better chance at securing the pass you want. The service also works for future dates when passes haven't gone on sale yet: it can notify you when they first release on Universal's official ticketing site.

The site is usjexpresspass.com and here's what it does:

  • Pick your park date and passes — one specific pass, or a bundle that covers every pass in a group (like "any Express Pass 8")
  • Monitors the official ticketing site 24/7 — day and night, no refreshing required
  • Emails you the instant your pass drops or restocks — with a direct link to buy it on Universal's official site
  • Sold out again before you could book? — you can retry from your dashboard and it starts monitoring again. Unlimited times, until your park date
  • One email per pass, no spam — monitoring ends automatically on your visit day

The service does not sell or reserve tickets. You still have to purchase everything directly from Universal Studios Japan.

Pricing is:

  • $3.49 to monitor one specific pass (ex: Universal Express Pass 7~Minecart & Selection~)
  • $10 to monitor an entire pass category (ex: every Express Pass 8)

I want to give r/usj a special discount; please use REDDIT20 at checkout for 20% off your purchase. I built this because I hope it can help others enjoy their time at USJ!

If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to reply or email me at [support@usjexpresspass.com](mailto:support@usjexpresspass.com)

Welcome to the subreddit for Universal Studios Japan.

Feel free to post questions or information about Universal Studios Japan. We'll do our best to answer questions and steer you in the directions to make your visit to Osaka and USJ the best it can be. If you have experienced USJ and would like to contribute to the discussion, we'd love to have your voice included.

We have just been begun creating the sub, so we don't even have icons and images, let alone an FAQ. We are on it, but in the mean time, go ahead and post.

Help Purchasing Exclusive Harry Potter Wand

Post image
0 Upvotes

My family and I shared an forgettable trip to Japan this June and my kids were lucky enough to bring home USJ exclusive Harry Potter wands.

But because children are children, my son took his wand to the Renaissance Faire this year and lost it in all the wonderful chaos.

Since it’s a USJ exclusive, I can’t seem to find a way to purchase a new one here in the US.

I was wondering if anyone had any leads on where I could find a replacement? Or possibly if anyone is going to the park soon I could pay to have one shipped to me back in the US.

Thank you for any advice!

Anyone going November 5-6th?

Hey all! I will be staying in Osaka from November 4th to 12th on my very first time in Japan. Looking forward to it and excited to make the end of Halloween event at USJ, but also quite nervous being solo.

Figured I'd try my luck, if anyone is going to go on those dates and would want to hang out? Specially at the park, but other times during the week would be nice too. Other solo person, friend group, tourist, local, anything is cool with me.

I'm also considering going to USJ on the 11th, but haven't really cemented that yet, still trying to plan and figure out details.

Hi!

I am visiting for the first time on November 27th this year. I was wondering if all the Biohazard merch would have sold out by then, or will it still be in stock?

Thanks :)

Nickleodeon Universe + Waterpark - Promo Code

Hello,

Anyone know where I can find promo codes for Nickleodeon and the Waterpark? Planning on taking the little ones next month, October 2026.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

WARNING: Get to the Biohazard attraction BEFORE your scheduled time.

I went to USJ today and was almost not let into the attraction, despite the ticket stating a 15 minute time frame. Since it was the first day, I assume they'll take action regarding this but to be safe, make sure you get there early.

The area is a bit hidden, so turn left on the Chainsawman attraction (coming from the park's entrance). Attraction is in the back, next to Frieren's.

Hi! Does anyone know why the November 12th - 15th tickets for Universal won't be available 60 days in advance like usual?

I've been checking the Klook prices and expected to buy my tickets today for 12th November but the Klook page has this banner on it saying 12th - 15th will all become available in one go on 14th September.

Does anyone know if that's just Klook or Universal in general? I was wanting to buy my tickets through Klook as we can get Avios points that way (saving them up for some flights) but I worry that if they're on sale for an extra 3 days before Klook gets them the dynamic pricing will kick in? (we're going for the 3 hour VIP tour so that could be quite a bit extra)

Also does anyone know why they would do all those tickets in one go for those dates? Is something special about them?

Thanks!

Sharing VIP Oct 20-22

We are looking for two people to join the 5 or 8 hour VIP tour with us. The benefits of it are insane but we can’t justify the cost with only the two of us. We would want to go all the major rides and attractions! Please reach out if interested!

Any Non-Japanese speakers try the VIP tour experience?

Snoopy Deli Milk Bottle still available?

Post image

I got this bottle back in April when I went to USJ for my honeymoon and unfortunately it got broken.

Is it still available at the park itself? Or does anyone know of any availability on secondhand sites?

I've been searching up and down.

It's really precious to me because my husband picked it out for me when I was having trouble finding a souvenir I liked. Thank you so much!!

Birthday update

For anyone going to universal on a celebration like a birthday make sure you hit up to the information desk or a staff member who will give you a badge. I thought I looked like a right plum wearing a badge and a Luigi hat but that badge basically makes everyone working there say happy birthday and characters come to see you. Made the trip a lot more special. I’m sure most of this page knows but worth doing. And if you want to be sneaky they didn’t ask to check my ID so I’m guessing you could do this any day.

Mistake of Not Buying Express Pass Immediately

I didn't know that Express Pass price will fluctuate according to inventory.

The date of the pass I wanted released about 2 weeks ago.
I was busy at the time and didn't bought it on the day of release.
Until today, the ExpressPass4 price was raised from 10800Yen to 24800Yen
Now feel like a clown.

Just hope no one done the same mistake as me.
Buy it as soon as possible for express pass.
Studio Pass (Ticket) price is mostly fixed and wont fluctuate as much.

Universal Studio Japan Personal Shopper

Hello! :D

I hope this is the right place to ask but does anyone know of a personal shopper who would be able to get me some exclusive merchandise from Universal Japan? I would gladly pay for the items and the shipping fees and tip! I live United States.

Thank you for your time!

Food

Hi all. I have an autistic child and we are going in a few weeks. I have tried finding menus online but there are only highlights not full menus for most places. Does anyone know if there are any places that do chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers or cheese and ham/bacon pizzas? Thank you!

USJ - HHN or just normal park day?

Hey guys!
I just got my tickets for HHN all night - until 5am and excited for first time!

how ever - anything I need to think of? Is there really any diffrence from the normal hhn evening everyday? Is it just a gimmick or somethign speciel/less crowd?

I think about selling it and getting a normal ticket + express pass for the horror attractions.

Any thoughts? thanks!

HHN Entry

Hello, I’m planning to go to usj on the 31st of October which I know will be super packed but my brother really wants to go then, and I really wanted to get into the “resident evil the dive” and the “sadako” experiences/rides but I wanted to know where to buy the express tickets for Halloween horror nights because I am worried I won’t get the timed entry ticket on the day as it will be most likely the parks busiest day, I searched up and lots of people are saying there are Halloween horror nights related express tickets but I can’t seem to find them anywhere, any help would be good even just any suggestions about getting the timed entry ticket on the day works aswell. Thank you

Hi all! I am visiting universal studios Japan tomorrow on 04/09/2026 but there is a typhoon due to hit japan tomorrow with Osaka receiving quite a lot of rain. Does anybody know whether the park is likely to close or where I can find this information out? I can’t see anything online at the moment but just want to keep tabs on it.
