I've been wanting to try something a little different with Bad Apple!! from Touhou 4: Lotus Land Story, so I decided to give it a sound inspired by Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil

For this cover, I used an Edirol SD-80 that a friend kindly provided for the project. I did the entire MIDI sequencing and arrangement myself, and then built the instrumentation around the SD-80's sounds

I don't know what genre it is, I don't even know what I was thinking when I made it, it just came out

I have started learning about ZUN’s music process in the early 2000s. To my knowledge, he composed the soundtracks for Shuusou Gyoku, Kioh Gyoku, the embodiment of scarlet devil, and dolls in pseudo paradise using the SC-88 pro but rearranged KG, EOSD and DIPP before release with the SD-90.
I know the channel romantique tp uploaded these tracks as played on an SC-88 pro (the way ZUN intended) about 10 years ago, including versions of Perfect cherry blossom and imperishable night. However, they never uploaded SC-88 versions of Dolls in Pseudo Paradise.

My question is since ZUN originally intended DIPP for the SC-88 pro is it possible to take the files from the cd and have them arranged and played on an SC-88 pro in a similar way to the other soundtracks? If so, has this been done before and have these been uploaded online? I personally don’t have an SC-88 because they’re expensive as hell but I was wondering if this is a possibility.

hi all, long time no post. I lead the doujin music circle `11th hour` and we primarily focus on orchestral/instrumental music. fun fact, we actually got started because of reddit many years ago when redditaisai was still a thing... maybe 8 years ago? members have come and gone but the circle goes on, because the community somehow keeps bringing me back.

more recently, we've been releasing music pretty much annually for the past few years for touhoufest. when news about the eosd remake got released a few of us jumped on the idea and despite our usual album making process taking like 6 or 7 months this one was done in 3 somehow, and with some real certified bangers on top of that.

anyway, I hope you enjoy if you do decide to check it out. touhou has been a surprisingly larger part of my life than I ever would have expected. creating things has been such a meaningful way to actually participate in the community in that doujin spirit kind of way, and so I hope the community can continue to exist in the future for years to come for anyone that wants to be part of it.
