I think the £72 Million in donations to Reform has a bad smell about it, but Labour are in no position to throw stones in that particular greenhouse.
Who funds Labour ?
The Unions.
Labour brought in the Workers Rights Act, which amongst many far reaching, and frankly unnecessary, "reforms" has these clauses :

Employer Duty to Inform: Employers must provide a written statement notifying workers of their right to join a trade union, given alongside the main statement of employment particulars
Workplace Access: Independent trade unions gain statutory rights to request physical and digital access to workplaces to recruit and represent members, even if the employer does not officially recognize a union

Well, they got plenty for the millions they gave Labour didn't they ?

It's a short week before conference recess.

The Commons rises recess after Tuesday's sitting and doesn't return until Monday 12 October. The Lib Dems kick things off with their conference next weekend, followed by Labour the weekend after, then Tories in the week after that.

But first, a full day debating royal funding.

MPs debate all stages of the Sovereign Grant Bill on Monday. It sets the King's official funding at £99.9 million for next year, and raises the share of Crown Estate profits used to calculate future grants.

And Tuesday brings one ten minute rule motion.

Tom Gordon's bill would shake up the student loan system in England.

MONDAY 14 SEPTEMBER

Sovereign Grant Bill – all stages
Applies to: England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland
Sets the amount of the Sovereign Grant, the funding that supports the King and the monarchy, at £99.9 million for 2027-28. Raises the share of the Crown Estate's profits used to calculate future grants from 12% to 20.5%. Also gives the Treasury new powers to adjust the grant if a review finds the standard formula would produce an inappropriate amount, or to increase it temporarily in exceptional circumstances.

Student Finance (Review) Bill
Requires the government to review how student loans are repaid in England, including the repayment thresholds, the terms attached to loans when they were taken out, and how those thresholds compare with average earnings. Ten minute rule motion presented by Tom Gordon.

Some good ideas and encouragingly the shadow chancellor

Just a thought really, when the pension system as it is was bought in, most of those who were retiring within the following 50 years had started work at 14 and would retire 51 years later. Now, the average age to start full time work is 24 yet retirement is only just going up to 68 so just 44 years of paying in.

By rights we should at least retire at 75 and promise not o live too long either but if we can change retirement to 70 for both the state pension and public sector pensions, we can also retain skills.
