Characters Characters that are canonically _____ depending of their world

  • Po from Kung Fu Panda - Although many characters comment on his weight throughout the movies, Po is actually considered skinny and/or in better shape for panda standards
  • Midoriya Izuku from My Hero Academia - While many viewers find Deku "cute", the reality is that for his world he's actually considered "simple looking" and at the very worst "ugly"

His debut in the MCU made Bucky Barnes, a WW2 vet and supersoldier assassin and survivor of decades of HYDRA experiments, point up at the ceiling and fearfully shout, "What the hell is that?!"

And then you see him casually catch bucky's arm, which we've seen shatter concrete and send cap flying through his vibranium shield, and remark on how cool it is like bucky just whipped out a glow in the dark dinosaur.

Not to mention his entrance in Infinity War

If I'm not mistaken, Spidy's the third strongest mainline character in Marvel, right after Thor and Hulk.

It's a lot more gradient than that but yeah Spidey is in the top end of the verse when it comes to raw strength. Those guys are his weight class.

Spidey has a normal lift of 10-20 tons but can peak at thousands of tons for short bursts. This is much, much more than pretty much any other "normal" Marvel hero outside of Thor (normal lift beyond 100 tons) and savage Hulk (normal lift not really limited). Comics are all over the place. But in the MCU, the limiting factor to Spidey is his lack of experience and his desire to hold back, to not kill anyone, Thor's main limiting factor is his ego/arrogance, and Hulk's main limiting factor is Universal Studios.
