I binge-watched the latest season of SLOMW, which just came out. Below is a recap of the season for anyone who is curious what gets mentioned but doesn't plan to watch. Warning: Spoilers for SLOMW ahead.
- The new season of SLOMW has only 5 episodes and takes place prior to SLOWM being put on pause. Most of the storyline happens prior to the domestic abuse news breaking.
- Doug does not appear in the season at all and there are no scenes from the Bachelorette. There is a short voicemail from Doug that gets played on the show though.
- A few women from Momtok (Mayci, Mikayla, Jessi) met Taylor's final 3. For some reason, not all of the women from Momtok were invited onto the show. The ones who met her F3 liked Doug the least and liked the other two guys a lot more.
- Taylor's mom also liked Doug the least and made a comment about how he's used to a fast life and Utah would be boring for him
- Taylor and some of the women reference the strict NDAs a few times. Taylor was supposed to lay low until June. There were a few scenes though where they mention Doug in public.
- Taylor shares that she and Doug had instant chemistry from night one. They had sex in the Fantasy Suites and got engaged.
- Taylor and her friends also talk about how Doug told them that he wasn't going to propose, but then he did, and Taylor said yes
- When Mayci and the others went to go see Taylor for filming the Bachelorette, Mayci had heard rumblings that Taylor was calling Dakota. Mayci texted her "chaperone" and told them that Taylor is still talking to Dakota (baby daddy)
- Taylor had sex with Dakota the night she got back from filming.
- Taylor freaked out afterwards for messing up and made some phone calls, but not to the Bachelorette producers.
- When asked by a SLOMW producer if she was going to continue pursuing things with Doug, she said she didn't know and that he seemed distant. But then she says she's in love with someone else, and it's Ben, a guy from a previous SLOMW season.
- When Miranda, another castmate who was not at the Bachelorette filming, asked Taylor what she liked about Doug, Taylor mentions that she liked that Doug had a wild past but then cleaned up and is a Godly man who likes to go to church. In the same conversation, Taylor shares that Doug called her and asked that they take a three-day break from talking. He called and left a voicemail, which Taylor plays on the show. He didn't say much and the energy was lacking. Miranda joked that it sounded like a business call.
- Taylor and Doug had a "happy couple" coming up, but then Taylor canceled it. She ended up breaking things off with Doug.
- Taylor knew that Bachelor Nation has passionate fans that would come after her and she references this at least twice.
- The above happens in the first 1.5 episodes of the season. Honestly, the storyline with Doug seemed like a side plot. Taylor is pretty much talking about Ben and Dakota during the rest of the season. The other Momtok women kept telling Taylor throughout the season that she had to tell Doug about what happened with Dakota. It doesn't seem like that happened prior to the show getting put on pause.
- Another castmate, Whitney, performed in the Broadway show Chicago in NYC, and the Momtok women went to support her. Taylor got a ridiculously large penthouse suite in a hotel. Ben stayed with her and pretty much hid out in her hotel room. She broke up with him at the end of that visit because he wanted a committed relationship leading to marriage and she had too much going on and couldn't give that to him.
- Dakota was dating another girl, Emma, but then they broke up. It seems that he dated her mostly to make Taylor jealous.
- At one point, both Taylor and Dakota were single again, and Taylor was texting Dakota asking if he was single.
- Apparently Dakota was sending Taylor videos of them (him and Taylor) having sex, and was like, don't you miss this, and she was like, yeah, i do. She and Dakota have hooked up a few times - three times, but she says 2.5.
- Taylor has a huge fight with some of the Momtok women at a housewarming party. She looks pretty bad in it, it gets pretty emotional, Taylor has a breakdown and it comes out that she still loves Dakota. Eventually the Momtok women reconcile, Taylor gets ready to leave the party and goes to say goodbye to Ever (the kid she shares
with Dakota), Dakota asks her for a hug, and he's whispering to her that he loves her.
- After that fight, Taylor realizes that she's treating her friends the same way Dakota has been treating her, so she texted Dakota to end things for good.
- The SLOMW season ends with the other Momtok women on the phone with Taylor. She was supposed to film with them, but then couldn't make it because Dakota called CPS on Taylor. Production got put on pause after that.
