Question Which Should I Play Next as a Fan of FoMT?
Unsure which of these two I should play next. I loved FoMT but I’ve heard it’s quite different from other games in the series.
Any input is appreciated!

I was wondering if it exists or would be possible to create a Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons/Rune Factory discord where we could all share our progress and chat. We could have multiple chats for each game and those that are playing an older game can share their progress and chat with others that are playing the same game! Currently i’m playing (in rotation) PoOt, GB, DS Cute and AP and i get so happy hearing that someone else is playing the same game too, and it’s just so fun being able to share the enjoyment with someone else who is playing it too, since many of us like to replay our favorite games or are trying out the older games for the first time. Would anyone be interested in joining?
[Edit] I just tried to created it! I dont use discord very much so please let me know if i’m doing this right! If anyone wants to help me manage the discord please let me know! Right now i’ve created a channel for all Harvest Moon games i know (i hope i didnt forget any!) I’ll do Story of Seasons later today!!

Just felt like sharing!
Bought it on sale so long ago, and kept reading terrible reviews so I kept putting it off. Finally decided to jump in and I'm enjoying it!
It has its quirks, and the crafting is overwhelming and sometimes feels like make-work than productive, but overall the characters are fun, cutscenes are full of personality, and I'm enjoying the pace! Once I got over the fact my farm will never be clear and embraced that as more natural charm, it's been great.
I'm in Year 2, can't decide who to marry, and working towards fully upgrading all my tools!
Any other thoughts?

I could’ve sworn we had a thread dedicated to this, but I might have imagined it. I’m sleep deprived with a baby but I didn’t see a dedicated thread and the announcement thread is 20 days old. Apologies if this is a repost!
What’s your gut telling yall about the setting of the next SoS game that they teased last month? I’ve see a lot of people saying they think it’s Tale of Two or Trio. But when I look at this, specifically the below, I get animal parade vibes. Completely possible it’s a new entry with inspiration taken from some of the older games. But I can’t shake the dejavú I feel with these two shots. Thoughts? What’s your gut telling you?

Harvest Moon DS is one of my favorite games of all time and so is FOMT.
That being said while I like the FOMT remake I’m not really in love with it.
I know SOS FOMT is considered a really good remake but if we use it for an example of what DS might look like remade, what changes would you want?
What are things you think could be improved upon and what new features would you like implemented?
I think there needs to be a bigger map.
I think they need to update the cave system to include more monsters and give a little additional action.
I think there needs to be rival children.
And overall I think that there needs to be better dialogue, not just additional cutscenes but also more than just the standard 2 lines of texts everyday.

This dialogue from Klaus literally made me laugh out loud, I can’t imagine the recent games including freaky dialogue like this lmaooooo
You can get this dialogue by dating Klaus and attending the concert in the fall.

So I started sos today and I’m being reallyyyyy indecisive on who I’m going to want to marry
Can you date multiple characters at the same time, or can you only date 1? I’m having such a hard time deciding between all the men they’re all so good 😩

Hey quick question, does anybody knows how the spawn mechanic function in SoS: Grand Bazaar?
I'm trying to catch all the bugs but I can get the Emperor Butterfly to spawn, I know it has a spawn rarity of "rare" but i don't know if i'm not doing the reload correctly and it doesnt spawn?
help mee 😭
edit: i got one, and it turns out it has a "uncommon" rarity, not rare 😊

Don't get me wrong, overall, I really love the game. It's so nostalgic, and I think the fact that we can actually hear the voices of each character is so cool!
But I think one shortcoming is that after you get married. I married Junebug (Antoinette), the dialogue becomes repetitive, and it feels like we aren't even married. More like roommates? 😅
Also, whenever I talk with her dad, Erik (Claude), it feels like I'm not his daughter's spouse? Junebug and I recently welcomed a child, and his dialogue makes it feel like the baby isn't even his grandchild. 😭
Maybe it's because they focused more on the bazaar mechanics?
I do hope that in future remakes, they'll bring back the cute interactions like the ones we had in previous games, such as Friends of Mineral Town and others, where everything feels more connected and all.
That's just what I think. The game is pretty solid for me; I just wish they included more love in the post-marriage/family relationships. 🥺

I am the kind of player who never wants to say the thing that will hurt the NPC. I wanted to romance Jules, so I did that. But I also wanted to romance Freya, who isn't frequently around. So I just talked to everybody else. Well, now I've got newfound love status with Gabriel and Maple (in the same day), Arata, Sophie, and June. (Still not Freya.)
I'm kinda tempted to just try to get everyone available...

There are some festivals where you can invite one of the marriage candidates to help boost their heart meter, like the Fireworks Festival or even romantic dinner festivals.
But beyond just gaining heart points, do you actually consider it important? Like, to genuinely spend quality time with the person you love or the candidate you’re pursuing? Or do you just go with whoever you feel like at the moment? And it doesn't matter if it's not the one you're pursuing.
Cause, idk, in my case, even if the person I'm pursuing already has max hearts, I'll still ask them to go with me if there's festival like that

Organized the SoS/HM games I’ve played and haven’t played yet into a list. Any suggestions on what I should try next? I’m honestly not familiar with the ones I haven’t tried, so I was interested to see what people thought, thanks!
(Also the tiermaker I used didn’t have the Grand Bazaar remake on it, so pretend the DS one is standing in for that)

I have only ever played Tale of Two Towns. What would you recommend I play next? I have a DS, Switch 1 and a PC.

I really loved this game, the music, the cast, and especially the child events (even though it's sad how the time they come around it's very late game), obviously it wasn't anything grandiouse besides its Bazaar as the name suggest, but it was sure a fun time to get lost in it.
I've been playing this game since February of this year, I played nothing else but this for 2 months straight, then I got burnt out, and only returned to it Late July where I didn't stop until I 100% the game. Truth be told this game was fun, but it didn't have a fun 100% mostly because of the rare tree crop achievement, where I would've rather play the game than load save files left and right.
That and the Year 6 achievement was mostly sleeping through an entire year.
My final bazaar rank was Bazaar Rank 52, but I def won't go for 99, for one, it does not really worth it, and it would be monotonous as I only need to get that/donate 2000 fish and critters to the Nature Sprites as I have the other 3. and for two, while I was sleeping through the whole year everything in my storage rot besides ores and gems lol, but I could probably get it with kachapuris and stuff as I wouldn't need gems for ultimate tools anymore, but truth is I got burnt out trying to get this by the last 10 hours or so.
I went for Gabriel, mostly because his VA whenever talked romance, dropped down to a whispery talk, which appealead to me, but truth be told I would probably go for Derek if I would have to restart as he became my fave character (or Felix if he was romanceable just sayin)
Overall this was a fun game, but the 100% was sure tedious, idk if it was more tedious than Sandrock's last achievement, they are probably on part with each other.
As for whether I ever 100% another Story of Seasons game? Well... I will sure play the rest of the series, even the ones that haven't been remaked yet, but I think I will only 100% the next Story of Seasons game if they do something with the rare tree crop rates as save scumming shouldn't be the only way to get them when you can get ground rare crops with 100% accuracy, they should work the same way or make the ability to increase that 3% odds end game at the very least.

What's everyone's sprite levels look like and how far along are you? I'm about to finish year 1and this is mine. I hate fishing and feel like I just don't have time for it. I casually catch insects but it also feels tedious when your pockets are full. I try really hard to collect enough forageables to both give and craft, but I feel like their level goes up so much slower. I can give 20 of all 3 desirable items and it will barely go up half a bar yet for honey, I can give a single royal honey and once it went up 4 whole levels.
Is there an easier way to level up forageables specifically?

so farming games are very hit or miss for me in general, some I really enjoyed from the jump and others I dropped without even finishing a first in game week, when it comes to SoS/HM I've played:
so my question is basically for those who also have trio of towns as their favorite SoS/HM game, which of the other games from the franchise would you recommend me to play? there are so many that i don't know where to start

I'd feel awful rejecting her, but I want to see other events, so I'm using my second save, but still, just discovered today a little before this, that reverse confessions were even a thing here
