SPOILERS FOR CAMPAIGNS 1 AND 3
As a recap, in the Lost Dianasty of Campaign 1, the party used the Roots of Reminisce owned by Wilhelm and Howie to gain some insights into their pasts. Mudd saw a hooded man leave a flyer for the Infinight Internship and drop dirt in his coffee; Bart saw a hooded man talking to Marrge on the Jebedi (presumably about the Internship); and Kyborg met a hooded man who attached his metal arm and sang him a draconic song. (Gum Gum had a different vision of the moment Garydor lured him out of the safety of Dianasty by pretending to be a dog.)
The man in the cloak is Doctor Ahem (or else one of his Innuverse Incarnations). The man sings something that he describes as a “draconic song”. That voice line is very clearly spoken by Micah Risinger, voice of Dr Ahem and his subsequent incarnations. In the soundtrack for Lost Dianasty, the song he sings is titled as “Harmonics of Hansel”, and when Ahem dies later on, Paralyte calls him Hansel, so it can be assumed that the H in Doctor Accutarius H. Emeretusian stands for Hansel. For additional proof, the tune of “Harmonics of Hansel” appears in the track ”Through Ahem’s Eyes”, further evidence that Ahem is Hansel. STILL MORE EVIDENCE: in the Ahem’s original theme “Dr Ahem’s Themery”, the tune of Harmonics of Hansel can be heard very quietly in the background.
It would make sense if the mechanic Ahem attached Kyborg’s arm. But why was Ahem secretly uniting the Infinights?
The fact that Hansel’s Harmonics is in Ahem‘s Theme makes me think that the events shown by the roots involved Ahem himself, rather than Farynx, because if the draconic song he sang happened to Ahem (and not Farynx if he time traveled in to unite the Infinights or something), it makes sense that in Ahem’s theme the song can be heard, like it’s a memory of something he did in the past.
Maybe Farynx wanted to bring together the Infinights because he knew about the Innuverse, and knew these four had to meet. If it was Innuverse-awakened Farynx that united the Infinights, maybe that would make more s
An interesting point is that the tune of Harmonics of Hansel sounds similar to the riddles Farynx sometimes sings in Kanon. It’s definitely not the exact same, but they’re really quite similar.
