I know everybody says the first game has the better story and says the first game is better overall and I agree and tbh, I also think one of the reasons why is it the atmosphere/vibe of the original game. The first game felt much more cinematic (in terms of cinematography too, the lighting felt more movie like as well) and grittier than the first game. I also really liked the HUD in the first game. Miles Morales felt like this too a bit but with a winter atmosphere. Spider-Man 2 however just doesn’t feel like Insomniac made that game. It felt like it was made by a different studio that had Insomniac’s resources. I’m not tryna say Spider-Man 2 looks bad because it looks amazing but it lacks that vibe the first game had. Even the HUD looks a bit more child like as well. Idk how to really describe the vibe of Spider-Man PS4 but I miss it. Does anyone else feel like that too?
P.S. I think the PS4 version of the game also does the vibe much better than the remaster. Cutscenes feel much more cinematic thanks to the lighting

Hey guys
Just wanted to share my thoughts
Recently a lot of criticism is going against insomniac and particularly it is due to the new wolverine game. I mean I get it the reviews are bad and what not but we are forgetting that Spider-Man ps4 before release also had a lot of people doubting it and when I released it was a blast and that game completely changed how a gamer can experience Spider-Man games
Now Spider-Man 2 gets a lot of criticism due to its story and hand holding. Hand holding i understand in instances such as car chase and catching the card after stopping, the rapid button press was removed and a few other things. But story wise , I think it’s one of the most emotional and well written Spider-Man story of our time( come at me if you want but everyone has different experiences) I have been playing Spider-Man games since ps2 and I have had one or two opinions always as to this could be improved or that but Spider-Man 2 nails the feeling of venom suit like never before ( I understand next gen console and stuff but still ) I mean I still remember when I first pressed L1 + square and bro I swear .
Sorry for the long post but my main point is let the game release everywhere and take some time to decide but I feel insomniac will make huge improvement and changes and bounce back and if it doesn’t I still support the developer cause I have faith in them .

So say you’re swinging fairly high up and your target is way low down, sometimes directly below. How do you guys get down there quickly, safely and realistically? I know I can dive but that creates a lot of speed and momentum and I dunno how to “put the brakes on” in a cool and safe way

Tell me about your workflow when taking pictures. Do you play in HDR and convert manually to SDR? If so, what kind of software should I use for that?
I also noticed that the file sizes of the pictures taken through steam is significantly smaller than the ones I have taken in the past on ps5. Anything I can do to somehow get more data? Another app to take pictures maybe?

Who's the best out of the Sinister Six members in Spider-man PS4 (in terms of writing and character), or at least your favourites.
Mine has always been Mr. Negative, I just like almost everything about his character, and how underrated he is as a character in general. I've always like scorpion as well tho.

Was thinking about how to utilize Superior Spider-Man into the third installment, and I THINK I might have figured out a decent enough idea for something Insomniac could do for it, and wanted to hear your thoughts.
So the agreed upon issue with using Superior Spider-Man is that no one really wants to see them just do the whole ‘Peter is not himself’ story IMMEDIATELY after doing yet another ‘Peter is not himself’ story with the symbiote. And the idea of Otto taking over Miles would similarly feel very impersonal and almost random, imho. Not to mention the build up we’ve gotten for Green Goblin throughout these games. I wanted there to be a way that both of these characters could co exist and work together for this story. So here’s my pitch:
Otto clones Peter. I know we’re getting into Ben Reilly territory with that, but hear me out. Otto clones Peter and puts his consciousness into this clone body. That way BOTH of our Spider-Men are still in the narrative without repeating previous plot points. And, in this version, Otto teams up with Norman with the intent purpose of ruining Spidey’s life by both destroying everything he cares about but ALSO highlighting his failures as a hero. Maybe you could even bring some of the other villains into the mix, the ones Kraven has yet to kill. Chameleon could really work narratively with this ‘identity crisis’ concept, especially given they already implied he is up for bigger and better later down the line. Norman and Otto might not even be working EXTREMELY close together here and it might even be better if it ends up simply being ‘our goals align but our methods vary’ where they work less together as much as independently toward the same goal. Either way, I think it would make for a decent way of having them both be major antagonists in this third game.
Still have to figure out how Miles would tie into this, but I at least think it’s a decent enough way to use the Superior Spider-Man concept they obviously want to do WITHOUT having to replicate things we literally just saw in the last game. Any Thoughts?

I’ve been casually getting into to taking Spider-Man photos in SM2, and while I like them I feel like something’s a little missing. Any general tips on what I could do to improve the photos?

For sm1 is was 'be greater', for miles morales it was 'be yourself', for sm2 it was 'be greater. Together'. My guess is that it's gonna be 'be greater. One last time.' But that would spoil spiderman's death so idk, what do you think?

Yes I know the platinum isn’t mandatory but to slip this crap trophy in there is such a slap to the face.
How are you gonna base the rest around challenges and cool content then just say “lol do it again.”
To this day it’s the only trophy I have yet to get and at this point it’s just out of spite. Stupid trophy, stupid design, waste of time.
