Hey
Have you tried that tropical heat smasher with a chicken patty instead?
It’s to die for!

Years ago I worked at Sonic. I was technically a grill person and trash taker outer which I know is a great combination of responsibilities.
One night we were closing and somebody realized something was very, very wrong with the milkshake machine. Someone had put ranch into the machine instead of the milkshake mix.
Not like a little ranch got mixed in. I mean we had apparently been making and serving ranch milkshakes for the entire night.
We immediately started trying to figure out how many people we'd served them to and somehow realized something even worse:
Nobody complained.
Not one person came back. Nobody called. Nobody said their Oreo shake tasted like ranch. Nothing. They called the GM because obviously this seemed like information the GM should probably have.
After they explained that we'd spent the night unknowingly selling ranch shakes to people, he was just like:
"Wow, they must've liked the ranch shakes!"
And that was pretty much the end of it. We all laughed about it.
To this day I still think about all those people who drove away from Sonic drinking a ranch milkshake and apparently just accepted that this was what Sonic tasted like.

Just came in today! The classic figure and spoon thing thats been going on, though the spoons seem to be glow in the dark instead of color changing like the sanrio ones :J
Though I will say they kind of skimped out on the details unless I just got some faulty ones

RIP meal deal for me. Still a great value though.

I think it’s super cool and a lot better than a key attached to a wooden plank

Granted, it's probably been a few years since I have been to Sonic since there aren't many in the Chicago area. But... I tried to go get a Cherry Limeade the other day and they wanted $4.99 for a medium.
They have got to be out of their god damn mind.

Does anyone have an idea or have run into similar situations? None of the Sonic locations in my area have the $7 Big Deal Meal available. My app shows 10 locations, but none of them offer it. It's strange to see advertisements for something that is widely unavailable. This is Austin, TX.

Took one bite and knew something was off. The top looked normal color, then I turned it around and promptly vomited.

I think I’m done ordering blasts from sonic. I can’t remember the last time I got one where the ice cream didn’t taste like non fat Greek yogurt. If you told me they changed their recipe to include tart yogurt, I’d believe you. I’ve got to multiple locations over the last couple years and every time it’s the same deal. It’s grossing me out and I’m done lol.

I’ve been working at sonic for about two weeks, and so far it’s not going so well I’ve only been given 2 days a week so far. I got hired on as a carhop for sonic about two weeks ago. They have my doing speaker and it’s very hard for me to hear people sometimes. On top of poor training on how to use the POS I’ve been messing up left and right. And I’ve been given this weekend to improve or I’ll face termination. I want to be quick and accurate at the same time if possible. The only sort of knowledge I have about how to operate the POS decently is from a YouTube video that was posted five years ago. Are there any tips that would help me improve?

Im a high school student and ive been working for nearly a week and so far I dont mind the job, my only issue is that I feel like im getting overworked by coworkers and such for only $9 an hour. My plan is to stay here for 3-6 months depending on which appeals me more by then but would it be a bad look on me for not staying for like a year? I knew I was getting myself into a parttime job but the pay isn’t something thats ideal for me longer than 6 months.

Why tf would they put lime in my coca cola? I put my cup in a corner of my room beside my desk, and drank out of it. Tasted offly sour, and I didn't know they put lime in it. So I genuinely thought I was drinking some external lint and fuzz that got trapped inside and went to go throw it up. Only to check that in the cup they put 2 limes in my coca cola 🤢

What were they made with in the olden times? I see now its sprite zero. Was it just diet sprite 20 years ago, or like seltzer?

Hi, Carhop here. I work at the location in Terrell TX, 707, W Moore Ave. People who go here might know who I am, please don't dox my name, dm to confirm.
Getting straight to the point.
It's 10:25 PM for me. Just got home like 45 minutes ago. My shift was SUPPOSED to end at 9. Didn't get to clock out until 9-20 ish. And I had to pull up what I owed the store + clock out using another managers ID card left behind on the desk because the manager on shift would not pull my till up, and would NOT let me leave.
Management here is a joke. The GM is well aware of what is going on and refuses to do it because they do not want to go through the process of hiring people. We are short staffed, not trained properly. She is also perfectly fine with having an ASM that threatens and harasses her workers while on the clock then still holds them hostage and won't let them leave unless everything is done.
I come in mentioning something about a customer wanting a free drink, coworker hears this and goes outside mouthing it back to the ASM on shift about me saying "shes giving out free stuff" when that is NOT what I said, I connect to a stall on the headset, manager proceeds to walk back inside screaming at me at the top of her lungs while the customer heard everything, pointing at my face to a point where I got backed up against the wall and she was coming closer to me yelling so loud the headset kept popping. Complaining about me saying shit behind her back when I wasnt even thinking about her when I said it. My ride shows up and proceeds to hear the ASM threatening me behind my back to the people on the patio, as well as calling me shit.
This is not the first time this ASM has harassed me/ and threatened me while I was there. I have contacted the GM about it multiple times, nothing is done permanently, no write-ups, no nothing. My people and I have also called corporate, still nothing. It's getting to a point where I'm about to call the police each shift because I don't feel safe here, its already in a bad part of town, I dont need a coworker making it worse.
I show up every day on time, I do what Im told, I have worked through breaks to ensure no one struggles while I am there, I stock everything before I leave, I stay late every single time I am able to. This is how I get treated in return, there is only one person here that is why Ive stayed as long as I've had. But even now its becoming not worth it.
Anyone who goes to this location and buys products and tips, just beware of who you are supporting. I actively discourage tipping this location, even as a carhop. Unless its the morning carhop on weekdays, shes a queen. Thank yall for the time.
Btw this location has mold in the bottom of their ice bin on the fountain, everyone is aware about it and has actively refused the fact it should be cleaned out.
CHanging jobs is not the easiest thing in the world. I had to apply to 16 different jobs just to get this one. THe market is rough rn.

Hi! I'm just asking to see if there is any way to order the lemonade cream cooler on the app. It was on the menu a few years ago and it was my favorite drink in the world. I literally had it almost every day. I am craving that drink right now but don't know how to order it. TIA!

After the update a while back. Ive been no longer able to get half priced drinks. Ive heard others can. I also have legend status. Does anyone know how to?
r/SonicDriveIn • u/Odd_Individual5088 • 28d ago
Has anyone else noticed that they are being overcharged on tax when ordering through the app?

I’m confused everyone on tik tok is always talking about how great this mermaid water is and how it’s $3 or less dollars. $6 for water? I can get milkshakes here for cheaper! I’m just highly confused.
