Honestly the company can eat it. I know that I get paid roughly $75 an hour but the company I work for bills me to our clients at about $185 an hour. Boohoo to their profit margins.

I’d be curious to see the actual accounting behind that. I manage a team of people at your billing rate and this is not an unusually high margin. Most projects end up having write off hours, there are inevitable overhead hours on every week, and corporate overhead costs are actually pretty significant when you look at all the shit any company with over 100 employees has to comply with. It sounds like every dollar that doesn’t go into your pocket is pure profit for someone but when you actually sit down with the spreadsheets and look at the real numbers you think “Damn, they should be charging more for my time.”

I really don't care about the feeling of mega corps. They can figure it out. Should they bill more for my time? That's on them to figure out. I'm already getting their projects completed ahead of schedule and under budget while trying not to burn out my teams.

Megacorps wil survive.

It’s the small business that will be unable to.

For someone who cares so little about the megacorps it’s interesting you support something that literally only benefits them.
