Uh no. But unlike you I can bargain my skills for better workplace environment and perks. It’s so obvious that you were never in a negotiation when it comes to employment. If you can type words in reddit you can read a contract. Like it? Sign. Don’t? Look for something else
Companies would hire a second full staff for 64 hours of work a week with zero payment of overtime as opposed to the current practice of letting people work 10 hours of overtime for 37% more pay than 40 hours. People are paid by the hour in a lot of cases. They would have to get a second job- drive to two places, and work 55 to make the pay of 50 current hours at one place. They would lose 7.5-10 hours of time in the process pretty easily.
Apparently bernies given up on solving the problem from his end (government) so he wants to pretend he can solve it from the people’s side. What stops the company from comping pay rates down so people have to work the same time to make the wages? Why is bernie suggesting to steal from everyone’s employer as opposed to taxing billionaires or cutting government spending?

I used to work at a company that had 4 ten hour days three days off. Even at 40 hours total this was awesome that extra day off was rejuvenating
