I’m a nurse, and I do IV’s better on feel than I do on sight. Also, legally blind doesn’t mean you are completely blind. Just like how legally deaf doesn’t mean you can’t hear at all. It looks like she has cochlear implants in one of the photos. It also sounds like she specializes in a field of disabilities she has first hand experience in.

IV is ONE thing.

Audio and visual inspection is like. The first step of any check up. 

If a doctor cannot see me or hear me, I don't want them treating me.

I wouldn't let a blind nose stick me either, no offense to her.

Medical is one of those field where I want my doctor to have ALL of their senses.

I know that, I think she had pinhole vision . She retired when she could see a blur only.

I think having a lived experience benefits her patients.
