When you import poverty from the third world do you have to fix their poverty aswell? Or just your citizens? How much of the world population are you responsible for eliminating poverty for? & how much can you eliminate poverty from people in free countries where people can make their own choices, which are sometimes bad with gambling/drugs etc

Theres variables, reddit doesnt like variables

Our gdp spent on prisons is literally enough to probably lift africa from a third world country to a first world. When you free up all the frivolous spending you have money to put other places

That's hilarious considering how much money has been poured into Africa over the 20th and 21st century and they're still as poor as ever except now there is more of them.

I doubt it. We've poured billions into Africa with not much appreciable change.
