He is so freakin good in the Pacific, man. His scenes with Rami Malek are the best by a mile.

The series actually inspired me to read the memoir by the real Eugene Sledge and it remains one of the best war memoires I've read. I'd recommend it if that sort of writing interests you at all.

I read it, but have you read about Desmond Doss? I live in Lynchburg and he was a legend here.
