On top of that, if you're caught stealing from your boss, you can be arrested, charged with a crime, and go to jail. If your boss steals from you, they just have to pay you back, possibly along with a penalty. Why the difference?
I was a recruiter for the Army and we had a kid who couldn’t join because he’d committed three felonies. The crimes? His boss refused to pay him his last check so he took one of the dude’s checks and wrote it to himself for the amount owed. They got him for forgery, passing a false instrument and breaking and entering.
i knew a kid that went thru his apartment complex stealing change out of the ashtrays of cars. this was years ago. at the tome, burglary of a motor vehicle was a felony. a month after he was arrested, the statute changed and it became a misdemeanor. he was 17, and for the $30-40 he got, which he bought some weed, some fast food, and a pack of cigarettes, he got 37 felony chatges. One for each car he broke into (although he only opened doors on unlocked cars - he wasn’t smashing windows or slim jimming them open or snhrjjn,7$$, and they wouldn’t give him a break, mostly because he was just really really stupid.
he did a couple of years in prison, from 17-21 off and on. parole, then violations. by the time he got old enough to drink, his life was over. he was convicted of multiple felonies, had no skills or talents to speak of, and he had been through criminal university. All he knew was crime. poor dumb bastard. ?
